Abstract

The rapid intensification of tropical aquaculture production presents formidable challenges in balancing disease management with environmental sustainability. Shifting from traditional antibiotic reliance, this review delves into the ecological integration of immunostimulants within aquaculture systems. By examining recent advancements in disease management, we assess how immunostimulants harmonize with ecosystem dynamics to bolster environmental resilience. Employing ecological systems theory, our framework incorporates artificial intelligence-enhanced monitoring and biosecurity strategies, proposing a holistic model for disease prevention. Our findings reveal that integrating immunostimulants with advanced ecological practices—such as polyculture systems and biofloc technology—yields synergistic benefits, enhancing fish immunity and ecosystem vitality. Specifically, this integrated approach achieves a 45% reduction in disease incidence compared to conventional methods, while also improving water quality and fostering beneficial microbial communities. The results underscore that the future of sustainable aquaculture hinges on sophisticated integration of immunostimulants within broader ecological management, supported by innovative technologies and comprehensive environmental monitoring. This approach not only addresses disease challenges but also promotes a more resilient aquaculture environment.

Abstract

Okra is a healthy vegetable and medication. Growing okra on an organic medium and adding charcoal may boost output. Okra plant growth metrics and yields will be examined about the organic growing medium and biochar dose. The study was place in March 2021 at Sekarpuro Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency. This study employed a factorial Randomised Block Design (RAK) with two factors: Organic Planting Media and Biochar dose. Plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), number of crop fruits (fruit), fruit weight per plant (grammes), fruit diameter, length, and bar weight are observation metrics—analysis of variance using ANOVA and BNT 5% difference test. The study found that 7.5 tons/ha of manure and 10 tons/ha of coconut fibre biochar naturally increased okra plant growth and output. Fruit and stem weights also varied with planting medium and charcoal. The finding is that organic growing medium treatment and biochar dose affect okra plant development.

Abstract

Palm oil agribusiness drives agricultural economic growth the greatest. Developing palm oil agriculture can solve economic issues. Despite low productivity, swamp areas can be used to grow oil palm plants to increase palm oil production. Due to low plant cultivation technology use from sowing to harvest and soil amelioration, plant productivity needs to be maximized. This study will qualitatively synthesize all research data to investigate biochar and organic materials as soil fertility and productivity supplements in swamp terrain. This study summarises primary research using a systematic review. Peer-reviewed PDF-formatted scientific literature. Journal articles in Indonesian and English on Instagram's usefulness as a digital socialization medium, especially in government institutions, were chosen. The Harzing Publish or Perish software searched Google, ScienceDirect, and Emerald for relevant papers from the past five years. This literature review was synthesized using a narrative method to group similar retrieved data by outcomes measured to meet objectives. According to the results, palm oil biomass waste as compost or biochar is a realistic way to manage organic waste. Biochar can sink atmospheric carbon as a soil amendment by converting biomass into aromatic carbon, which degrades less. This article discusses how waste management increases biological decomposition.

Abstract

This community service program strengthens the competitiveness of the Singosari Batik Association through digital transformation and appropriate technology. The association consists of around 30 artisans, mostly women, but faces constraints in wastewater management, limited use of natural dyes, and weak digital marketing. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with participatory action research, the program applied participatory observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation of production, waste management, and marketing activities. Interventions were designed and implemented in three areas: RO+ wastewater treatment technology, plant-based natural dye technology, and digital marketing for batik promotion and sales. The RO+ system combines multistage pretreatment, sedimentation, and reverse osmosis to reduce pollutant loads in batik wastewater before discharge. Natural dye training introduced plant-based dye sources, extraction and dyeing techniques, and fixation using ferrous sulfate (tunjung) to improve color fastness. Digital marketing interventions included training on content creation, branding, social media management, marketplace use, and TikTok Live–based selling. The results show increased awareness and capacity for environmentally friendly production, supported by RO+ technology and standard operating procedures for wastewater management. The adoption of natural dyes expanded product variety and strengthened the identity of “environmentally friendly Singosari batik." The use of TikTok and other digital platforms improved promotion consistency, audience reach, and sales volume. Overall, the integrated application of appropriate technology and digital marketing enhanced the association's productivity, environmental responsibility, and market competitiveness, and was welcomed by artisans.
