Abstract

The digitization of cultural heritage, particularly lontar manuscripts, is a focus of research to aid stakeholders in the management of lontar metadata. Managing the metadata of Balinese Lontar manuscripts through the application of ontology is one method for ensuring the preservation and accessibility of Balinese Lontar manuscripts. This research aims to apply ontology technology to the preservation of the cultural heritage of Balinese lontar manuscripts so that all information about lontar details can be categorized according to their respective properties and relevant information can be presented based on the user's preferences. This research method employs the stages of the Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) when devising the ontology for the Balinese lontar manuscript. The results demonstrated that the construction of metadata using an ontology-based methodology can provide the information required to describe, categorize, and connect ontology entities. Metadata consists of entity descriptions, hierarchies and classifications, relationships and properties, as well as the necessary semantics for constructing effective ontologies

Abstract

Various efforts have been made by the government to tackle the spread of Covid-19 in Denpasar City. Starting from creating a data collection system for Covid-19 patients and a map of the distribution of Covid-19 patients based on villages, which are updated every day and open for access to the general public. In the observations made by researchers, the Denpasar City Government needs to add efforts to organize the distribution of Covid-19 cases, by knowing the characteristics of Covid-19 patients and grouping villages based on similar characteristics so that the distinctive characteristics of each urban village group can be identified in Denpasar City. The problem that will be discussed in this research is how to cluster the distribution of Covid-19 cases using the K-means algorithm. The purpose of this proposed study is to cluster Covid-19 data using the K-Means algorithm. The clustering of the distribution of Covid-19 cases in Denpasar City was successfully carried out using the K-Means algorithm and the number of clusters used was 3, with cluster 0 (Low Cluster) of 16 villages / wards, cluster 2 (Regular Cluster) of 21 villages / wards, and cluster 1 (High Cluster) of 6 villages / wards. Cluster validity was tested using the Davies Bouldin method with the resulting value of -0.522.

Abstract

Balinese lontar manuscripts represent a cultural heritage containing significant historical, religious, and scientific values. However, their centuries-old age makes them vulnerable to damage. This research proposes a semantic-based digital restoration solution to address this issue. The semantic approach comprehends the meaning and structure of the lontar text, ensuring an accurate restoration process that preserves the original meaning. The development of the semantic-based digital restoration is built using the Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM). The system is equipped with data management features that accommodate new data, ensure accurate information updates, and maintain the integrity of relationships between entities. Testing through SPARQL query approaches and black-box testing indicates that data additions, deletions, and modifications function well without conflicts or inconsistencies. Moreover, the system performs as expected and is ready for use. The implications of this research suggest that semantic-based digital restoration can be an effective solution for preserving Balinese lontar manuscripts and similar cultural heritage.

Abstract

The process that is currently running at Parta trading companies, along with its development, problems that often occur in the warehouse section arise, namely the accumulation of stock of goods, there are even some stock items that are not available in the warehouse. This happens because the demand for goods from consumers is uncertain at any time, because the warehouse staff still use manual methods, namely making guesses in controlling stock checks and resulting in orders for stock of goods to be purchased that do not match the number of consumer needs at any time. In overcoming the problems experienced by Parta trading companies, the author built an inventory forecasting information system, where this system can assist in the inventory forecasting process which can calculate the estimated number of goods to be purchased based on previous sales data. Based on Black Box Testing, this system runs as expected. From the problems and solutions described above, a website-based inventory forecasting system was created with the ability to predict a product or item in the future, where this system plays a very important role in being used for stock availability in the warehouse at Parta trading companies.  This result of forecasting test was carried out by analyzing the sales of ceramic products sold at Parta trading companies for a period of 1 year and 12 months, where in the test using the 3-month method in month 12, the MAD error value was 100.66666666667, in the 4-month method in month 12, the MAD error value was 186, in the 5-month method in month 12, the MAD error value was 166.2, the 6-month method in month 12, the MAD error value was 160.619048.

Abstract

The relocation of the national capital is a national strategic development project that seeks input from the public. This research analyzes public sentiment towards the relocation of the capital city using the Lexicon SVM method with data from X social media. The analysis was conducted in two languages, namely Indonesian and English, to find out how public opinion on the relocation of Indonesia's capital city at the global level. The sentiment classification results show that in Indonesian, public sentiment tends to be balanced with a model accuracy of 86.79%, where 51.3% is positive sentiment and 48.7% is negative. Meanwhile, in English, positive sentiment is more dominant with a model accuracy of 89.64%, where 83.3% is positive sentiment and 16.7% is negative sentiment. Evaluation using confusion matrix shows that this model provides good results, with high precision, recall, and F1-score values. Visualization using WordCloud and frequency analysis of unigrams, bigrams, and trigrams showed that positive sentiments mostly discussed the development aspects and government policies, while negative sentiments highlighted the social and economic impacts of the relocation. In addition, further analysis shows that public sentiment fluctuates based on important government announcements and major events related to the project. These findings demonstrate the importance of monitoring public opinion over time to understand shifts in perception. This research provides insights to the government and policymakers in understanding public opinion regarding the relocation of the nation's capital. By understanding sentiment patterns, more appropriate policies can be designed to increase public acceptance of the project and address public concerns effectively.

Abstract

Image segmentation is crucial in image processing and computer vision, with multilevel thresholding (ML-ISP) offering robust solutions for complex images. However, effectively applying ML-ISP to RGB color images remains a challenge due to computational complexity and the limitations of traditional optimization algorithms, such as the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO). This study proposes an Inspired Grey Wolf Optimizer (IGWO) to address these issues and enhance ML-ISP for RGB color images. The performance stability of IGWO is comprehensively evaluated using three distinct objective functions: the Otsu method, the Kapur Entropy, and the M. Masi Entropy. Qualitative and quantitative analyses using PSNR, SSIM, and UQI were conducted on benchmark images. Results consistently demonstrate that IGWO, particularly with M. Masi Entropy, achieves superior segmentation quality. This research incorporates GridSearch-based hyperparameter tuning. The findings highlight the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed IGWO approach for complex ML-ISP tasks on color images.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the sales reporting process by implementing a data warehouse and interactive data visualization, with a case study at Graha Mas. The research adopts the Kimball Nine Step Methodology to guide the development of the data warehouse, supported by the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI). Sales data sourced from Excel files undergoes batch processing to ensure data consistency and cleanliness before being stored in the warehouse. A star schema model was applied to structure the data warehouse, consisting of dimension tables for customers, products, and locations, and fact tables for sales categorized by customer, product, and city. The final data is visualized through Google Data Studio dashboards, enabling users to interactively explore sales trends by product, time period, and region. These visualizations assist business decision-makers in identifying high-performing products, monitoring regional sales distribution, and planning inventory more effectively. User acceptance testing (UAT) involving business users resulted in an acceptance score of 89%, indicating that the system meets user needs in terms of data clarity, accuracy, and usability. This research concludes that the proposed solution significantly improves the sales monitoring process at Graha Mas and can serve as a practical reference for similar businesses seeking to adopt cloud-based business intelligence solutions.
