Abstract

Purpose of Study: This study aims to identify social practices of literacy and numeracy using the CRT approach in Sociology learning. Methodology: This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenology type. The data source consists of focus group discussion (FGD) results, observation, and document analysis. FGD involves sociology teachers in Soloraya, with the purposive sampling technique used to select informants. Observation was carried out directly by observing the sociology learning process in the class. Document analysis includes teaching modules, sociology learning gain, student worksheets, and other learning sets. Data validity was tested using source and method triangulation. Data analysis was done using Interpretative Phenomenology Analysis, encompassing four stages: bracketing, intuiting, analyzing, and describing. Main Findings: The result of the research shows that teachers get a support system from government regulation, the Merdeka Mengajar platform, the learning community, the supervisor, and the subject teacher working group. Each of the parties plays a role that supports CRT-based literacy and numeracy learning. The learning activity can be identified in three things. Firstly, teachers hold the authority to accustom the students to using numeric data in the context of local culture. Secondly, teachers integrate numeric data from local cultures to make learning more relevant and contextual. Thirdly, teachers create an inclusive learning environment by accommodating numeric data in the context of local culture. Novelty/Originality of Study: By applying CRT, sociology teachers teach literacy and numeracy skills and help students see the relevance of these skills in understanding and participating in social change.

The results of this study indicate that beauty standards and women's issues are interconnected. Individual perspectives may change as a result of advances in information and technology, particularly the impact of social media platforms such as Instagram. This is demonstrated by the emergence of Instagram accounts @cantik.id and @cantik, which feature two prestigious universities as digital products that can influence how beauty standards are formed, especially among female students, such as having a proportional body shape, capturing the right angles, smooth skin, and a fair body.

Abstract

Definitions and attributes of poverty has been too much attached to the economic aspects, especially measured by the level of income per capita, whereas the root of poverty is lack of access for poor people to participate in determining their own destiny in the decision making process for the purpose of policy formulation in various fields of life. Poverty should also include a lack of understanding and awareness of the law, mechanisms of assistance and legal assistance and access to the political process in decision making. If the poor are involved, then they will get protection of law. This is where the view on poverty from a legal perspective is becoming increasingly important. Poverty experienced by most women in Indonesia, especially women living in rural areas so that poverty limits the capacity of women to access justice. Poor access to justice is then further leads to further women trapped in poverty. Various studies and reports have revealed various obstacles that women face in accessing justice. The main obstacle is the general lack of awareness and understanding of their legal rights. To overcome these obstacles, one of the strategies to improve women's access to justice is legal empowerment or the empowerment law. In general, legal empowerment or the empowerment law is an effort aimed at strengthening the marginalized people, including in this case is a group of women, in order to improve their control over their lives, by making use of legal resources in the community and development activities related and not solely relying on legal institutions (formal).
