Abstract

The purpose of this study was: 1) To find out the amount of income received by farmers from copra business in Sribatara Village, Lasalimu Sub-district, Buton Regency; 2) To find out the value of the feasibility of copra business in Sribatara Village, Lasalimu Sub-district, Buton Regency. This research was carried out in Sribatara Village, Lasalimu Sub-district, Buton Regency, from June to July 2017. The technique of determining the sample in this study was conducted by the census (sampling saturated) as many as 20 copra farmers. Based on the results of the study and discussion showed that the income of copra business farmers in Sribatara Village, Lasalimu Subdistrict, Buton Regency, was 13,538,537 per year. Furthermore, the results of the feasibility analysis of copra business were obtained with average revenue of IDR 17,204,000, -per year, - while the average total cost is IDR 3,665,463 per year and has an R/C ratio of 4.69. This snows that each cost is IDR 1 then provides revenue of IDR 4.69.   Keywords: Farming Analysis, Copra, Farming Feasibility

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) to describe the form of empowerment of farmer communities through the institutional strengthening of coffee farmers (2) to describe the model of farmer empowerment through institutional strengthening and (3) identify the obstacles encountered in empowering coffee farmers through institutional strengthening. The study was conducted in Kaongke Ongkea Village, Pasarwajo Subdistrict, Buton Regency in February - April 2017. The study was conducted using qualitative methods. The object of research is coffee farmers involved in coffee processing groups. Data collected through in-depth interviews with informants. The results showed that the form of empowerment of coffee farmers through strengthening institutional farmers, namely: a) increasing the capacity of Human Resources and strengthening farming capital, b) the model of empowering farmer communities through strengthening farmer institutions, namely: creating a social situation or climate, strengthening the potential or power owned by farmers and protect from all their weaknesses, c) obstacles encountered in empowering farmers through institutional strengthening, among others: internal constraints namely: limited human resources, especially farmers and limited budgets at the farm level in developing farming. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence consumer behavior towards corn demand in households. This research was conducted in Pasarwajo Sub-district of Buton Regency, namely in three villages including Kaongkeongke, Wangguanggu and Warinta villages in September - December 2018. The population in this study were all households in three villages within the subdistrict area. Sampling was taken by a multi-stages cluster random sampling method with a total sample of 108 households. The results of data analysis obtained the F-count value of 13,674 with a significance level at ? = 0.05 (an error rate of 5% or 95% confidence level) of 0,000. The significance value is smaller than the value ? = 0.05, and the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.525, which means that 52.5% of the diversity of the dependent variable (corn demand) is explained or can be explained by the diversity of independent variables, namely the price of corn, prices rice, cassava prices, household income, number of household members, and housewife education significantly influence the demand for corn, while the price of sweet potatoes and tastes do not significantly affect the demand for corn. The remaining 47.5% is explained by the diversity of other variables not included in the analysis model. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that consumer behavior is influenced by variable corn prices, rice prices, cassava prices, household incomes, number of household members, and housewife education significantly influence corn demand, whereas sweet potato prices and tastes do not significantly influence demand corn.   Keywords: consumer behavior, corn demand, households

Abstract

The aim of this research was: (1) to find out the amount of income received from the tofu business; (2) to find out the value of the viability of the tofu business. This research was carried out in the IKM Dwi Berkah industry in Kancinaa Village, Pasarwajo Sub-district, Buton Regency from July to August 2019, considering that the Kancinaa Village was one of the areas of tofu business and that the area was easily reached. This type of research is a case study, so that tofu-making business owners are used as a source to gather the information needed by researchers. The data obtained were then analyzed using a profit analysis of ?= TR-TC and researchers used the R / C ratio formula to determine the feasibility of the business. The results of this research show that the profit is Rp 58,094,450/month in a single production process. In addition, the 1.51 R / C ratio was also achieved in such a way that the IKM Dwi Berkah tofu industry was competitive and viable to grow in the Kancinaa Village Pasarwajo Sub-district of Buton Regency.   Keywords: feasibility, efficiency, cost, tofu industry

Abstract

The research aims (1). Knowing changes concentration in agricultural waste, especially water spinach kale and spinach as a source of food for growth and survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). (2). Knowing at what concentration of agricultural waste, especially bran kale and spinach as a source of food for growth and survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The study was conducted in March to May 2020 in the Village of Liabuku, Bungi sub-district, Baubau town. The experimental design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 levels of treatment and 3 replications, thus there were 12 experimental units (Gasperstz, 1991), namely: (1) Pellet Feed (Mill) / Control (2) Treatment A (70 kale waste + 20% snail flour + 10 rice bran), (3) Treatment B (60 Kale waste + 30% snail flour + 10 rice bran) ), (4) Treatment C (50% kale waste + 40% snail flour + 10 rice bran). The provision of concentrations in the form of agricultural waste, especially kale, snail flour, and bran as a source of food does not have a significant effect on absolute growth, survival rates, and feed conversion to tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) that are kept in ponds using nets. Absolute growth, survival rates, and the best feed conversion at treatment C (50% Kale Waste + 40% snail flour + rice bran 10) which are maintained in a pond using a net. Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of the use of various sources of feed protein on the growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) which are cultivated in the Soil Pond. While the expected benefits are to increase the growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), as well as information material for further research. The study was conducted in November to January 2020 in Liabuku Village, Bungi District, Baubau City. The experimental design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 3 treatments and 3 replications (Gasperstz, 1991), namely: (1) Treatment A with protein content of corn flour (2) Treatment B with protein content of Moringa leaf flour (3) Treatment C with protein content of lamtoro leaf flour. Concentration of corn pellet feed, moringa leaf flour and lamtoro leaf as artificial feed did not have a significant effect on the absolute growth, specific growth and survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) which were maintained in ponds. Absolute growth, specific growth and the best survival rate for treatment B (moringa leaf flour) maintained in ground pools.

Abstract

Kappaphycus alvarezii seaweed is one of the main commodities of cultivated fisheries which is widely cultivated because its production technology is relatively cheap and easy and post-harvest handling is relatively easy and simple. This type of seaweed is capable of producing carrageenan which is widely used in various industries. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku konsumen terhadap permintaan jagung pada rumahtangga”. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Pasarwajo Kabupaten Buton, yaitu pada tiga desa yang meliputi desa Kaongkeongke, Wangguanggu dan Warinta pada bulan September - Desember 2018. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua rumahtangga yang terdapat pada tiga desa dalam wilayah kecamatan. Penarikan sampel dilakukan secara multy stages cluster random sampling method dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 108 rumahtangga. Hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai Fhitung sebesar 13,674 dengan tingkat signifikansi pada a = 0,05 (tingkat kesalahan 5% atau tingkat kepercayaan 95%) sebesar 0,000. Nilai signifikansi tersebut lebih kecil dari nilai a = 0,05, dan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) diperoleh sebesar 0,525 yang berarti bahwa 52,5% keragaman variabel terikat (permintaan jagung) dijelaskan atau dapat diterangkan oleh keragaman variabel bebas yaitu harga jagung, harga beras, harga singkong, pendapatan rumahtangga, jumlah anggota rumahtangga, dan pendidikan ibu rumahtangga berpengaruh nyata terhadap permintaan jagung, sedangkan harga ubi jalar dan selera tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap permintaan jagung. Sisanya sebesar 47,5% dijelaskan oleh keragaman variabel lain yang tidak dimasukkan dalam model analisis. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa perilaku konsumen dipengaruhi variabel harga jagung, harga beras, harga singkong, pendapatan rumahtangga, jumlah anggota rumahtangga, dan pendidikan ibu rumahtangga berpengaruh nyata terhadap permintaan jagung, sedangkan harga ubi jalar dan selera tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap permintaan jagung.

Abstract

The corona outbreak is still a disease that cannot be predicted when it will stop. There are many things that can be done. Starting from eating nutritious food to maintaining stamina with exercise and taking herbal medicines so that the body's immune system remains optimal during the Covid pandemic, one of which is ginger. Kaongke-Ongkea Village has the potential for ginger plants to be developed as instant jehe production as herbal drinks to maintain endurance and body warmth. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide information and knowledge about instant ginger products that can increase family economic income during a pandemic and provide skills in the process of making instant ginger products with innovative new flavors to be commercialized.The method of activities that will be applied to achieve the goals of community service is the method of lectures, discussions and demonstrations directly in the field which is based on an initial evaluation to find out the knowledge and skills of the target group about processing instant ginger as an herbal drink. Based on the results of the training activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that instant ginger processing service activities can provide information and knowledge about instant ginger products can increase family economic income during a pandemic if it is carried out properly and service activities for instant ginger processing can provide skills in the process of making instant ginger products with innovative new flavors for commercialization

Abstract

This community service aims to provide knowledge and understanding of Intellectual Property Rights for UMKM actors in Buton Regency. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) have a very important role in encouraging the increase in the pace of the creative economy in the real sector of a nation, and are able to increase income for the community. Moreover, if it is added to the UMKM products, they already have intellectual property rights legally in their protection. The benefits of the role of Intellectual Property by business actors for UMKM products in Buton Regency so far have not been maximized, this is due to a lack of understanding in the community that the importance of Intellectual Property Rights as a form of legal protection from business competition over copyright claims so that there are still many UMKM products not yet available. registered as an example of a woven sarong product in the district of Wabula, Buton Regency.
