Tracer Study adalah penelitian yang mngumpulkan informasi tentang sebaran para alumni dan berbagai masukan yang dapat membantu pengembangan kutikulum dan proses pembelajaran di Fakultasprogram studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Tracer study dilakukan dnegan menggunakan penelitian survey deng semua lulusan pada tahun 2012-2015 sebanyak 70 alumni. Pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pertama, kegiatan mahasiswa setelah lulus 87% adalah bekerja. Kedua, pekerjaan yang dilakukan oleh para alumni yang paling berpengaruh adalah 78.6% alumni bekerja sesuai dengan bidangnya. Ketiga, penghasilan yang diperoleh alumni dengan rentang <4.000.000 - 5.000.000 sebanyak 54.3%. Keempat, lama waktu tunggu dalam pekerjaan pertama yaitu 2 bulan. Kelima, kepuasan pengguna terhadap kinerja tinggi dengan kategori Baik dan Sangat Baik.

Tulisan ini bertujuan mendskripsikan dan mengkaji penerapan mimesis pada novel mencari perempuan yang hilang didalam realita masyarakat saat ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dalam menganalisis karya sastra, teori mimetik dilakukan dengan empat langkah kerja, yaitu: mengidentifikasi aspek sosial yang ada dalam karya sastra, menganalisis aspek sosial dalam karya sastra, membuktikan aspek sosial dalam karya sastra dari dengan menggunakan teks sastra, dan menemukan hubungan aspek sosial dalam karya sastra dengan aspek sosial yang ada dalam kehidupan nyata. Adapun elemen yang memiliki kesamaan dengan dunia nyata dalam novel mencari perempuan yang hilang yaitu meninggalkan bayi di mesjid, runtuhnya bangunan hunian penduduk, penjualan makanan kadaluarsa, pemerkosaan & pembunuhan

Abstract: This study examines how the relationship between gender language and ideology is constructed in media texts, and aims to interrogate a small number of articles taken from the most widely read online editions of national newspapers in Indonesia regarding online media reporting on the harassment of women in the "Ikan Asin" case. The focuses of this research are 1) how the women are displayed in the text. 2) How media displays texts, discursive practices that include the production and consumption of texts, and social practices. 3) What are the differences between the Mills and Fairlough critical discourse analysis models? The results of the study are that women are displayed positively even though the case they experience is negative. Text production is closely related to the ideology of journalists and the media as well as the audiences who consume the text. Both Mills and Fairclough's critical discourse analysis models have similarities and differences in analyzing texts. Key Words: Critical Discourse Analysis, Mills, Fairclough, Ikan Asin.

Abstract: This study examines how the women in this case Minister Susi are presented in the news text about the sinking of ships in Indonesian waters. Research was conducted on the 5 most popular online news sites in Indonesia. The analysis used is the critical discourse analysis of Sara's perspective, by analyzing 3 elements, namely the position of the subject-object, the position of the reader, and the position of the media. The results of this study indicate that, the position of the subject is the writer of the news and the object is Susi, because women in online news texts define their position and they can also present themselves and reinforced the author by displaying the ideas of the object. The position of the reader is the insertion of cultural codes, the reader will approve the ideas of the author on the orientation of values so that readers will place himself in the main character in the text. Media position on online news sites that provide positive images, namely detik.com, kompas.com and okezone.com. While those who reported neutrally were tribunnews.com and republika.co.id.

This study aims to determine student learning outcomes by using a project-based learning model. One learning model that can improve student learning outcomes with teaching performance can use project-based learning. The research method uses pre-experimental with a one-shot case study design. The determination of the sample used a purposive sampling method with 29 students in the English for mathematics class at the Borneo University of Tarakan. The data collection used the post-test instrument which was then analyzed using the one-sample t-test. The results of the analysis show 7,489 > 4,060, with a sig. 0.001 < 0.05, it can be concluded that there are significant differences in student English for mathematics achievement using project-based learning (PBL). The results showed that there was an effect of the project-based learning model on student achievement in English for mathematics classes at Borneo Tarakan University.

Collaboration skills play an important role in the success of prospective teacher students. Collaboration skills provide an opportunity for prospective teacher students to develop themselves. This study aims to improve students' collaboration skills in the learning media development course. This study uses a classroom action research (CAR) approach. The data collection technique is observation. The results of the study indicate that project-based learning makes a major contribution to improving students' collaboration skills. In cycle 1, the average student collaboration skills were 67.50 in the collaborative category. While in cycle 2, the average student collaboration skills were 81.25 in the very collaborative category. Project-based learning provides a good response for students to improve collaboration skills. In addition, project-based learning is able to facilitate creative thinking.

The objectives of this research are to describe the implementation of interactive learning media using macromedia flash and to describe the teachers’ and students’ responds of this interactive learning media using macromedia flash for primary education in Tarakan. The instrument of this research was the researcher herself. The approach used in this study is essentially qualitative with complementary quantitative data. The qualitative research used to see the procedure of the real fact implementing of interactive learning media using macromedia flash for primary education in Tarakan. The supportive quantitative analysis was employ to measure the highest score of teachers’ and students’ responses in the questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using non-parametric statistics. Meanwhile, qualitative analysis is used to describe the data in words or in making interpretations on the findings based on interview by the teacher and classroom observation checklist. The result showed that media was appropriate to make students’ interest in learning English, the media and topics were also related to syllabus such as numbers, alphabet, colors, things, and parts of body. Based on teachers’ responses of questionnaire, there are 5 (100%) teachers respectively confirmed option A that they assumed that media is very important and can help them in teaching and learning process especially in English subject. Meanwhile, based on students’ responses of questionnaire showed that the highest percentage was 21 (72,44%) students respectively confirmed option A that media can be helped in understanding English language.

English is an international or global language that individuals from different regions or countries use to help them understand and interact with one another. Indonesian is the national language of Indonesia. One of the language skills that students need to be proficient is speaking, as speaking is the most crucial aspect of the objectives for learning Indonesian. The first goal of this study is to determine students' difficulties in speaking English, and the second is to look for possible remedies. In this research, a case study methodology was carried out. Students of class XII at one of public senior high schools in Tarakan served as the research subjects. Of the 36 students, only 28 per cent (10) were deemed to speak. This study revealed that students' challenges when speaking English are primarily related to a deficiency of vocabulary, challenging grammar, and challenging pronunciation.

This study aims to design a supplemental reading e-worksheet based on SDGs (sustainable development goals) with adequate materials and an attractive design for the tenth-grade students at SMAN 3 Tarakan. This research and development research used the ADDIE Model, which consisted of five stages: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. The subjects of the research were 35 students of Class X-E in SMAN 3 Tarakan. This research included two expert validators: the media expert and material expert validators. The results indicated that validation by the material expert was 86% included the excellent category and the material expert were 100% with the very good type for the supplemental reading e-worksheet based on SDGs (sustainable development goals). The evaluation test results were divided into two: the small evaluation test was 81% (good category), and the field evaluation test was 83% (suitable type). The research and development results of the Supplementary Reading E-Worksheet based on SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) for Tenth Grade students at SMAN 3 Tarakan are feasible for use in English learning.Â
