Abstract

ABSTRACT Banana is a versatile plant that is utilized from the roots to the skin, which is usually processed into banana chips in the home industry. However, the increase in banana chip production has caused an increase in banana peel waste that is disposed of without optimal utilization. This causes negative environmental impacts such as bad odors. Therefore, innovation and awareness are needed to manage banana peel waste sustainably in order to reduce negative impacts on the environment and create value-added products that encourage the development of Green entrepreneurship. This study aims to utilize banana peel waste as a raw material in the production of organic bar soap. The method applied is by using a workshop (training). Training in making organic soap from kepok banana peel waste is designed to strengthen the spirit of sustainable entrepreneurship among students of KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah University. The results of this study provide a significant contribution to improving Green entrepreneurship practices through sustainable innovation in utilizing kepok banana peel waste into organic bar soap. By adopting the concept of making organic bar soap, researchers can not only reduce the negative impact of banana peel waste on the environment, but also create quality products. Organic bar soap has the potential to meet consumer demand who are increasingly concerned with natural and sustainable products. A. Wahab Hasbullah. Abstract

Augmented Reality is actually not something foreign to the general public, it's just that they don't know what Augmented Reality itself means, Augmented Reality cards can generally be found in some snacks, which the cards can be scanned through a special application available on the Playstore. However, currently researchers are making Augmented Reality for learning, in this case researchers are using bee metamorphosis, so learning becomes more interesting. This study aims to describe the feasibility of Augmented Reality media for bee metamorphosis and to determine student responses to the attractiveness of Augmented Reality media for bee metamorphosis. The development model used is the ADDIE model which includes: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Products are validated by one media expert and one material expert. The attractiveness test was carried out on 5 students of MTs Al-Ihsan Kalijaring Jombang. Data obtained from media experts, namely 80% with proper qualifications, criteria from material experts, namely 88% with very decent qualifications, while from the data students get a score of 88.75% with qualifications strongly attractiveness. The results of the assessment of media experts, material experts and student responses show that the bee metamorphosis Augmented Reality can be used as a learning media.

Abstract

The topic of classification of living organisms at the high school level still necessitates practical activities to foster students' kinesthetic skills, in addition to their critical and creative thinking abilities. Utilizing herbarium as a learning medium offers a solution to this challenge. The herbarium-making training aims to enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge through hands-on practical engagement. This approach is expected to provide students with diverse learning experiences throughout the educational process. Furthermore, students can also hone their creative thinking skills by participating in this herbarium-making training. This research employed a multi-stage methodology, including preparation, interviews, training, and evaluation. The findings of this study were derived from student response questionnaires regarding their learning experience with the herbarium-making training. The results showed that 100% of students found learning through herbarium creation to be highly enjoyable, and 87% of students indicated that this herbarium-making activity enhanced their hard skills and creative abilities

Abstract

The integration of digital learning technologies has become increasingly important for fostering interactive and student-centered learning environments. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Kahoot as an interactive learning medium in improving students’ motivation, learning activities, and mathematics learning outcomes. The research employed a mixed-methods sequential explanatory design involving 32 seventh-grade students and two mathematics teachers. Quantitative data were collected through pre–post tests, motivation questionnaires, and classroom observation sheets, while qualitative data were obtained through semi-structured interviews and documentation. The results showed significant improvements in students’ learning outcomes, with the mean score increasing from 52.33 to 78.67 and mastery achievement rising from 33.3% to 90%. Learning motivation increased from a mean score of 61.2 to 82.5, while classroom participation improved from 30% to 100%. These findings indicate that Kahoot effectively enhances cognitive, motivational, and behavioral aspects of learning. The study contributes to the literature by integrating cognitive and engagement dimensions within a mixed-methods framework and recommends integrating gamified digital platforms into mathematics instruction.

Abstract

Differences in environmental conditions between wetland and dryland areas are presumed to affect the morphological characteristics of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) in Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra, in both vegetative and generative growth, while in-depth studies on the morphology of fruits, stems, and leaves across these two land types remain limited. This study aimed to describe the morphological differences of oil palm grown on wetland and dryland sites and to develop the findings into a contextual educational leaflet as a learning medium. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through field observations in Airwall Village and Markisa Village, Lubuk Batang Subdistrict, OKU, with purposive sampling of productive and healthy oil palm plants. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed descriptively. The results show that oil palm grown on wetland areas has larger fruits with bright orange coloration, taller and more slender stems, and dense dark green leaves as a consequence of relatively optimal water and nutrient availability; conversely, oil palm on dryland exhibits smaller and duller fruits, shorter stems, and yellowish-green leaves that reflect drought stress and nutrient deficiency. These morphological findings were then packaged in the form of a contextual educational leaflet that visually compares plant characteristics in the two land types as an engaging, practical, and environmentally based biology learning medium. The study concludes that environmental conditions have a marked influence on oil palm morphology and that the findings have the potential to be utilized as innovative teaching materials in contextual biology learning in schools.
