Abstract

Abstract

Penilaian kualitas studi menggunakan tools The Central for Evidence Based Medicine develops (CEBM).

Abstract

The level of VO2 max has significance in relation to both physical activity and health. Nevertheless, it should be noted that there has been a lack of VO2Max tests conducted on convicted children at LPKA Class II Bengkulu. Therefore, this study aims to determine the VO2 max level among convicted children at LPKA Class II Bengkulu. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach to examine a sample of 91 children between the aged of 14 and 19 years. The VO2 max level test uses a multi-stage fitness test. The analysis of the research data involved the utilization of descriptive quantitative percentages, which were employed to compare the category tables. The study's findings indicated that a proportion of 1.1% exhibited VO2 max levels falling within the lower group, while a substantial majority of 98.90% showed VO2 max levels falling within the significantly lower category. Based on the study results, it was concluded that convicted children at LPKA Class II Bengkulu exhibited VO2Max levels that fell within the extremely bad range. Based on the findings of this study, LPKA supervisors should devise and execute a physical coaching regimen to enhance the VO2 max levels among convicted children.

Abstract

Gastric perforation has the potential to induce acute peritonitis, leading to intense pain and a significant mortality risk. A female patient, aged 67, presented with symptoms of intense abdominal pain affecting all regions of the abdomen and extending to the shoulder. The pain does not alleviate with rest and is aggravated by physical activity and coughing. The Chest X-ray examination revealed the presence of cardiomegaly, characterized by an enlarged heart and aortic elongation. The Abdomen X-ray examination revealed the presence of a pneumoperitoneum. Laparotomy may be conducted in individuals with gastric perforation to identify the pneumoperitoneum's underlying aetiology. The utilization of a concurrent administration of spinal anaesthesia (SA) and general anaesthesia (GA) demonstrates the effective reduction of hemodynamic impact during pneumoperitoneum while avoiding any associated adverse effects.

Abstract

Background: Allergic rhinitis is a growing global public health issue. Complications of allergic rhinitis include sinusitis, nasal polyps, bronchial asthma, and otitis media. Allergic rhinitis causes Eustachian tube dysfunction, which leads to chronic otitis media threefold more often. Chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) is marked by persistent tympanic membrane perforation and recurrent or persistent mucopurulent otorrhea. Purposes: This study is to determine the relationship between allergic rhinitis and the prevalence of chronic suppurative otitis media in Dr. M Yunus Bengkulu Hospital during 2019-2020. Methods: This was an observational cross-sectional study. This research is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. Thirty-three respondents were taken using a simple random sampling method. The SFAR (Score for Allergic Rhinitis) questionnaire was used in this study. Medical record data were used to collect CSOM information. Result: Seventy-five percent of respondents with allergic rhinitis also had chronic suppurative otitis media, while the prevalence of non-chronic suppurative otitis media was 25 percent. The p-value for the chi-square test was 0.031. Conclusion: For 2019-2020, there is a relationship between allergic rhinitis and the prevalence of chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) at Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu Hospital.
