Abstract

Data entry processing partners are contract workers compensated according to their agreements and are in high demand across various sectors, including banking, healthcare, and the Central Statistics Agency of South Aceh Regency. This study investigates how wages, education, and work experience impact the productivity of these data entry partners at the agency. The findings reveal that while wages have a positive but insignificant effect on productivity, education significantly influences it; higher educational attainment correlates with improved contributions due to enhanced technical and analytical skills. Conversely, work experience showed a negligible negative impact, potentially linked to factors like burnout or outdated skills. When considering all three variables together, they collectively affect productivity significantly, with education being the most influential factor. The regression analysis indicates that wages, education, and work experience account for 44.9% of the variation in productivity, suggesting that other external factors also play a role. This research is context-specific to the BPS Office of South Aceh Regency and is limited by its focus on a few variables and a cross-sectional design, which may restrict the generalizability of the results.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of monetary factors on fisherman exchange rates in Aceh Province. The financial review includes the household consumption index for fishing fishermen, diesel fuel, and the human development index. This study used time series data for 2012-2020, and data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the household consumption index of fishing fishermen has a negative but insignificant effect on the exchange rate of fishing fishermen in Aceh Province. The cause is the habit of capturing fishermen to consume beyond their means (especially consuming non-food goods such as luxury goods), which impacts high inflation rates. Meanwhile, the price of diesel fuel has a positive but insignificant effect on the exchange rate of fishermen in Aceh Province. The reason is due to the limited use of subsidized diesel fuel provided by the government so that when the price of diesel rises or falls, fishermen will still buy up to the limit provided by the government, and the price of diesel fuel is an indispensable need. Furthermore, the human development index negatively and significantly influences the exchange rate of captured fishermen in Aceh Province. Based on the human development index in the education sector, fishermen in Aceh Province still need higher education, so they cannot manage their lifestyle and finances properly even though their income is high.

Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing labor productivity in the bread industry in West Aceh Regency, with a case study at Eva Kalori Bakery. Specifically, it analyzes the impact of wages and work experience as independent variables on productivity as the dependent variable. The study employs a qualitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis and primary data obtained through surveys with structured questionnaires distributed to employees. The aim is to identify whether wages and work experience, individually or simultaneously, have a significant effect on productivity. The results show that work experience has a positive and significant impact on labor productivity. Employees with longer work experience demonstrate higher productivity, highlighting the importance of knowledge and skills gained through experience. In contrast, wages do not significantly affect productivity, indicating that other factors, such as non-monetary incentives or workplace conditions, may play a more crucial role in motivating employees. When analyzed simultaneously, wages and work experience collectively have a significant effect on productivity, as evidenced by the F-test results

Abstract

The agriculture, forestry, and agricultural infrastructure sector plays a crucial role in maintaining Indonesia’s food security, yet it continues to face various challenges, especially in terms of limited access to financing. Sharia Rural Banks (BPRS) are among the financial institutions that have the capacity to provide funding to this sector, although the distribution of such financing is affected by both internal and external factors. This study aims to analyze the influence of Non-Performing Financing (NPF), Third Party Funds (DPK), and the Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) on BPRS financing in the agriculture, forestry, and agricultural infrastructure sectors in Indonesia. Using monthly time series data from January 2013 to September 2024, the study applies the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach to explore both short-run and long-run relationships. The findings indicate that NPF has a negative and statistically significant effect in both the short and long term. DPK, while showing an insignificant effect in the short term negative in the previous period and positive in the current exhibits a significant and positive influence over the long term. Meanwhile, NTP exerts a positive but statistically insignificant impact across both time horizons. These results provide important insights into the variables affecting BPRS financing and offer useful input for policy development aimed at strengthening the targeted sectors through Islamic financial approaches.

Abstract

The progress of a country is inseparable from the stability of its human resources. A greater effort is needed in various fields, especially in education. This service aims to provide an understanding of campus selection for further studies that align with Indonesia's potential as an agrarian and maritime country. The activity is conducted every March each year for high school students on the southwestern coast of Aceh province, and currently for the 9th-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Samatiga. The method used includes lectures, question and answer sessions, and watching videos divided into three stages: introduction, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. The results of the community service show that students have an interest in continuing to higher education but are hindered by costs. Therefore, Teuku Umar University can be a solution due to its relatively close distance and affordable fees, with the hope that they will succeed in the future

Abstract

This study aims to examine determinants such as economic growth and district/city minimum wages on labor absorption in the MSME sector in West Aceh Regency. The selection of MSMEs is based on their important contribution to regional and national economic development, especially through job creation and income equality. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis methods using secondary data from 2000-2024. Empirical results show that economic growth and minimum wages statistically have a positive and significant effect on labor absorption, both partially and simultaneously. The regression model meets all the criteria of classical assumptions and produces an adjusted R² value of 0.749, indicating that around 74.9% of the variability in labor absorption can be attributed to the two independent variables. These results underscore the need for a regional-based economic strategy that emphasizes sustainable growth and well-calibrated wage policies to encourage a healthy entrepreneurial environment and long-term labor market development in the MSME sector.

Abstract

This study examines the presence of the flypaper effect on regional government spending in Sorong Regency over the period 20132023. Using multiple linear regression, the analysis includes three independent variables: Regional Original Revenue (ROR), General Allocation Fund (GAF), and Special Allocation Fund (SAF). The results show that ROR has a positive and statistically significant impact on regional expenditure (coefficient 0.453308), meaning that increased local revenue directly leads to higher government spending. In contrast, GAF has a positive but statistically insignificant effect (coefficient 1.598782), indicating that higher central government transfers through GAF do not necessarily increase local government spending. Likewise, SAF shows a positive yet insignificant influence (coefficient 0.073499). Despite GAF and SAF not being individually significant, their combined effect with ROR on regional spending is statistically significant. The findings suggest evidence of a flypaper effect related to GAF, where central transfers have a greater impact on spending than local revenue, even though GAF individual effect is not significant. However, this effect is not observed with SAF. These findings emphasize the importance of enhancing local fiscal capacity to lessen dependence on central funding and encourage sustainable financial independence. The study recommends further research to explore additional factors influencing regional government expenditure.
