Abstract

Kelompok perajin Ecoprint Darussalam merupakan komunitas ibu-ibu di Kabupaten Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, yang memproduksi kain ecoprint. Selama ini, proses pembuatan kain masih dilakukan secara manual, yang meliputi tahapan pembersihan kain, penataan daun pada kain, penggulungan kain, perebusan kain, dan pengeringan. Salah satu tahapan yang memerlukan perhatian khusus adalah proses penggulungan kain, yang saat ini dilakukan secara manual menggunakan tangan dengan durasi sekitar 6 menit. Metode manual ini menyebabkan tingkat kekencangan kain tidak merata dan membutuhkan tenaga dari setidaknya dua orang. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan alat bantu untuk mempercepat proses penggulungan kain. Selain itu, produktivitas kelompok perajin ecoprint juga dipengaruhi oleh kapasitas perebusan kain. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, kapasitas perebusan kain berhasil ditingkatkan dari semula 60 liter menjadi 200 liter per proses. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah terciptanya mesin steamer berkapasitas 200 liter yang mampu meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dari semula 12 lembar menjadi 60 lembar kain. Dengan demikian, alat ini mampu mempercepat proses produksi kain dan mengurangi waktu pengerjaan secara signifikan.

Abstract

Waste banks are the activities that teach the community to sort waste and raise public awareness about wise waste management, which in turn will reduce the amount of waste transported to landfills. (Tempat Pembuangan Akhir). One of the actively operating waste banks in Bantul is the Bank Sampah Becik Resik. The Bank Sampah Becik Resik not only processes waste but is also often used as an educational place for waste management for those who want to learn how to process waste. However, in daily operations, the Becik Resik waste bank does not yet have Occupational Health and Safety facilities and infrastructure. (K3). Considering the situation and the issues, to address the limitations of K3 facilities and infrastructure, community service was conducted to improve K3 facilities and infrastructure as well as training on K3 and the use of fire extinguishers (APAR). The enhancement of K3 facilities and infrastructure is expected to raise awareness about the importance of K3 management. The facilities and infrastructure also aim to strengthen the role of the waste bank as an agent of change in environmental preservation efforts. The method of community service began with surveys and interviews with the managers regarding the K3 facilities and infrastructure needed, followed by floor painting according to K3 regulations, the provision of Fire Extinguishers (APAR), and K3 posters. The results of the Community Service (PkM) activities show that the Becik Resik Waste Bank room is now equipped with Occupational Safety and Health (K3) signs installed on the floor, Fire Extinguishers (APAR), and posters educating about K3 and waste management. In addition to the improvement of facilities, the team also provided K3 training and the use of fire extinguishers (APAR) to the partners. Through this training, the partners gained a deeper understanding of the importance of workplace safety and the emergency steps that need to be taken in case of a fire. With the enhancement of K3 facilities and the training provided, the partners' awareness in waste management and maintaining safety in the workplace has increased.

Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is very important to be implemented in the household environment, especially in the kitchen. Mothers in Pucung and Nglaos, Kemadang, Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul, Special Region of Yogyakarta carry out cooking activities for daily needs and process products from seaweed. These activities have potential hazards, such as fire, burns, exposure to sharp objects, etc. Therefore, these mothers need to receive training on OHS to maintain their health and safety at work in the kitchen. To fulfill this, a team of lecturers and students from AKPRIND Indonesia University conducted community service activities on OHS. This activity was carried out through three stages, namely: (1) delivery of material on occupational health and safety OHS, (2) questions and answers about the material, and (3) cooking demonstrations in accordance with OHS rules. This activity received very high enthusiasm and was attended by 40 participants and was able to increase their knowledge of occupational health and safety OHS in the kitchen. Things that need to be done to maintain OHS in the kitchen are providing a light fire extinguisher (APAR), burn ointment, face field, apron, lighting, ventilation, sink, mop, red medicine, trash can, and emergency lights.

Abstract

Worldpopulationreview.com menyebutkan Indonesia sebagai negara dengan Indeks Sampah Salah Kelola (MWI:Mismanagement Waste Index) sangat tinggi dan termasuk satu dari 5 negara yang berkontribusi terhadap 80 % sampah plastik di lautan. Kajian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi pengaruh air lindi TPST Piyungan terhadap keberadaan mikroplastik pada aliran sungai Opak. Sampling dilakukan pada 3 titik sungai Banyakan (penghubungkan kolam air lindi TPST Piyungan dengan sungai Opak), satu titik ke arah hulu dari pertemuan sungai Banyakan dan 1 titik ke arah hilir dari pertemuan sungai tersebut. Partikel mikroplastik dipisahkan dari kontaminan senyawa organik dengan larutan H2O2 30 % dan disentrifugasi. Endapan diamati bentuknya dan dihitung jumlahnya dengan mikroskop. Gugus fungsi plastik ditentukan dengan spektrofotometer FT-IR. Dari hasil analisis ditemukan mikroplastik 403 partikel/mL pada sampel dekat kolam air lindi dan 170 partikel /mL pada pertemuan sungai Banyakan dengan sungai Opak dan berjarak 1,52 km dari TPST Piyungan. Pada arah hulu sungai Opak yang tidak terpapar air lindi jumlah mikroplastiknya 121 partikel /mL, sedang sampel daerah hilir yang berjarak 729,76 m mengandung mikroplastik 222 partikel /mL. Mikroplastik yang ditemukan berbentuk fragment, fiber, film, foam, dan pellet dengan jumlah paling banyak berupa fragment dan jumlah paling sedikit foam. Hasil uji gugus fungsi menunjukkan mikroplastik yang ditemukan berjenis poli vinil amino atau nylon. Berdasarkan nilai signifikansi dari uji statistik One-Way ANOVA, diketahui bahwa air lindi mempengaruhi kelimpahan mikroplastik pada sungai Opak. Selain itu, terdapat keidentikan jenis dan bentuk mikroplastik pada sungai Opak dengan air lindi dari TPS Piyungan.

Abstract

In the industrial world, carbon steel has been widely used. Corrosion of carbon steel cannot be avoided, so many studies have been carried out to overcome Corrosion. One of the efforts to overcome Corrosion is by coating. Low-carbon steel coating was done by combining TiO2 and polyaniline (PAni), which was carried out by electrodeposition. A carbon steel specimen that has been coated is corroded by immersing it in an acid and salt medium. After Corrosion, the specimen is tested for hardness. The specimen without inhibitor has a hardness value of 131 kg/mm2, while the specimen with the highest hardness value is a specimen coated with PAni 10-1 M and TiO2 10-4 M at 336 kg/mm2. Based on visual observation, the Corrosion that occurs is uniform.

Abstract

Trans Jogja is the public bus Special Region of Yogyakarta Local Government has developed. The number of bus users declined during the COVID-19 pandemic because of mobility restrictions and online activities like schools and offices. This study aims to identify what quality attributes Trans Jogja should have to leverage its customer satisfaction and the customer number using the services. This study used the Kano model. The respondent number of respondents is 100 people. Eighty percent of the respondents have used the Trans Jogja more than twice. There are thirteen attractive quality attributes. For example, the bus provides free Wi-Fi internet access and an excellent passenger seat. There are four one-dimensional quality attributes Trans Jogja should consider. For instance, the bus has become convenient mass transportation. The only must-be quality attribute is that Trans Jogja guarantees safety. It is expected that the higher customer satisfaction, the higher the number of customers using the bus services..
