Abstract

Golden snails has become a pest for farmers, mostly rice farmers, therefore, it is necessary to conduct research of keongmas utilization as a liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). The study was conducted at the third floo screenhouse of Agriculture faculty  University of Islam malang.  , with the altitude ±400 meters above sea level, the  temperatures between 22.7 ° C - 25.1 ° C, and the rainfall reaches an average ranging from 0-20 mm per year. The study was conducted in August - September 2019. This study used a single factor of simple randomized block design with  consints of 9 levels :  a dose without LOF, 0% LOF meat + 25% LOF shell, 0% LOF meat + 50% LOF shell , 25% LOF meat + 0% LOF Shell, 25% LOF meat+ 25% LOF Shell, 25% LOF meat + 50% LOF shell, 50% LOF meat  + 0% LOF shell, 25% LOF meat + 25% LOF shell , and 50% LOF meat + 50% LOF shell. The results of research showt that application of golden snail LOF based on meat and shell  have no significant effect on growth, yield and quality of Ipomoea aquatic. This is caused by the low quality of the LOF used in this research.

Abstract

In vegetable production, especially in mustard, farmers in Indonesia are still using manual technology to maintain. With the technological advances of this century, known for a term of 4.0 that spawned the industrial revolution IoT (Internet of Things) as a solution to facilitate the work of farmers in the cultivation of plants. One form IOT use in agriculture is the Smart irrigation system with automatic sprinklers. This study aims to determine the effect of watering conventional models, sprinkle manual and automatic sprinkler-based microcontroller, and IOT (Internet of Things) on the growth, yield and quality pakcoy mustard plant (Brassica chinensis L). The experiments were conducted using a randomized block design (RAK) is simple with the treatment as a group. The factor used is the watering models with three levels with the hype that is watering, watering sprinkler watering the manual and automatic sprinkler-based microcontroller and IoT (Internet of Things). Each treatment was replicated eight times, and each test contains four plants. parameters measured were plant height, leaf number, leaf area, root length, plant fresh weight, dry weight of plant, texture, chlorophyll and carotenoids, total dissolved solids, vitamin C and water content. This study shows that there is no real consequence effect treatment watering models on all parameters observed. This means that the use of controlled sprinkle with IoT is not much different from the conventional way. The selection of a good sprinkler able to provide water evenly distribution of the mustard plant and IoT (Internet of Things) serves as the sprinkler controller.

Abstract

Sawi is a type of vegetable that is liked by many people with a high nutritional content. Of the various types of mustard greens, pakcoy is the type that is widely cultivated. Pakcoy is a plant that contains various nutrients in the form of calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, fiber, Ca, P, Fe, as well as vitamins A, B, C and E. This study aims to test the combination of vermicompost and vermiwash on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants good and optimum. This study used a randomized block design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor consists of Factor I, which is the vermicompost dose consisting of three levels, namely V1 = 100 g/pot, V2 = 200 g/pot, V3 = 300 g/pot. The second factor is the Vermiwash concentration consisting of three levels, namely K1 = 100 ml/liter, K2 = 200 ml/liter, K3 = 300 ml/liter, plus one control treatment using inorganic fertilizers. Each treatment combination was repeated nine times and each replication used four plant samples. The results showed that the combination of vermicompost and vermiwash had a significant effect on the growth of plant height, number of leaves and leaf area. The variable results show that the 200 g vermicompost treatment and 200 ml/l vermiwash concentrations give the same good results as 300 g vermicompost and 300 ml / l vermiwash concentrations, but the 100 g vermicompost and 300 ml/l vermiwash treatments give high results. amounting to 68.50 g. That the application of vermicompost and vermiwash doses is still not able to provide nutrients like inorganic fertilizers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze which varieties have better growth and yields when given MOL with different concentrations, to determine the effect of local microorganism's concentrations and to analyze the growth and yields of two broccoli varieties. This study used an experimental of Randomized Block Design (RBD) which was arranged in a factorial manner and consisted of 2 factors. The first factor, varieties of Griffin and Valencia. The second factor was the MOL concentration of banana humps which consisted of four levels (0 ml L-1, 50 ml L-1-, 100 ml L-1 and 150 ml L-1). The results showed that the Griffin variety gave the best results during the vegetative period and the Valencia variety gave the best results during the generative period of the variable. Concentration 150 ml L-1 gave the best results in the vegetative and generative period of the plant.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction between pruning treatment and eco-enzyme concentration as well as the effect of pruning and eco-enzyme concentration on the growth and quality of junggulan (Crassocephalum crepidioides) plants. The research was carried out on agricultural land located in Merjosari Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City with an altitude of + 700 m above sea level, an average air temperature of 20º C - 28 C, humidity 79% - 86%, and an average rainfall of 550 mm. The analysis was carried out at the Integrated Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Malang. The study began in February – March 2021. This study used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) experiment consisting of 2 factors. Factor 1 is the type of pruning (P) consisting of 2 levels, namely, P0 (without pruning), P1 (pruned 14 days after planting). Factor 2 is the concentration of eco enzyme (E) which consists of 3 levels, namely, E0 (Without eco enzyme), E1 (15 ml/lt water), E2 (30 ml/lt water) from 2 factors obtained 6 combinations, each There were 3 samples of treatment and repeated 3 times so that there were 54 samples. The results showed that there was an interaction between pruning treatment and the concentration of eco-enzyme which tended to give better yields for the yield of junggul plants which were dominated by P1E1 treatment (Pruned 14 hst + 15 ml/lt eco enzyme). In general, the pruning treatment gave the best results for the chlorophyll content. Eco enzyme concentration treatment was able to give a significant effect on the total root length, vitamin C and chlorophyll content.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction between the concentration of CaCl2 and the cultivation model on the growth and yield of kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth.) plants. This research was conducted to determine the effect of increasing the concentration of CaCl2 and the cultivation model on the growth, yield, and quality of kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth.) This research was conducted on Jl. Joyo Agung, Merjosari, Kec. Lowokwaru, Malang City and Central Laboratory, the Islamic University of Malang from February 2021 to April 2021. This study used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 2 factors and was repeated 3 times. Observational data were analyzed using the 5% F test (ANOVA). If there is a significant effect, then further tests are carried out with BNJ (Honest Significant Difference) at 5% level and BNT (Least Significant Difference). Parameters observed were: plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of shoots, leaf length, leaf width, total fresh weight, economic weight, dry weight, root length, weight loss, vitamin C, total dissolved solids (TPT), water and chlorophyll content. The results showed that there was an interaction effect between the concentration of CaCl2 and the cultivation model on the number of leaves and root length. The 5% concentration of CaCl2 treatment showed high chlorophyll content and root length, pre-harvest CaCl2 administration did not affect the vegetative growth of kenikir plants. While the treatment of the cultivation model showed that the application of fertilizer was better than without fertilizer on plant growth and yield.

Abstract

Bidens pilosa L. (ketul) belongs to the wild-growing Asteraceae family. The young leaves of this plant are usually used as a mixture of fresh vegetables or useful in treating several diseases. In the absence of research on the recommended planting media and the many benefits of Bidens pilosa L., this underlies the efforts to develop this plant. This study aims to determine the interaction of media composition and watering intervals on a drought stress scale on the growth, yield and quality of Bidens pilosa L. The study was conducted at the Plastic House in February-April 2021, located at Jalan Cempaka Sari No. 20 Dusun Buwek Rt 04 Rw 04 Sitirejo Wagir Village on a piece of land in the middle of a village with an area of 5.8×3.9 meters Plastic House. And the analysis was carried out at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Malang. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RAK) experimental method. Factor 1 media composition (K) which consists of 3 levels, namely K1 = Soil + Manure (1:1); K2 = Soil + Manure + Husk Charcoal (1:1:1) and K3 = Soil + Manure + Husk Charcoal (2:1:1). Factor 2 water stress (C) which consists of 3 levels, namely C1 = Water Sprinkling Interval once a day; C2 = Watering Interval every 3 days and C3 = Watering Interval every 6 days. Each treatment was repeated 2 times with 3 samples. The results of this study showed that in general the composition of the media and the watering interval (drought stress) had a significant effect on plant growth, yield and quality, namely on the variables of leaf area, stem diameter, total plant fresh weight, economic weight and chlorophyll analysis. In general, the best treatment is K1 = Soil + Manure (1:1); K2 = Soil + Manure + Husk Charcoal (1:1:1) and C3 = Water Watering Interval every 6 days. This shows that by giving the media composition K3 = Soil + Manure + Husk Charcoal (2:1:1) does not give better results than K1 = Soil + Manure (1:1) and K2 = Soil + Manure + Charcoal Chaff (1:1:1).

Abstract

Red spinach is quite easy to cultivate so it can be planted and harvested at microgreen age. Microgreens are vegetables that are harvested 7-21 days after germination. Microgreens are functional foods because they have many health benefits. This study aims to determine the interaction between red, blue, yellow LED light colors and growing media on the growth and production of red spinach (Amaranthus gangeticus) microgreen. This research is a box experiment using a Divided Plot Experiment Design. The results showed that there was an interaction between the color of the LED and the growing media on the growth of microgreen red spinach. The combination of C1M3 (Red LED + Sand & Compost) with an average of 4.24 cm and C2M3 (Blue LED + Sand & Compost) with an average of 4.44 cm resulted in higher plant heights at 7 DAP. Different types of planting media on microgreen red spinach had a significant effect on growth where compost sand media produced the highest plant height, which was 4.55 cm at 14 DAP. Separately, the average yield tends to be higher in the red and blue LED treatments, as well as the combination of sand and compost media. Compost sand combination (M3) gives the best results supported by fresh weight parameters with an average of 9.35 g. In the C0M1 quality parameter, it shows that treatment tends to be better supported by the TPT parameter with an average value of 2.50. Based on the results of this study, it can be recommended that the cultivation of red spinach microgreens in planting boxes can be done using red and blue LEDs and a combination of compost sand planting media to pay attention to micro elements that affect microgreens for better growth.

Abstract

Shallots are one of the superior vegetable commodities that have been continuously cultivated by farmers for a long time. The community's need for shallots will continue to increase along with the increase in population. This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of goat manure fertilizer at various doses and various types of NPK fertilizer composition on the growth and production of shallots. This study used a randomized block design (RAK) which was arranged in a factorial manner with 2 factors. Factor 1 uses a dose of manure, factor 2 uses a composition of NPK fertilizer with the same dose. The results showed that giving a dose of goat manure combined with NPK fertilizer composition could increase the growth and production of shallots both in height, number of leaves and leaf area, the best treatment was P1K3 treatment (Given with NPK fertilizer (12-11-20) 300 kg/ha given goat manure 15 tons/ha) with an average tuber weight of 9.65 tons/ha. The dose of goat manure 15 tons/ha can increase the production of shallots with an average tuber weight of 9.65 tons/ha. The application of NPK petro aristocratic fertilizer composition of 300 kg/ha can increase the production of shallots in the P1K3 treatment (Given with NPK fertilizer (12-11-20) 300 kg/ha given goat manure 15 tons/ha) with an average tuber weight of 9.65 tons/ha.

Abstract

The cause of onion products in Indonesia since 2013 ago it causes the application of chemical fertilizer as long as over the time. Thus, the onion was dropped out because it has occasioned soil sickness and soil fatigue. It has been the cause of harm matter that was not equal and less the organic fertilizer. The fertilizer has been a positive impact on the plant. However, there was the other fertilizer that was used by farmers. It was an eco-enzyme. It is made from banana shell waste and other vegetables. This research has done in Green House that on October until December 2021. The location was in Jalan MT. Haryono, Dinoyo, Lowokwaru, Malang City. Which were ± 505 mdpl the temperature on 25c-30c and the rainfall was 1750mm/year.This research used the RAK method. Which were used 3 repetition factorials. There were many factors in each factor. First, the application concertation of the eco-enzyme was E0=0%, E1=1,5%, E2=3%. The second was the allotment of organic fertilizer based on leaf mass. Wich was P0= 0 ton-1 ha, P1= 5 ton-1 ha, P2= 10 ton-1 ha dan P3= 15 ton-1 ha. The parameter of this research was plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, chlorophyll content of tubers planted, big fresh plant total, dry tuber weight total dissolved solids analysis, and vitamin c content.The result of this research was first, the impact of concentration eco enzyme and dose of organic fertilizer of leaf mass. It provided the real of interaction to onion quality (allium ascolonicum L) in contains chlorophyll was on 5 HST. Which (46.28 µg/cm2) was done by concentration eco enzyme 0 ml/l and those of fertilizer 10 ton. The second, the impact of concentration eco enzyme that given the real impact of plant quality. It generated vitamin c at 49.87 mg ad 38.13 mg. The third, the best dose impact of organic fertilizer leaf mass was 5ton ha (P1) and 10ton ha (P2) which produced the consistent value of the plant height (41.12) and a total of the leaf (38.11 sheets)
