Abstract

Media sosial merupakan media komunikasi berbasis internet dimana para penggunanya dapat terus berinteraksi tanpa ada batas ruang dan waktu yang menjadi penghambat interaksi manusia pada zaman dulu. Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Penggunaan Aplikasi TikTok Terhadap Perilaku Kecanduan Mahasiswa (Studi Analisis Regresi Terhadap Penggunaan Aplikasi TikTok Terhadap Perilaku Kecanduan Mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang, Angkatan 2018-2019). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penggunan aplikasi TikTok terhadap perilaku kecanduan Mahasiswa Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang, angkatan 2018 dan 2019. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan pendekatan analisis regresi linear berganda. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori determinasi teknologi dari McLuhan yang mengasumsikan bahwa setiap teknologi yang diciptakan, maka akan menciptakan pola-pola didalam manusia. Baik pola komunikasi dan perilaku runtunan berpikir, semua pola itu dapat diubah dengan kehadirannya teknologi baru. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah peneliti menemukan bahwa intensitas, dan daya tarik berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap perilaku kecanduan mahasiswa, sedangkan isi konten pada penggunaan Aplikasi TikTok tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku kecanduan mahasiswa.

Abstract

The study entitled "The Effect of Instagram Ads Exposure @scarlett_whitening on Interest in Buying Scarlett Whitening Products" aims to determine and measure Instagram ad exposure @scarlett_whitening to the intention to buy Scarlett Whitening products. This study uses the uses and gratification theory, using quantitative methods with an explanatory approach. The population of this research is followers of the Instagram account @scarlett_whitening. The data collection method used is a questionnaire. Based on the normality test, simple linear regression test, hypothesis test (t), and test the coefficient of determination that exposure to Instagram ads @scarlett_whitening has a significant effect on the intention to buy Scarlett Whitening products.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the meaning of a song as a tool for criticism, focusing on "Gugatan Rakyat Semesta," which encourages critique of the government. Using a descriptive qualitative method and Norman Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis, the study employs three dimensions of analysis: textual, discursive, and sociocultural. Textually, the song's linguistic elements such as sentence structure, cohesion, coherence, and key terms are analyzed to explore how language functions not only as communication but also as a tool to challenge power and ideology. The discursive dimension investigates the song’s production process by Feast and its reception by the public, particularly during the nationwide student protests in Indonesia in 2022. The sociocultural analysis looks at the broader social conditions surrounding the song, including political events and policies that negatively impacted society. The findings reveal: (1) Textually, the song calls for societal uprising against a corrupt and damaging government; (2) Discursively, the song’s production and release were closely tied to the 2022 protests, with public reception reflecting this context; (3) Socioculturally, the song reflects a broader dissatisfaction with harmful governmental policies. This study contributes to the understanding of how music, particularly protest songs, can serve as a powerful instrument of social and political critique.Keywords Criticism, Government, Song, Critical Discourse Analysis, Norman Fairclough

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the communication experience behind self-disclosure by Tell users through an anonymous application. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to describe the research problem. The results of the study showed that the communication experiences experienced by the informants included making new friends, being anonymous, making them comfortable, being free to tell stories, being a place for self-disclosure and venting all emotions and helping to find solutions. Then also have positive and negative experiences. The meaning of anonymous self-disclosure in Tell for informants is as a safe place to express self-problems and a comfortable, non-boring anonymous place that can only be conveyed in Tell, relieve feelings and emotions, and get solutions and assistance. The motives that prompted the informants to open themselves anonymously at Tell were divided into motives because of curiosity, relief of feelings and as a place for discussion and a place to hide influenced by their past experiences, but there were in order motives that were oriented towards the goal of opening up anonymous self that they want to achieve. Abstract

Megawati Soekarnoputri is the 5th former president of Indonesia and currently serves as chairman of the PDIP party. As an influential politician in Indonesia, all his actions and words can influence public opinion. At the online webinar entitled "Prevent Stunting for Golden Generation", Megawati alluded to the condition of the people who are facing the problem of scarcity of cooking oil. He responded to this problem by assuming that the community's reaction was excessive regarding the problem of scarcity of cooking oil. As a result of her response, Megawati received various criticisms from the public through various media. This research will focus on Megawati's response with the aim of knowing linguistic elements, the process of text production and consumption, as well as the socio-cultural conditions of society. This qualitative research uses the critical discourse analysis model of Norman Fairclough which divides the analysis into three dimensions, namely text analysis, discourse practice analysis and sociocultural analysis. The research results show that there are several cohesions and coherences that shape discourse and diction which indicate the communicator's view of the audience, the process of text production and consumption goes according to the topic being discussed but there are statements that make some groups feel unacceptable and the way of delivery is not wearing it, and social and cultural background that influences the formation of discourse and the response it receives because the discourse has something to do with sociocultural situations. Abstract

This study reviews the phenomenon of hyperreality which has now become part of people's lifestyles, especially social media users, namely the phenomenon of makan cantik. This study uses a qualitative method to view and describe the process of makan cantik on social media among female students of the 2019 Communication Science Study Program, Singaperbangsa Karawang University as a hyperreality phenomenon. This study aims to determine whether there is a value discrepancy between what is uploaded on social media, and what actually is. Makan cantik is a simulation activity to show a certain image through social media which is considered to represent an upper-class lifestyle. Makan cantik often try to display only the best sides of food uploaded on social media which can not only increase the attractiveness of food and public interest in the food, but also show a classy lifestyle side. Where in the makan cantik activities that are uploaded on social media, there are conditions that turn out to be different from the reality. Where they will create video or photo content that shows the side of pleasure to the quality of the food that is uploaded. Therefore, currently social media no longer always displays reality so that the phenomenon of hyperreality is created. Keywords: hyperreality, beautiful eating, social media

Abstract

Abstrak — Kesehatan mental di Indonesia masih dianggap tabu, karena stigma masyarakat yang menganggap gangguan jiwa tidak rasional. Untuk mengUbahStigma yang beredar di masyarakat tentang cepatnya pengetahuan lebih banyak tentang kesehatan jiwa. New Media berkembang menjadi salah satu hal yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Seiring dengan perkembangan penggunaan media sosial yang semakin berkembang menjadi media edukasi bagi penggunanya. Pemanfaatan media sosial untuk edukasi digunakan oleh salah satu akun perawatan kesehatan mental di Instagram yaitu UbahStigma. Melalui media sosial Instagram melalui konten yang diposting, UbahStigma ingin masyarakat sadar akan pentingnya kesehatan mental. Untuk mencapai tujuan komunikasi maka perlu adanya strategi komunikasi agar tercipta komunikasi yang efektif dan tercapainya tujuan komunikasi yang diinginkan oleh UbahStima. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi komunikasi akun Instagram UbahStigma dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang kesehatan jiwa dan faktor apa saja yang mendukung dan menghambat dalam menjalankan tujuan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dan teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara mendalam dengan Head of Communication and Marketing Manager UbahStigma. Berdasarkan hasil yang peneliti peroleh, UbahStigma dalam strategi komunikasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang kesehatan mental adalah dengan mengetahui audiens, menyusun pesan, metode setting, dan memilih media yang digunakan. Adapun faktor pendukung dalam menjalankan tujuan komunikasi UbahStigma adalah dukungan dari sesama komunitas, followers akun Instagram UbahStigma, praktisi kesehatan jiwa, psikolog, dan influencer. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah interpretasi yang salah terhadap pesan yang diberikan oleh UbahStigma dalam memahami topik yang dibahas dan pembuatan isi topik pesan yang dibutuhkan kritis dan detail. Kata Kunci —  Instagram, Komunikasi, Strategi, Kesehatan Mental   Abstract —  Mental health in Indonesia is still considered taboo, because of the stigma that society considers mental disorders is not rational. To mengUbahStigma circulating in the community of the quickness of more knowledge about mental health. New Media evolved into one of the things that are beneficial for the community.  As social media use is increasingly developing into a media education for its users. The use of social media to educate used by one account care mental health in Instagram that UbahStigma. Through social media Instagram through the content posted, UbahStigma wants the community can be aware of the importance of mental health. To achieve the purpose of communication of the need for communication strategies in order to create effective communication and achieve the purpose of communication desired by the UbahStima. This study aims to determine how the communication strategy of the account Instagram UbahStigma in raising public awareness about mental health and what factors supporting and inhibiting in the running of these goals. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods and data collection techniques in this study is an in-depth interview with the Head of Communication and Marketing Manager UbahStigma. Based on the results obtained by the researchers, UbahStigma in the communication strategy to raise public awareness about mental health is by knowing the audience, compose a message, setting method, and select the use media. As for the supporting factors when running the purposes of communication UbahStigma is the support of our fellow community, the followers of the account Instagram UbahStigma, mental health practitioners, psychologists, and influencers. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor is the wrong interpretation of the messages given by UbahStigma in understanding the topics discussed and the making of the contents of the message topic required critical and detail. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana hubungan komunikasi interpersonal terhadap keterbukaan diri dapat memberikan kontribusi akademis yang berarti bagi pemahaman tentang bagaimana hubungan interpersonal berkembang dan dipelihara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif desktiptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan utama yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa aktif universitas singaperbangsa karawang tahun 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tidak semua mahasiswa FISIP tahun 2024 universitas singaperbangsa karawang menerapkan lima komponen dari teori komunikasi interpersonal DeVito yaitu keterbukaan (openness), empati (empathy), dukungan (supportiveness), rasa positif (positiveness) dan kesetaraan (aquality). Keterbukaan diri mahasiswa dalam komunikasi interpersonal dilingkup pertemanan sangat dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman individu, mulai dari pengalaman baik hingga pengalaman negatif. Dengan demikian lingkungan komunikasi yang suportif, empatik dan tidak menghakimi sangat penting untuk mendorong Keterbukaan diri mahasiswa serta memperkuat hubungan, tidak semua mahasiswa langsung merasa nyaman untuk terbuka, beberapa dari informan memerlukan waktu untuk membangun rasa aman, terutama ketika berinteraksi dengan teman baru. Hal tersebut menunjukan jika membangun komunikasi yang berkualitas membutuhkan proses, empati serta komitmen dari kedua belah pihak untuk menciptakan hubungan yang sehat dan suportif.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the influence of the brand ambassador "Raffi Ahmad" and brand image on the intention to buy the Erigo brand either partially or simultaneously with a descriptive and quantitative approach. The number of samples is 106 respondents using purposive sampling technique. Furthermore, the data was analyzed by path analysis (path analysis). The results showed that the correlation between brand ambassador and brand image had a correlation value of 0.767 with a significance of 0.000. meaning that the brand ambassador "Raffi Ahmad" with brand image has a strong correlation. Partially, buying interest has a sig value (0.000) <(0.05) and tcount (5.621)> ttable (1.659) so it is Hodirejected. This means that the brand ambassador "Raffi Ahmad" partially has a significant effect on buying interest. Brand image on purchase intention has a sig value (0.000) <(0.05) and tcount (5.130) > ttable (1.659) so Ho is rejected. This means that brand image partially has a significant effect on purchase intention. Simultaneously the brand ambassador "Raffi Ahmad" and brand image on buying interest have a value of sig (0.000) <(0.05) and Fcount (124.032)>Ftable (3.08) then Ho is rejected. Thus it can be concluded that the brand ambassador "Raffi Ahmad" and brand image simultaneously influence purchase intention.

Abstract

Di tengah pembangunan IKN yang masif dengan mengorbankan ribuan hektar lahan  dan hutan, Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono memberikan pernyataan kontroversial. Pernyataan tersebut yakni "Hidup di IKN menambah panjang usia minimal 10 tahun", wacana tersebut langsung diunggah beritanya oleh Antaranews.com. Peneliti tertarik untuk mengkaji wacana tersebut dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan berparadigma kritis untuk mengungkap mana yang terkandung didalamnya. Adapaun teori yang digunakan adalah analisis wacana kritis model Norman Fairclough tiga dimensi yakni analisis tekstual, praktik wacana dan analisis sosiokultural.Analisis tekstual pada wacana Menteri Basuki menekankan terkait keinginannya kepada masyarakat untuk tinggal di IKN dan langsung merasakan manfaat kesehatannya. Analisis praktik wacana, teks berita tersebut diproduksi sesuai dengan fakta apa adanya, disebarkan melalui situs berita Antaranews.com dan tidak terlihat adanya reaksi dari audiens karena ANTARA tidak menyediakan fitur kolom komentar. Analisis sosikulturalnya dapat dilihat pada situasi politik yang masih memanas pasca pilpres 2024, Antaranews.com sebagai institusi media memiliki pengaruh yang cukup besar dalam pemberitaan wacana tersebut serta latar belakang sosial-budaya dari Menteri Basuki itu juga berpengaruh dalam pengungkapan wacananya.
