Abstract

In 2017 BTS released a campaign with UNICEF "love myself" which aims to influence fans to love themselves, spread positivity around and make the world safe for the younger generation. The research entitled Dampak Pesan Campaign Love Myself terhadap Kesehatan Mental Remaja was conducted to see how much impact the love myself campaign message has on adolescent mental health in ARMY aged 20-23 years. An explanatory survey was used in this quantitative research project. Uses and Effect Theory is the theory put to use. 100 persons made up the study's population. Distribution of surveys using the Likert scale, simple linear regression, and hypothesis testing using the coefficient of determination (R2) were used to gather the data. According to the findings, neither the message variable from the "love yourself" campaign nor its impact on variable Y (adolescent mental health) had any beneficial effects. Only 0.00009% of the message variable's effect was found in this analysis, with the remaining influence coming from other factors that were not included. Abstract

Instagram is one of the most popular forms of social media used for information, communication, and entertainment, with a wide reach and a continuously growing user base. The Instagram food vlogger account @gina_angelia has gained popularity among individuals due to its unique culinary content. This research aims to determine the influence of @gina_angelia's Instagram content on culinary interests among her followers. The study adopts a quantitative approach using the AIDDA theory, with data collected through a questionnaire from 100 respondents. The results of this research indicate that @gina_angelia's Instagram content significantly influences the culinary interests of her followers, with a coefficient of determination value of 72.1%. The remaining 27.9% is influenced by other variables outside the model. The results, processed using SPSS 26, reveal that the sub-variable X, namely Attention to @gina_angelia's Instagram content, significantly affects the culinary interest of her followers. Interest in @gina_angelia's Instagram content also significantly impacts on her followers' culinary interests. Likewise, Desire in @gina_angelia's Instagram content significantly influences her followers' culinary interests. The Decision factor shows that @gina_angelia's Instagram content has a significant influence on her followers' culinary interests. Meanwhile, the Action factor indicates that @gina_angelia's Instagram content significantly influences her followers' culinary interests. Keywords: Instagram, Culinary Interests, Food Vlogger

Abstract

Families with children who have special needs encounter intricate difficulties in providing care and assistance to their children. The psychological well-being of mothers who provide care for children with special needs is a significant area of concern, given the pivotal role they play in the child's care and overall growth. The objective of this study is to comprehend the psychological fortitude of moms who breastfeed infants with special needs in Indonesia. In this study, a qualitative research methodology is employed, utilizing in-depth interview approaches to gather data from mothers who have children with special needs. The empirical evidence indicates that the resilience levels of these mothers exhibit considerable variation. Resilience is influenced by various elements, such as social support, awareness of the child's illness, and the capacity to cope with stress. These mothers exhibit resilience and the capacity to recover from daily demands and hardships. They depend on familial support, religious faith, companionship, and community, and cultivate efficient mechanisms for managing challenges. Despite experiencing significant levels of stress, these mothers demonstrate unwavering dedication to ensuring optimal care for their children.

Abstract

LinkedIn is a worldwide professional social network that allows users to connect with professional users around the world. LinkedIn is not just a job search platform, but also a place where individuals present themselves professionally. Students can develop their professional digital footprint through the LinkedIn platform. This research uses a constructivist paradigm with a qualitative method through a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of this study are in the form of 3 findings, namely the communication strategies of the five informants who formed Hubert K. Rampersad's personal branding values, the career advancement of the five informants, and the communication barriers experienced by the five informants. This research is expected to build students' awareness of the potential to build LinkedIn professional personal branding as a bridge to career advancement.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the approach process carried out by Gay Homosexuals in Karawang in their efforts to establish same-sex relationships in private through a Gay online dating application called Hornet, which is expected by users to foster interpersonal communication to establish relationships like normal relationships in general. . The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative research approach assisted by observation and interviews in data collection and documentation as supporting data in this research. The results of this research show that informants prove the effectiveness of the Hornet application in the success of the Gay relationships they build by going through several phases of the illustration of the theory of social penetration in interpersonal communication. However, it does not rule out the possibility that gay couples who are successful in establishing a relationship will encounter obstacles caused by internal and external factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontradiksi antara lirik dan representasi visual dalam video musik Super Lady yang dibawakan oleh girlband (G)I-DLE. Meskipun lirik lagu tersebut mengangkat tema pemberdayaan perempuan dan kemandirian, visual dalam video musik tampaknya menampilkan simbol-simbol yang bertentangan dengan pesan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce untuk mengidentifikasi tanda-tanda dalam video musik dan membandingkannya dengan makna yang terkandung dalam lirik. Data dikumpulkan melalui analisis lirik dan tayangan video musik yang kemudian dianalisis dengan mengkaji elemen-elemen seperti representamen, objek, dan interpretan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya ketidaksesuaian antara lirik yang berfokus pada kekuatan mental feminin yang lebih abstrak dengan visual yang memperlihatkan dominasi sensual. Kontradiksi muncul ketika visual menggambarkan sensualitas dan dominasi fisik, sedangkan lirik berbicara tentang kekuatan batin dan identitas yang bebas dari penilaian berdasarkan penampilan.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the marketing communication strategies applied by Calceamenta in increasing the number of consumers on Instagram. The implementation of the strategies by Calceamenta is driven by the growing shoe-cleaning service business, as there is a rising need for shoe cleaning among the public who lack the time to do it themselves. The subjects of this study are the owners and employees of Calceamenta who have the authority to decide on the marketing communication strategies used by Calceamenta on Instagram, as well as supporting informants such as consumers and Instagram followers of Calceamenta. The data were obtained through a qualitative approach, using observation and interviews with the informants.The results of this study indicate that Calceamenta has implemented marketing communication strategies by utilizing Instagram social media to increase its service users. Calceamenta employs a marketing mix including Advertising, Sales Promotion, Public Relations, and Personal Selling. The results of this study show that Calceamenta uses new media such as Instagram as its marketing communication medium, driven by the owner’s perception that many people are already actively using Instagram. Calceamenta makes various efforts to capture the attention of the audience, who are their target potential consumers. The interest of potential consumers is built through Instagram content such as education, promotions, and testimonials from customers who have previously used Calceamenta’s services. The desire is emphasized by showcasing that potential consumers need Calceamenta’s services. The action refers to the decision of potential consumers to use Calceamenta’s services.

Abstract

The sandwich generation is a group of individuals who are caught between two responsibilities, namely taking care of the upper generation (parents) and the lower generation (younger siblings). This phenomenon is increasingly relevant among generation Z who are entering their productive age by facing financial and emotional challenges in managing family responsibilities. The aim of this research is to explain how generation Z in Kuningan Regency interprets and understands their role as part of the sandwich generation. The research method uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to find information about participants' subjective experiences by conducting in-depth interviews to collect data. The results of this research show that generation Z who are the sandwich generation have different meanings such as family responsibilities, social pressure, disaster and a gift from God to repay their parents' services. This research also found that factors that influence it include the economic, cultural and social conditions of society. It is hoped that this research will provide new insight into the dynamics of the sandwich generation in Indonesia, especially among generation Z, and help identify relevant interventions to support them in carrying out this role.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the phenomenon of playing Mobile Legends among students, focusing on five informants from Yadika 2 High School students in Tegal Alur, West Jakarta. The researcher delves deeper into the motives, meanings, and experiences students undergo while playing the online game Mobile Legends. The study employs a phenomenological method, with data collection conducted through interviews, observations, and supported by literature reviews. The results of the research on the phenomenon of playing Mobile Legends among students show that there are two types of motives. The causal motives are having fun, making friends, and filling spare time, while the goal-oriented motives are self-motivation to become competitive, aiming to become professional players, and sharpening mental skills. The meanings that arise from the students include learning self-control, learning communication, improving abilities, and engaging in social interactions. The students experiences during gameplay include experiences in communication with other players and participation in competitions.

Abstract

Positive discipline education is an approach aimed at building children's discipline through positive and supportive communication without involving harsh punishment. The Instagram account @Haibunda.com utilizes social media to provide educational content on parenting, helping parents understand the importance of positive discipline in shaping children's behavior. This study aims to analyze the content of positive discipline education messages in parenting on the Instagram social media account @Haibunda.com, targeting its audience, especially young mothers. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, through content analysis of posts on the Instagram account @Haibunda.com from July to September 2024. The findings show that the account uses attractive visual illustrations, infographics, and short videos to facilitate parents’ understanding of positive discipline concepts, such as the importance of empathy, open communication, and the development of supportive relationships with children. The education delivered through this account is expected to help parents develop a more effective and empathetic parenting approach. The results of this study reinforce the New Media theory and the role of social media as a digital communication tool that impacts modern parenting practices.
