Abstract

This article analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial performance of waqf institutions in Indonesia in relation to legal foundations, supervision, nadzir governance, risk management and shari'ah compliance. This research was conducted in waqf institutions with a population and samples were obtained from 102 waqf institutions, each of which had 3 (three) nazirs who filled out the questionnaire for this study. The data were analyzed using descriptive and verification analysis as well as partial least square structural equation modeling. In general, the results of this study indicate that the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial performance of waqf institutions in Indonesia is influenced by legal foundations, supervision, nadzir governance, risk management and shari'ah compliance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine family communication to prevent COVID-19. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods by collecting interview data. This study shows that family communication used by parents and children is very useful in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in Kerrawang Regency. The process of delivering messages related to the dangers of COVID-19 by parents can change children's understanding and behaviour so that preventive actions occur. This research contributes in the form of recommendations to every family so that they can comply with health protocols and always socialise with family members and the community to get used to healthy living by opening airflow in every room in the house, regulating interactions by using masks and keeping a distance in activities at home and outside the house.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the Jolly Phonics method to improve the students' initial reading ability at MI Raudhatus Shalihin. This research is an experimental research with a pretest-posttest one group sample design. The Jolly Phonics method is the independent variable and reading the beginning is the dependent variable. The next test is using Pre-Experimental Design Type One Group Pretest Posttest in a single group. The average posttest score was 67.69, while the average pretest score was 54.62. The results of hypothesis testing using the paired samples t test technique are known to have t count > t table or 3,930 > 2,179, so it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes between pre test and post test. Or in other words, using the Jolly Phonics method affects the initial reading results for first graders at MI Raudhatus Shalihin.

Abstract

Blended learning model is one creative effort that can be done. In the Islamic Education Study Program, the use blended learning models has been carried out in several courses. Blended learning can be done with various online learning media, one of which is Edmodo. The Purpose of this research was aimed at finding out the students' responses of Media learning based on blended learning through edmodo at Nurul Jadid University. This was a quantitative descriptive study. The sample of the study was taken through total sampling method with a total of 50 students from the Islamic Education in academic year 2021/2022. A questionnaire was used to collect the data and it was analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicated that 83,21% of the students agreed with the application of Media learning based on blended learning through edmodo, and the remaining 16,79% did not agree with Media learning based on blended learning through edmodo.

Abstract

This Exploration began eith a learning problem in the economic education course, a problem that’s known so far is that the learning process is pupil-centred, but the learning conditioning carried out are limited to group donations followed by conversation and debates with no follow-up. Closes with the lecture’s evidence, where learning becomes monotonous. For this reason, there’s a need for invention in learning to ameliorate this situation by using a design project-based learning cycle model compared to conventional models. This research uses quantitative methods with a pure experimental approach (true experimental design). A total of 115 students as a population were taken using simple random sampling techniques. So, the exploration sample for the experimental class (R002) was 58 scholars and the control class (R001) was 57 scholars. Pretest-Posttest Group Design as a data analysis tool in this exploration. The exploration that has been conducted shows the results: 1) There’s a description of the differences in scholars’ critical thinking capacities prior to and after using the design project based learning cycle model in educational economics courses; 2) There’s a description of scholars' critical thinking capasities prior to and after using conventional learning models in educational economics courses; 3) oroginal critical thinking capacities show that scholars’ critical thinking capacities prior to using the project based learning cycle model and conventional learning models in educational economics courses are significantly different; and 4) Final critical thinking capacities which show scholars’ critical thinking abilities after using the project based learning cycle model and conventional learning models in educational economics courses are significantly different.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of epub-based learning modules on the learning outcomes of students in macroeconomics courses of the teacher training of Jambi University and faculty of education, economic education. This type of study is parallel convergent mixing. The sample of this study is 105 students of the Faculty of Teacher Education and Education, University of Jambi. Questionnaires and multiple-choice questions were used as working tools. The results showed that the use of epub-based modules affected the academic performance of the 2020/2021 students of Jambi University Teacher Training and Faculty of Education in macroeconomic subjects.

Abstract

The purpose  of this study was to determine the description of digital skills owned by teachers and compare them based on school type. This research uses mixed method with The Explanatory Sequential Design type. This research uses purposive sampling technique. The sample of this research is a teacher at one of the schools selected based on the type of school, namely SMA, SMK and MAN. Kruskal-Wallish test and Mann Whittney test were used to determine the differences in digital skills owned by teachers. The results showed that the digital skills possessed by teachers based on the type of school, it is known that there are differences in digital skills possessed. The digital skills possessed by teachers are included in the high and very high categories and when compared in each school it is known that there is no difference between the digital skills of SMK and SMA, SMK and MAN teachers. Then in the qualitative analysis in the digital skill indicator section, the teacher has done very well in an effort to carry out his job as a teacher, but the aspects of Digital Content Creation and safety need to be improved. The real implication of this research is the ability for teachers to apply digital skills such as knowledge and attitudes in a confident, critical and responsible manner within the specified context as required

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis efektivitas hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA yang menggunakan model Learning Cycle dengan konvensional. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang cocok untuk menguji pengaruh perlakuan variabel bebas terhadap variabel mediasi. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 62 siswa yang terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas VIA (32 siswa) sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelasVIB 30 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah independent sample test dan rata-rata kemampuan berfikir siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Learning Cycle dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA, dibandingkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional (ceramah). Karena pada saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung lebih terpusat pada peran siswa dan tidak didominasi oleh peran guru, berbeda dengan model pembelajaran konvensional (ceramah) dimana guru yang berperan aktif pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung.

Abstract

Kebutuhan terhadap penguasaan bahasa Inggris sebagai salah satu bahasa internasioanal sangat penting. Tujuan utama pelatihan ini adalah upaya pemberdayaan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) melalui program penguatan literasi bahasa Inggris. Pelaksanaan pelatihan literasi bahasa inggris ini sangat penting diberikan bagi masyarakat lokal khususnya para pemuda yang sudah mulai melek serta sadar akan pentingnya literasi bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan ini juga merupakan suatu refleksi terdukungnya visi dan misi pemerintah dalam mengembangkan SDM khususnya bagi masyarakat khususnya yang sudah tidak asing lagi dengan penggunaan dan keberadaan bahasa Inggris sebagai salah satu bahasa internasional. Pelatihan literasi bahasa Inggris mencakup palatihan pada kemampuan dasar untuk dapat memperoleh, memproses, dan memahami dasar informasi pada kegiatan membaca, berbicara dan menulis dalam bahasa Inggris. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini merupakan salah satu jawaban dari berbagai anggapan bahwa belajar bahasa Inggris itu mahal biayanya sehingga tidak sedikit masyarakat khususnya masyarakat pedalaman tidak dapat mempelajari bahasa Inggris secara maksimal. Faktanya pelatihan literasi bahasa Inggris masih sangat minim dilakukan disebabkan oleh biaya yang mahal yang menyebabkan kemampuan dan kesadaran akan pentingnya literasi bahasa Inggris masih rendah. Pada pelaksanaan pelatihan ini, para pelatih memfasilitasi berbagai media pendukung seperti proyektor, laptop, handbook, notebook, vocabulary card serta pelaksanaannya juga dilaksanakan pada tempat terbuka outdoor dan sekali-sekali indoor agar tercipta suasana pelatihan yang nyaman, menyenangkan serta efektif. Kegiatan ini dilakukan bagi kelompok Pemuda di Kampung Inggris Medan agar memiliki keahlian berbahasa Inggris dalam pembedaharaan kata, struktur bahasa, menyimak, berbicara, menulis, membaca. Selama ini kondisi para kelompok pemuda di Kampung Inggris Medan diharapkan dapat menciptakan masyarakat yang nantinya siap bersaing secara global dengan keahlian berbahasa Inggris yang telah diperoleh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fenomena mahasiswa ambis pada International Virtual Library. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode wawancara semi-terstruktur. Penelitian ini melibatkan 4 responden. Responden tersebut berusia diantara 18-23 tahun dan pengguna International Virtual Library dan berasal dari berbagai negara. Yang secara aktif berpartisipasi menggunakan platform Bindr.uk. Penelitian diawali dengan observasi dimana pada tahap observasi ini peneliti berusaha untuk memahami perilaku pengguna International Virtual Library. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mencari kemungkinan permasalahan dan menentukan subjek yang tepat untuk dijadikan subjek wawancara. Hasil wawancara menunjukan bahwa responden memiliki motivasi belajar yang tinggi ketika berada di Bindr.uk karena adanya dukungan sosial dari teman – teman di platform Bindr.uk. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara mahasiswa ambis dengan motivasi belajar pada International Virtual Library. Hal inilah yang memungkinkan Bindr.uk membantu mahasiswa fokus belajar dimasa pandemi Kata Kunci: Mahasiswa Ambis, Motivasi Belajar, International Virtual Library
