Abstract

Kalkulator saintifik biasanya banyak digunakan oleh mahasiswa terlebih di jurusan matematika dan pendidikan matematika dan ilmu-ilmu alam lainnya. Dengan begitu, tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu untuk melihat perubahan harapan mahasiswa psikologi dengan menyediakan pelatihan yang penting dengan menggunakan kalkulator saintifik melalui tutorial video yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan hitungan reliabilitas dalam mata kuliah psikometri. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan menggunakan pendekatan kuasi eksperimental (kelompok tunggal dengan pretes dan postes). Partisipan yang terlibat sejumlah 51 orang pada program psikologi yang bersedia untuk berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini. Analisis menggunakan paired sample t-test dengan hasil t = -3.954 dan signifikansi di bawah 5%. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat perubahan harapan pada mahasiswa yang meningkat. Aktivitas pengabdian ini bisa meningkatkan belajar siswa terutama dalam hal harapan dan ketertarikannya dalam mempelajari pengetahuan yang baru.   Scientific calculators are generally used more by science students, especially those majoring in Mathematics and Other Sciences. Therefore, this community service activity aims to see changes in hope for students majoring in Psychology by providing essential training on using scientific calculators through video tutorials to complete reliability calculations in Psychometrics courses. A community service method is an educative approach accompanied by a quasi-experimental approach (single group pre-test and post-test). The participants of this activity were 51 students majoring in Psychology who were willing to participate in this initial pioneering activity voluntarily. The analysis using the paired sample t-test yielded a value of t = -3.954 and a significance of 0.00 <0.05, which indicated a change in students' hope to increase. The activities can impact student learning of hope and interest in the newly learned knowledge.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Pandemi covid-19 memberikan dampak pada kesehatan mental hampir seluruh kalangan di dunia. Tidak hanya terpaku dari kalangan klinis saja, akan tetapi terjadi pula dampaknya pada kalangan mahasiswa di era adaptasi kebiasaan baru. Fokus penelitian ini adalah menguji peran dukungan sosial dari keluarga sebagai variabel moderator atas pengaruh intrusi terhadap stress kehidupan pada kalangan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kausalitas dan menggunakan teknik sampling insidental untuk mendapatkan partisipan penelitian. Total partisipan yang terlibat menjadi partisipan penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 455 mahasiswa dari berbagai Universitas di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan moderation regression analysis menunjukkan dukungan sosial dari keluarga yang berperan sebagai moderator yang menurunkan pengaruh intrusi terhadap stress kehidupan pada kalangan mahasiswa di era adaptasi kebiasaan baru.  Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya faktor protektif berupa dukungan sosial dari orangtua bagi kesehatan mental mahasiswa di era adaptasi kebiasaan baru. Kata Kunci: dukungan sosial dari keluarga, intrusi, stres, moderation regression analysis, mahasiswa. ABSTRACT: The covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the mental health of almost all people in the world. Not only stuck in clinical circles but also impact students in the era of adaptation to new habits. This study aimed to examine the role of family support as a moderator variable for the effect of intrusion on life stress among college students. This study uses a causality approach and incidental sampling techniques to get research participants. The total number of participants involved in this study was 455 students from various universities in Indonesia. The moderation regression analysis results show that family support is a moderator variable that reduces intrusion's effect on life stress among students in the era of adaptation to new habits. This study emphasizes the importance of protective factors like family support for students' mental health in adapting to new habits. Keywords: family support, intrusion, stress, moderation regression analysis, college student.

Abstract

Coloured Progressive Matrices (CPM) is a psychological test well known among Indonesian psychologists to measure intelligence. Some researchers who use CPM in their research reveal that CPM has weaknesses in the principle of measurement equivalence. Therefore, the focus of this research is to evaluate the details of the psychometric properties of CPM by using the Rasch model. This research used a secondary data analysis approach, where the primary data sets from a psychological service were collected into a single file for further analysis. Data of 371 boys and 377 girls with an age range of five to seven years old who took an intelligence test to assess their school readiness were collected. The Rasch model analysis showed that CPM showed unidimensionality and local independence, had a fairly good reliability value, and eight items were unsuitable for testing intelligence. Only twenty-eight items of CPM were suitable for measuring children’s intelligence in Indonesia

Abstract

Research on academic integrity among final-year students preparing mini-theses is still limited in Indonesia, particularly in Islamic universities. Therefore, this research aimed to assess the influence of spirituality and supervisor support on academic integrity of final-year students at an Islamic university in Bandung. A correlational quantitative method was adopted focusing on the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Using a census method, data was collected from a total of 205 final-year students. The results showed that multiple regression analysis exhibited an F-value of 86.525 with a p-value < 0.05, implying the collective influence of spirituality and supervisor support on academic integrity by 46.1%. These observations showed that spirituality had a greater impact on academic integrity than supervisor support among participants. A detailed explanation of this research was provided in the subsequent sections.

Abstract

Era industri 4.0 mengubah berbagai sistem kehidupan manusia menjadi lebih holistik, terintegrasi dan terkoneksi satu sama lainnya. Dengan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat mengharuskan individu pada berbagai level pendidikan untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuannya, tak terkecuali pada santri. Tujuan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan mengenai pentingnya orientasi masa depan dan kesadaran diri untuk menentukan karir di masa depan khususnya pada santri. Metode PkM menggunakan pendekatan edukatif berupa pelatihan yang berisikan gabungan penyampaian materi dengan berbagai kegiatan lainnya untuk menentukan karir santri di masa depan. Hasil kegiatan PkM menunjukan bahwa pelatihan yang diberikan merupakan langkah awal bagi santri untuk mengidentifikasi minat dan bakat, serta karir yang cocok dengan santri, dimana santri dalam kegiatan PkM ini menunjukan antusiasme dan tingkat keaktifan yang sangat baik. Kesimpulan pelatihan ini adalah pelatihan yang diberikan dapat dijadikan program kegiatan baru untuk Pondok Pesantren, bila pada pengukuran selanjutnya dapat menunjukan tingkat efektifitas yang meningkat orientasi masa depan dan kesadaran diri pada santri.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to explore the factors that influence the occurrence of boredom of learning among Santri in a boarding school in Garut. Then, the researcher continuously tested the relationship of the factors that were assumed to be related variables including character strength, Islamic religiosity and ethnic identity which were considered to be contributive variables that determined the occurrence of boredom learning in Santri. The mixed method research was carried out using thematic content analysis to obtain comprehensive information about boredom learning that occurred in Santri through an open questionnaire. Meanwhile, the partial correlation technique is used to identify how strong the relationship between predetermined factors is. The results of the study of 60 respondents who were selected by purposive technique sampling showed that the factors that caused the students to feel bored included the limited accessibility of leaving the pesantren, not being able to gather with their families, some programs that did not work and the learning process was monotonous. Meanwhile, the factors that cause students to survive are due to the dominant strength of character for studying religious knowledge, the emergence of the notion that pesantren is a good place to develop themselves and the amount of social support from peers. Meanwhile, there is a relationship between the strength of the character being tested, namely creativity, curiosity and persistence with Islamic religiousness (r = .3, p = 1%). Other results indicate that culture becomes a partial variable that has a direct effect on Islamic religiousness and character strengths.Keywords: ethnic identity; boredom learning; character strengths; Islamic religiousness; SantriAbstrak: Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk melakukan eksplorasi terhadap faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap terjadinya kejenuhan belajar pada santri di salah satu pondok pesantren di Garut. Kemudian, peneliti menguji secara berkelanjutan hubungan dari faktor-faktor yang diasumsikan menjadi variabel terkait meliputi kekuatan karakter, religiusitas Islam dan identitas suku yang dianggap menjadi variabel kontributif yang menentukan terjadinya kejenuhan belajar pada santri tersebut. Metode penelitian campuran dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis konten tematik untuk mendapatkan informasi komprehensif tentang situasi kejenuhan belajar yang terjadi pada santri melalui kuesioner terbuka. Sementara itu, teknik korelasi parsial digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi seberapa kuat keterkaitan dari faktor-faktor yang sudah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian dari 60 responden yang dipilih dengan purposive technique sampling menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang menyebabkan santri merasa bosan diantaranya yakni terbatasnya aksesibilitas keluar pesantren, tidak bisa berkumpul dengan keluarga, program ada yang tidak jalan dan proses pembelajaran yang monoton. Sedangkan faktor yang menyebabkan santri bisa bertahan karena adanya kekuatan karakter yang dominan untuk mempelajari ilmu agama, munculnya anggapan bahwa pesantren adalah tempat yang baik dalam mengembangkan diri serta banyaknya dukungan sosial dari teman sebaya. Sementara itu, terdapat hubungan dari kekuatan karakter yang diujikan yaitu kreativitas, keingintahuan dan ketekunan dengan religiusitas Islam (r = .3, p = 1 %). Hasil lainnya menunjukkan bahwa budaya menjadi variabel parsial yang mempunyai efek secara langsung terhadap religiusitas Islam dan kekuatan karakter.Kata Kunci: identitas etnik; kejenuhan belajar; kekuatan karakter; religiusitas Islam, Santri

Abstract

Research studies using the short version of the MSDV still need to be widely carried out by psychology researchers. To prove the validity of the MSDV in its use in Indonesia, this study aims to conduct a more in-depth investigation of the quality of psychometric properties, especially in the five items of the sexual violence subscale on the MSDV instrument. The research method used is a survey research design. The participants in this study were 171 female students with the criteria of having experienced dating violence, studying at universities, and being domiciled in Jakarta, which were obtained by convenience sampling. This study found that the five items of the sexual violence subscale on the MSDV had the appropriate factor structure, had good reliability values, met the convergence-discriminant validity requirements with the DASS-21 and PMH-Scale instruments, and detectable one item is not invariance. This study implies that the four of five items of the sexual violence subscale are appropriate to use as an instrument for screening dating violence in Indonesia.

Abstract

The problem of internet addiction is very important to be explored further with scientific studies. Considering more frequency the use of internet in the pandemic covid-19 era, especially for college students. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between internet addiction, life satisfaction, and depression in college students. Homogenous sampling was used to obtain the same criterion for 467 participants. The research design used is correlational research to determine the effect of one variable on other variables. Demographic analysis shows that students use the internet more in their daily lives to play games and access social media, compare to accessing study material and browsing information. Inferential analysis with regression found that there was no effect of internet addiction on life satisfaction and depression in college students. The finding of this study support previous studies, where online games and access to social media are the student’s favorite choices when accessing the internet, and this study which states that there is no correlation between the three variables are tested.

Abstract

Fenomena influencer di era sekarang dapat menjadi pemicu munculnya perilaku konsumtif bagi para pengikutnya. Para pengikut akan tertarik untuk memiliki barang dan gaya hidup yang sama dengan sang influencer. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari kontrol diri dan persepsi tentang gaya hidup influencer terhadap perilaku konsumtif dewasa awal pengguna social media. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Sebanyak 171 dengan karakteristik berusia 18-25 tahun, pengguna aktif social media dan penggemar boygroup NCT didapatkan dengan convinience sampling. Hasil penelitian dengan analisis regresi berganda menghasilkan nilai F = 178.462 dan signifikan p < 0.005 menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh kontrol diri dan persepsi tentang gaya hidup influencer terhadap perilaku konsumtif dengan nilai koefisien determinasi 0.669 atau sebesar 66.9%. Secara terpisah, persepsi tentang gaya hidup influencer berpengaruh secara positif terhadap perilaku konsumtif, sedangkan kontrol diri berpengaruh secara negatif terhadap perilaku konsumtif. Agar terhindar dari perilaku konsumtif dapat dilakukan dengan cara meminimalisir penggunaan social media dan lebih mengontrol diri ketika hendak melakukan pembelian.

Abstract

In 2018, the discourse on creating a psychological test to apply for a driver's license in Indonesia was sounded, but creating the right instrument for a psychological test is not easy. In 2022 scientifically, there is one instrument for the psychological assessment process, but from a psychometric perspective, it still has many weaknesses. Therefore, this research aims to develop a psychological test that meets the elements of good validity and reliability. This study uses the factor analysis method of scale development design. The participants in this study were 323 participants from various cities in Indonesia who voluntarily participated in a series of activities obtained by purposive sampling technique. By testing the content validity with Aiken and construct validity with confirmatory factor analysis, the study found that 24 of the 30 items developed on the Driving Behavior Scale were valid and very reliable. This research implies that the Driving Behavior Scale is suitable as a psychological test for making a driver's license.
