Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to carry out counseling and empowerment in the process of processing cassava into kaopi (flour) which has a soft texture, white color and a distinctive aroma (like fresh cassava) and a good packaging system and branding for business groups. women farmers in Bola Village, Batauga District, South Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The method of implementing community service is through the participatory action research (PAR) method which is carried out using participatory techniques such as Focus Group Discussions (FGD), surveys with the involvement of all members of business groups as interviewers, formal and non-formal discussions and discussions with stakeholders, so that people recognize the potential and existing problems and encourage participation in the activities carried out. The results of the implementation of community service activities show that the process of processing cassava into good and soft kaopi has been successful because the women farming business group has understood the stages in the kaopi processing process. So that the resulting kaopi has a soft texture, white color, does not smell and has been packaged properly in branded packaging.

Abstract

Bungi sub-district is one of the sub-districts where many people plant sweet star fruit in their yards. Efforts to diversify processed star fruit products have not received much public attention. This is because star fruit has perishable constraints with a short shelf life, making the fruit have low economic value. The purpose of this activity is to create new products from processed starfruit, which is expected to provide benefits to the community as new innovations in processing, and can increase the selling value of starfruit from the previous period. In addition, training activities with local residents provide new knowledge that can be applied independently by farmers and the community in developing optimal business. Community service is held in June. The location of the community service activities is in Bungi District, Baubau City, as the center for producing star fruit. Community assistance activities regarding the manufacture of processed star fruit can increase economic income and form women's hydroponic farmer groups

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengaruh faktor kualitas produk dan harga terhadap keputusan pembelian tepung "Kaopi'ku". Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 100 konsumen yang membeli tepung "Kaopi'ku". Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi berganda dan uji t dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produk tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian dengan nilai probabilitas sebesar 0,473 > 0,05, dan nilai t yang dihitung untuk variabel kualitas produk adalah 0,719 ˂ 1,666, yang menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produk tidak memiliki pengaruh parsial terhadap keputusan pembelian. Sebaliknya, harga memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian dengan nilai probabilitas sebesar 0,000 ˂ 0,05, dan nilai t yang dihitung untuk variabel harga adalah 7,079 ˃ 1,666, yang menunjukkan bahwa harga memiliki pengaruh signifikan secara parsial terhadap keputusan pembelian. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen terhadap tepung "Kaopi'ku" dan menyoroti implikasi praktis yang dapat diambil dari temuan penelitian ini bagi pemangku kepentingan yang relevan.

Abstract

Water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica) is a fast-growing leafy vegetable with high nutritional value, making it a potential source of local food and a means to increase household income. This community service was conducted by the lecturers of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Muhammadiyah Buton, together with students, aiming to enhance the technical and managerial capacity of the community in hydroponic water spinach cultivation in Desa Karae. The implement tation method applied a participatory approach through Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), interactive extension, technical demonstra tions, and continuous mentoring. Observations revealed that the rocky and less fertile land conditions can be addressed using a simple hydroponic system based on PVC/net pot and rockwool media. This holistic and participatory approach improved community knowledge, skills, and awareness in utilizing home gardens as food and income sources while promoting self-reliance and the replication of hydroponic farming independently.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the competitiveness of breadfruit chips products in Wabula 1 Village, Buton Regency, through branding strategies and creative packaging aimed at reaching the millennial generation market. The method used consists of three main stages: first, training and workshops to provide an understanding of the importance of branding, attractive packaging design, and the use of digital marketing; second, assistance in implementing the branding and packaging design strategies that have been learned, as well as the use of social media for promotion; third, product evaluation and promotion through market trials and various marketing channels, such as social media, local bazaars, and online marketplaces. The results of this activity showed that the training participants were very enthusiastic and gained new insights that were relevant to current market needs. Business actors are now better prepared to face market challenges, take advantage of digital opportunities, and introduce breadfruit chips products as quality local products. With this assistance and training, it is hoped that the breadfruit chips business can grow more rapidly and be known more widely, both in the local market and the larger market.

Abstract

Budidaya nenas di Indonesia tidak hanya menjadi sektor pertanian strategis tetapi juga memiliki potensi besar dalam pemanfaatan sumber daya alam. Tingginya permintaan pasar terhadap buah nenas memberikan peluang untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan daya saing sektor ini. Pengembangan dan klasifikasi usaha budidaya nenas menjadi fokus penting untuk mengoptimalkan potensi yang ada, dan kolaborasi antar berbagai pihak (stakeholder) menjadi kunci utama keberhasilan dalam upaya ini. Pengembangan usaha yang dilakukan PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) Cabang Baubau di Balai Pertanian Desa Walambe Nowite, Kabupaten Muna, tetapi juga menciptakan sinergi yang kuat dengan semua stakeholder terkait. Permasalahan yang dihadapi petani di Desa Walambe Nowite, Kabupaten Muna adalah kelimpahan hasil panen nenas yang dijual dalam bentuk segar. Situasi ini menimbulkan risiko pembusukan pada jangka panjang dan menurunkan nilai jual nenas tersebut. Hal ini menciptakan tantangan dalam pemasaran dan keberlanjutan usaha bagi petani di wilayah tersebut. Sehingga diperlukan strategi budidaya dan penanganan pasca panen yang tepat guna untuk memaksimalkan potensi nenas dalam meningkatkan nilai ekonomi petani setempat. Strategi budidaya nenas dengan menerapan sistem tanam tumpangsari nenas dan jagung untuk memaksimalkan lahan secara efisien, menciptakan sinergi antar tanaman, dan meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian secara keseluruhan. Keberhasilan strategi budidaya ini diukur melalui peningkatan hasil panen nenas dan jagung, optimalisasi pemanfaatan lahan, dan perbaikan kondisi lingkungan pertanian. Penanganan pasca panen nenas dengan melakukan proses pengolahan buah nenas menjadi selei dan sirup nenas. Sehingga dapat menghindari pembusukandan juga memberikan peluang baru bagi petani untuk mendiversifikasi pendapatan.
