Abstract

Anakan sapi merupakan bibit awal yang akan dijadikan sapi produktif. Untuk mendapatkan sapi produktif dengan kualitas tinggi harus didukung oleh performa anakan sapi yang unggul. Namun Akhir-akhir ini produktivitas sapi mengalami penurunan yang disebabkan karena banyaknya sapi yang mengalami abortus dan mati diusia dini (2-3 bulan). Hal ini disebabkan karena ketidakseimbangan gizi yang terdapat pada susu dan calf starter (pakan pemula) bagi anak sapi. Oleh karena itu peningkatan pengetahuan peternak dalam mengoptimalisasi pemanfaatan sumberdaya  lokal dalam meningkatkan performa dan daya hidup anakan sapi perlu ditingkatkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu metode pendekatan secara langsung, praktik, dan ceramah. Metode pendekatan dilakukan dengan mendata permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh kelompok ternak Barona mengenai performa anak sapi. Metode ceramah dilakukan dengan memberikan informasi kepada kelompok ternak tentang keunggulan dan manfaat fortifikasi pakan cair pada susu dan calf starter. Metode praktik dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan pembuatan pakan cair dan calf starter. Adapun hasil yang dicapai dalam kegiatan ini yaitu meningkatkan tingkat pemahaman masyarakat tentang implementasi pakan cair dan calf starter yaitu sebesar 95%. Dari data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pakan cair dan calf starter memberikan dampak yang positif bagi masyarakat sehingga diharapkan pelaksanaan progran mampu mengatasi masalah-masalah yang muncul pada anakan sapi sehingga mampu menekan level mortalitas.

Abstract

Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases continue to show an increase in Indonesia. To prevent the spread of coronavirus, especially in Alue Sentang Village, it is necessary to break the chain of virus spread. One way is by spraying desinfectants. Due to the large use of desinfectants in the community, it is necessary to empower the community, especially in training and assistance in making disinfectant fluids with WHO standards. Compounds used as desinfectants include distilled white vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, chlorine, etc. The method used in this activity was the direct approach method, practice, and lectures. The approach method was carried out by listing the problems faced by partners regarding Covid-19. The lecture method was carried out by providing information to partners about the advantages and benefits of using WHO standard disinfectants in inhibiting the activity of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses). The practical method was carried out by providing training and assistance in making WHO standard disinfectant fluids

Abstract

This community service activity aims to train the community, especially youth groups in the village of Paya Bujok Seuleumak in the cultivation of Daphnia sp. for natural betta fish feed by utilizing chicken manure waste as an alternative potential employment. The training activity was carried out for 3 times and was attended by 20 participants. The participants of the activity were creative youths in the village of Paya Bujok Seuleumak, Langsa City, Aceh. The method used in this activity is the direct approach method, practice, and lectures. The results achieved in this activity are the cultivation of natural feed (Daphnia sp.) using chicken manure which can increase economic value. From the results of post-activity monitoring and evaluation, it is known that all participants can apply and re-apply independently and can produce their own Daphnia sp., so as to get optimal results.

Abstract

Today many farms have to be closed due to a large amount of air pollution (odor) and house fly attacks (Musca domestica), which fly in residential areas. There have been many attempts by the breeder to overcome the house fly attack, one of which is by giving insecticides. However, the use of pesticides that are not following the principle of integrated pest control. The purpose of this activity is to provide training the manufacture of home fly control products with isolation techniques (z)-9-tricosene as an effort to improve the economy of the society's economy in  meurandeh village. The method used in this activity is the method of approach directly, lectures, and practices. The way of procedure is carried out by listing the problems faced by society, especially a group of cattle Suka jadi and a group of cattle Mekar Jaya about the pest problem house flies and the marketing of products resulting from training activities. The lecture method carries out by providing information to the public about the advantages and benefits of trapping products and house fly traps as controlling population fluctuations of the pest house flies. The practical method carries out by providing extraction technique training (Z)-9-tricosene, which acts as a pheromone compound attracting male house flies.

Abstract

The main problem found in Alue Ie Puteh Village is the large number of vacant land used as waste disposal sites; this is due to the lack of integrated waste management sites. This activity was carried out at the Village Hall by inviting elements of the surrounding community. The socialization and discussion of the Farming Integrated System For Zero Waste program cover the program as a whole; in this case it involves the process from the beginning to being sustainable. We the implementing team of the Biology Study Program, initiated a community service program as a program community empowerment through empowerment in utilizing organic and plastic waste to be applied to activities that include the manufacture of probiotics, the production of hydroponic devices, maggot cultivation and the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizers. Furthermore, these products used to support aquaponic cultivation assistance activities where hydroponic cultivation systems integrated with tilapia fish farming systems.

Abstract

Mangrove crabs are important animals in mangrove ecosystems. This study aims to determine the diversity of mangrove crab species in Bagan Deli Village, Medan Belawan. Three species of mangrove crabs were found: Scylla olivacea (48 individuals), Scylla paramamosain (12 individuals), and Scylla tranquebarica (1 individual). The results showed low diversity index (0-0.69), low to high evenness index (0-0.62), and moderate to high dominance (0.58-1). This research is expected to be a learning material about mangrove crab species and sustainable mangrove forest utilization.

Abstract

Radicalism and violence in the educational environment are critical issues due to their impact on student development. Schools as formal educational institutions play a strategic role in instilling tolerance, nationalism, and moderation. This article analyzes the school’s role in instilling anti-radicalism values using SMA Negeri 72 Jakarta as a case illustration, especially in the context of a recent incident at the school. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review. Data were obtained from academic journals, books, educational policy documents, and news reports related to the school incident. The results indicate that anti-radicalism values can be instilled through integration in learning, extracurricular activities, and inclusive school culture. The incident at SMA Negeri 72 underscores the importance of efforts to shield students from exposure to violence and extremist influences.

Abstract

Lokop is one of the villages in East Aceh which has a watershed in the Leuser Ecosystem. Human activities have the potential to disrupt the Trophic Status of Lokop River, such as the use of pesticides for agriculture, household waste and the use of potassium for fishing. It is necessary to research the quality of the waters in the Lokop River. The plankton community present in river waters can be an indicator of environmental pollution by analyzing the saprobic index. This study aims to determine the index of plankton diversity and water quality in the Leuser Ecosystem of the Lokop River through the saprobic index. The research was conducted at three stations. A sampling of plankton was taken in the form of a 10 cc filtrate and five replications were carried out for each study site. Water quality measurements include pH, TDS, Temperature, transparancy, depth, and current. 11 potential species can be used as pollution indicators in the Lokop River, namely Cladophora sp, Diatoma elongatum, Fragilaria capucina, Oedogonium sp., Gonatozygon sp, Lyngbya agardh, Melosira sp., Merismopedia punctata, Microspora sp, Pinnularia sp, Synedra ulna. The plankton diversity index is in the medium category. Based on the Saprobic Index, the level of pollution at the research site was not to lightly loaded of organic pollution and lowly loaded of organic pollution.Keywords:IsoprobikPlanktonBioindicatorLokop
