Abstract

The life of Nagari Limau Gadang residents is poor. They conduct economic activities in Kerinci Seblat National Park (TNKS), so that TNKS become damaged. To reduce the economic activities of the people in TNKS, it is necessary to conduct economic activities outside TNKS to improve the family economy. Catfish farming can serve as the main effort to increase family income. Economically catfish farming is very profitable. Catfish farming is not difficult and can be done by farmers who do not usually cultivate freshwater fish. The right family member is empowered to improve the family economy through the cultivation of catfish is the farmer's wife. Farmer’s wives in Limau Gadang Nagari tend not to improve the family economy, they play the role of taking care of children, doing housework and sometimes delivering food to the fields and to the fields. The farmer’s wife activity is only fulfilling the wife's obligation to husband in married life. Farmers' wives are economically unproductive in improving the family economy. The goal to be achieved in this research is for the wife of farmers can contribute to improve the family economy. Specific targets to be achieved in this study is the wife of skilled farmers cultivate catfish, Nagari Limau Gadang population increases their living standards and TNKS in Nagari Limau Gadang free from the pressure of the population. How to research, selected 20 poor farmer's wife then trained to make ponds and pellets. The pools made are the main pond, spawning pond, nursery pool and pond enlargement. Pellet made from raw trash fish, quail feces, fine bran and cassava. The pellet formulation is made of 4 kinds. Each formulation produces a quality pellet. Based on laboratory test produced pellet contains very good nutrition for enlargement catfish. The nutritional range of protein is 21,79%-34,60%, fat is 1,95%-2,32% and carbohydrate is 26,55%-39,65%. The farmer's wife understands and skillfully creates ponds and pellets. Pellet made from raw materials trash fish, quail feces, fine bran and cassava can be used as raw material pellet. Keyword: cultivation, catfish, farmer's wife, income, family.

Abstract

LKPD Experiment based on Scientific Approach can guide students in developing a concept from the materials they have learned in lab work activity. Based on the matter, a study had done which aimed to produce LKPD experiment using Scientific Approach Based for the students grade XI at SMA/MA it was valid and practical.This study was an elaborated study which had three stages in conducting the research. There was known as 4D model which were define, design, develop. The data were collected by using validity questionnaire and practicality. The subject of this study were 2 biology lecturers, and 2 biology teachersas the validators, 2 biology teachers and 25 students grade XI Science at SMAN 1 Batusangkar, as the practicalitator. The data of this study was primary data which was validity and practical data. The result of this study showed that the LKPDexperiment based on scientific approach for the students grade XI 1st Semester SMA/MA was really valid and really practical.

Abstract

Education is a conscious effort to improve the quality of learners both from aspects of science, attitude, and skills. During this school education focuses on the development of intellectual intelligence (IQ), which absorbs as much science but not yet touched on emotional intelligence (EQ) and spiritual (SQ). These three potentials should have been integrated in biology learning. Based on the results of research that has been done, the product results are LKPD nuanced ESQ on the cell material for students of grade VII SMP / MTs. Result of validity test with value of 81,37% by validator fulfill valid criterion, Result of validity in terms of feasibility of content, language, presentation and graphics. Practical test result with 92,53% value by teacher with very practical criteria from ease of use, time efficiency and forgiveness, while the result of practical test by student with 82,65% practical criterion from convenience, and benefit.

Abstract

Cross-interest is a curricular program that is provided to accommodate the expansion of students' interests, talents, and academic abilities with a mastery orientation of a group of scholarly subjects beyond the choice of interests. Selection of cross-interest subjects at SMAN 1 Pasaman is determined by the school. Based on daily test result on cell materials in class XI IPS, it is known that there are still many students who have not get the minimum completeness criteria. Implementation of make a match learning model is an attempt to overcome the problem. This study aims to determine the effect of applying make-match learning model to the learning outcomes of students cross-interest about reproduction system human material class XI IPS in SMAN 1 Pasaman. This research is a quasi experimental by using Non-Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design. The population in this study is all students of Class XI IPS in SMAN 1 Pasaman. Samples were taken using Purposive Sampling technique. In this study Class XI IPS 5 as experimental class and class XI IPS 2 as a control class. The instrument used is the final test of multiple choice questions as much as 20 items. The result of t test is known that t-value> t-table (3.51> 1.67). Therefore, the hypothesis is stated acceptable. So it can be concluded that the application of make a match learning model gives a positive influence on the learning outcomes of learners cross-interest about reproduction system material in human class XI IPS in SMAN 1 Pasaman.

Abstract

Scientific attitude is a collection of several important aspects that describe the interaction of each student. This study aims to study the quality of scientific attitudes carried out by students when carrying out practical learning in Natural Sciences-Biology Class VIII SMPN 34 Padang. The aspects of scientific thought discussed include: 1) curiosity, 2) respect for data, 3) critical thinking, 4) discovery and creativity, 5) open thinking and working together, 6) perseverance, and 7) sensitive to Surrounding environment. This type of research is a descriptive study, with a total of 280 students and a sample of 108 students consisting of 9 classes. Sampling using Proportional Cluster Random Sampling technique by taking ± 40% of the total population. Data collection using questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis was performed quantitatively with the percentage analysis method. From this study obtained research on scientific quality assessment on every aspect of the aspect curiosity has good criteria, aspects of respect for data that have adequate criteria, critical aspects of thinking have sufficient criteria, aspects of discovery and considerations that have good quality, aspects of open thinking and working together have good criteria, perseverance aspects have good criteria, and aspects that are sensitive to the environment have criteria. So, the quality of scientific thinking of students in the implementation of science-biology learners.

Abstract

There are not many articles that discuss the application of the Talking Chips type cooperative learning model or also known as the jingling buttons in the study of Biology, there are differences in the dependent variables discussed in each article and there has been no research with a literature study on the effect of applying the cooperative learning model type. Talking Chips on the learning competence of SMA/Vocational High School students became the background of the researcher in writing this thesis. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying the Talking Chips learning model on the learning competence of SMA/SMK students based on a literature study. The type of research used is literature study research which refers to the research conducted previously. The data used in the form of secondary data in the form of articles in journals that have been accredited by SINTA and related to the application of the Talking Chips type cooperative learning model to the learning competencies of SMA/SMK students. The research sample is all sample members who are applied with the Talking Chips type cooperative learning model contained in the specified article.Learning by using the Talking Chips model is able to improve the learning competence of students in the aspects of knowledge competence, attitude competence, and skill competence. It is hoped that this research can be a source of information and reference in the use of the Talking Chips learning model so that effective learning can be carried out.

Abstract

Students at SMPN 27 Padang tend to be passive when the learning process takes place which results in low learning outcomes of students in natural science subjects. This study aims to determine the effect of giving home assignments in the form of Mind Map prior to the application of the Giving Question and Getting Answer (GQGA) active learning model on science learning competencies in the aspects of knowledge and attitudes of students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 27 Padang. This research is a Quasi-Experimental study and uses the Control Group Posttest Only Design. The study population was all students of Class VIII SMP Negeri 27 Padang. The technique used is Purposive Sampling. The control class uses the Direct Intruction learning model and the experimental class uses the active learning model Giving Question and Getting Answer by giving home assignments in the form of a Mind Map. The research instrument used was a test of learning outcomes and attitude assessment in the form of an observation sheet. T test results are known that the knowledge competency of tcount>ttable (4.99>1.67), and the results of the t test of competency attitude known tcount>ttable (6.36>1.67). This shows that the hypothesis is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the assignment of homework in the form of Mind Map prior to the application of the active learning model Giving Question and Getting Answer (GQGA) significantly influences the science learning competence in the aspects of knowledge and attitudes of students.

Abstract

Learning success is known through assessment. The 2013 Curriculum Assessment emphasizes assessments that train students to be able to Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). HOTS capabilities according to Bloom's taxonomy include the ability to analyze, evaluate, and create. The results of observations note that students' HOTS ability is still lacking and the availability of HOTS assessment instruments for cell material used as guidelines is not yet available. One way to train students' HOTS is to develop an instrument of higher order thinking skills on cell material. This research is a 4D model development research, which is define, design, development, and dissemination. The research subjects consisted of 2 lecturers majoring in Biology FMIPA UNP. The object is assessment instrument HOTS on cell material. The results showed that the assessment instrument had an average value of 89.23% validity with valid criteria. The assessment instruments were developed based on aspects of material, construction, language, and higher order thinking skills. To be conclude, assessment instrument has valid and can be used to measure and train HOTS students, especially cell material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan rendahnya kompetensi kognitif siswa dalam pembelajaran Biologi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan antara motivasi belajar ekstrinsik dengan kompetensi belajar kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Teknik pengumpulan data yang penulis gunakan adalah dengan menggunakan angket yang diberikan kepada siswa, dengan angket ini penulis memperoleh data tentang motivasi belajar ekstrinsik dengan kompetensi belajar kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi selama pembelajaran online. Setelah data diperoleh penulis menggunakan rumus kriteria nilai dan uji normalitas serta melakukan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan product moment dan menggunakan rumus koefisien determinasi untuk mengetahui kontribusi variabel X dan Y. Subjek penelitian adalah 48 siswa kelas X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata uji hipotesis didapatkan hasil nilai t_hitung   yaitu 2,668 dan t_tabel  yaitu 2,074, hubungan  antara motivasi belajar ekstrinsik dengan kompetensi belajar kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi 0,65, kontribusi motivasi belajar ekstrinsik terhadap kompetensi belajar kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi adalah 12,13% dan 87,87% ditentukan oleh faktor lain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara motivasi belajar ekstrinsik dengan kompetensi belajar kognitif Biologi.

Abstract

IPA merupakan salah stau mata pelajaran yang menuntut siswanya untuk memiliki kebiasaan belajar yang positif agar dapat memahami segala materi yang disajikan. Hanya saja pada pelaksanaanya dilapangan tidak semua siswa memiliki kebiasaan belajar yang baik sehingga hasil belajar siswa tergolong rendah. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara kebiasaan belajar dengan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelasional dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 71 orang siswa kelas VIII, penarikan sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik satruration sampling  yaitu seluruh anggota populasi dijadikan sampel dalam penelitian. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancar, dan penyebaran angket. Instrument angket yang digunakan yakni berupa kuisioner kebiasaan belajar yang terdiri dari 42 butir pernyataan. Data hasil penelitian kemudian dianalisis dengan Data yang telah dikumpulkan selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan rumus korelasi Spearman Rank. Selanjutnya untuk mengetahui mengetahui koefisien berarti atau tidak, dilakukan pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan rumus uji-t. hasil analisis penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sumbangan kebiasaan belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Natural Sinces adalah (12,25%) dan (87,75%) ditentukan oleh faktor lain. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kebiasaan belajar dengan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA.
