Abstract

During the Covid-19 Pandemic every school, especially at the elementary school level, was enforced online learning. Therefore, media are needed that can help teachers and students to keep doing the process of teaching and learning activities. One medium that can help teachers and students interact is google classroom. The purpose of this devotion is to assist teachers and students in using Google Classroom media on online learning. The devotional team uses practice and discussion methods in these training activities. The results of this devotion teachers feel helped because by using google classroom can make it easier for teachers to provide materials, assignments, and facilitate the assessment process. In addition, students feel happy because with google classroom students can ask for material that is not yet understood.

Abstract

The background of this research is the importance of mathematics in daily life and the difficulties experienced by students in understanding mathematical concepts, especially division. This study aims to analyze the difficulties of students in solving integer division using the porogapit method in grade IV of SD Negeri Legok II, Indramayu Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects were 6 people who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. Data analysis uses qualitative data analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results showed that students experienced difficulties in three main aspects: understanding problems, performing division calculation operations, and solving problems. Most students have difficulty in the division calculation operation even though they already understand the porogapit method. This difficulty has an impact on the understanding and application of mathematical concepts in daily life. This research provides recommendations for improving learning methods that can improve students' understanding and ability in integer division

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difficulties faced by students in solving the matrix material story problem and the factors causing it. This study used a qualitative approach with research subjects in class XI, which consisted of three female students. Determination of research subjects using a purposive sample technique. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, documentation in the form of pictures and videos, and field notes. The results of this research are the difficulties faced by students in solving the matrix material story problems, namely: the steps for solving problems according to Polya, the material matrix, and the time. Factors that cause students difficulty in solving the matrix material story problems, namely: (1) students are not accustomed to using Polya's steps, (2) not writing stages 1 to 4 of Polya's steps because they are still confused about the placement of the stages, (3) not writing the explanations in the second stage, namely problem-solving planning, (4) not writing the fourth stage, which is checking the results again or verification, (5) students still have not mastered the matrix material because their learning has been using online or online, (6) calculation errors, (7) time in working on story problems with limited matrix material due to nourishing learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Teachers play a determining role in students' success in achieving learning goals. Therefore, Pedagogical Content Knowledge is an ability that teachers and prospective teachers must have. This research aims to describe the Pedagogical Content Knowledge profile of prospective mathematics teachers in collaborative online learning, especially in courses evaluating mathematics learning processes and outcomes. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Prospective mathematics teacher students who contracted courses in evaluating the process and results of mathematics learning from Wiralodra University and Nahdlatul Wathan University of Mataram, were the subjects of this research. The instruments used in this research were a test of understanding the concept of evaluating mathematics learning processes and outcomes, questionnaires, and learning documentation via the Phytagoras LMS. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction stages, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, it was found that students in the mathematics learning process and outcome evaluation course whose lectures were held collaboratively online had a very good Pedagogical Content Knowledge profile and gave a positive response to the implementation of collaborative online learning.

Abstract

The limited student understanding of arithmetic sequences and series, along with the minimal use of interactive Android-based learning media, served as the foundation for this study. The main objective of this research was to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of an Android-based learning application called BETAMATH in enhancing students' comprehension of the topic. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, using the 4D development model, which includes the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The developed product was validated by subject matter experts, media specialists, and pedagogical experts, and was tested on tenth-grade students. Validation results indicated that BETAMATH is suitable for use in the classroom. Practicality testing revealed that the application is easy to use, based on student feedback and teacher observations. The effectiveness of the media was confirmed by a significant improvement in students' understanding, as shown by pretest and posttest results. Therefore, BETAMATH is considered valid, practical, and effective for improving student understanding of arithmetic sequences and series, and holds promise as an innovative alternative to support mathematics instruction in schools.
