Abstract

Abstract[Types of Herpetofauna Identification in the Gunung Permisan Nature Park, South Bangka, Bangka Belitung Islands Province]. The Nature Tourism Park, Gunung Permisan is a conservation area located in Permis Village, South Bangka Regency. This study was conducted to identify the types of herpetofauna diversity in Gunung Permisan. Herpetofauna are including reptile and amphibian classes, that played  an important role in maintaining the balance and sustainability of the ecosystem. The research method was using the exploration and Visual Encounter Survey. The type of herpetofauna was identified by observing the morphological differences. A total of 7 species consist of 5 species of the Amphibians and 2 species of the Reptiles have been collected from the research. These 7 species consist of two order Anura and Squamata. Anura has 2 families, including: Dicroglossidae and Ranidae. Squamata has 2 families, including Viperidae and Scincidae. The diversity of herpetofauna in the Gunung Permisan was medium category. Keywords: Gunung Permisan; Herpetofauna; Amphibian; Reptile.ABSTRAKTaman Wisata Alam Gunung Permisan merupakan wilayah konservasi yang berada di Desa Permis, Kabupaten Bangka Selatan.

Abstract

Catfish is a freshwater fish commodity that is currently being sought after by many people for consumption. The demand for catfish is increasing day by day. Catfish farming is one business that can develop rapidly. In the fish culture system, there are several factors such as fish growth. Factors that greatly affect the growth and development of fish are feed. The research objective was to determine the effect of different feeding on the growth and development of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) and to determine the nutritional content of types of feed for African catfish (Clarias gariepinus). This research was conducted in Desa Tugang, Kelapa District, West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The research was conducted by observing the growth of catfish seeds which included total length, total weight, height, head length, tail length and dorsal fin length. The development of catfish seeds observed was the activity of moving and eating feed for 3 weeks of maintenance. The results of the study were calculated using the absolute weight growth formula and the absolute length growth formula. The study design used a completely randomized design (CRD) using 2 variations of feed with 5 times of repetition. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), to determine whether or not the feed given was significant or not on the growth of catfish. The results showed that catfish seeds fed natural earthworms had a faster growth and better development rate compared to pellet-fed catfish seeds. The ANOVA test results different feeding showed a significant effect on total length growth weight, total weight, head length, and dorsal fin length (F count?F table). Meanwhile, height and tail length did not have a significant effect (F count < F table). Keywords: Growth, Development, Catfish, Feed.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to determine the diversity of phenotypes and the status of environmental carrying capacity in local chicken cultivation in Merawang District, Bangka Regency. This research was conducted in 5 villages in Merawang District which have many local chicken coops. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out by gender. The parameters observed in this study were phenotype observations in the form of qualitative characteristics (feather color, feather pattern, feather pattern, feather flickering, shark color and comb type) and quantitative traits (chicken body weight, chicken, chicken breast circumference, length of femur, shank length and environmental parameters). The results obtained were 164 local chickens. The chickens obtained consisted of 108 female chickens and 56 male chickens. The results showed the dominant comb shape was rose (male) and pea (female), feather color was white (male) and colored (female), yellow shank color, feather pattern for both males. and dominantly striated females. The dominant feather pattern is Colombia, while the flickering feathers are dominant for both local and female chickens. The results showed that the body weight of local chickens in five villages, Merawang District had an average of 12.6 ± 9.33 kg (male) and 192.4 ± 2.87 kg (female). Based on body size data, values in millimeters (mm) were obtained for males and females, such as body length 1.734 ± 51.53 and 3.091 ± 104.13; shank lengths 306.6±9.78 and 551.8±18.16; thigh (femur) length 749±28.53 and 1,403±46.74; calf length (tibia) 702±17.60 and 1,228±38.29; and shank circumferences 63.6 ±1.16 and 121±3.77. The average temperature of the cage during observation was 28ºC with feed given an average of three times a day, namely in the morning, afternoon and evening. Environmental factors such as housing and temperature become the carrying capacity of local chicken cultivation in Bangka.
