Abstract

Tujuan dari upaya riset ini yakni menyelidiki pengaruh model PBL berbasis SSI terhadap kemampuan kognitif peserta didik. Kerangka metodologis yang dimanfaatkan ialah Quasi eksperimen yang memanfaatkan Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi riset ini yakni semua siswa kelas tujuh yang terdaftar di SMPN 2 Payakumbuh. Teknik sampling dilaksanakan lewat teknik purposive sampling, menghasilkan pemilihan kelas VII.6 selaku kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII.7 selaku kelas kontrol. Data dimana dikumpulkan menjadi sasaran analisis yang melibatkan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, serta uji t. Temuan riset mengungkapkan bahwasannya penerapan model PBL berbasis Socio Scientific Issue secara signifikan mempengaruhi kemampuan kognitif peserta didik. Kesimpulan ini didukung oleh hasil pengujian hipotesis dari uji-t posstest, di mana hasil thitung > ttabel khususnya dengan thitung =  4,113 serta ttabel = 2,0395.

Abstract

STEM (Sains, Teknologi, Teknik, Matematika) adalah pendekatan interdisipliner yang memadukan sains, teknologi, teknik, dan matematika. Pendekatan ini meningkatkan kemampuan ilmiah siswa, termasuk berpikir kritis, kreativitas, dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah. Pendekatan ini juga menghubungkan pengajaran dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, khususnya dalam pendidikan sains. Pendekatan STEM dapat diintegrasikan dengan Siklus Pembelajaran 5E (Libatkan, Jelajahi, Jelaskan, Perluas, dan Evaluasi). Pendekatan ini dapat membantu meningkatkan minat siswa selama proses pembelajaran mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan hasil analisis tinjauan pustaka tentang minat belajar siswa dalam siklus pembelajaran STEM-5E di kelas sains. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Literature Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) sebagai metodenya. Penelitian ini terdiri dari empat tahap: Identifikasi, Penyaringan, Kelayakan, dan Inklusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran siklus 5E kemungkinan besar akan berdampak pada minat belajar siswa. Ketika siswa dilibatkan dalam pembelajaran dengan membangun pengetahuan mereka dari pengetahuan sebelumnya, hal itu menimbulkan rasa ingin tahu berdasarkan teori konstruktivisme dan pendekatan STEM siklus 5E yang menyediakan pembelajaran aktif dan berpusat pada siswa sehingga siswa dapat dengan bebas merancang pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa minat belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh faktor eksternal dan internal, seperti lingkungan, keluarga (terutama orang tua), motivasi belajar, emosi positif, efikasi diri, dan persepsi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Time Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan Wordwall terhadap motivasi belajar IPA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan Posttest Only Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIII.C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII.A sebagai kelas kontrol di SMP Negeri 10 Mukomuko yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket motivasi belajar yang telah valid dan reliabel. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji-t setelah uji normalitas dan homogenitas terpenuhi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor motivasi belajar kelas eksperimen (80,68) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (71,50), dengan thitung (4,95) > ttabel (2,00). Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan model TGT berbantuan Wordwall berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar IPA.

Abstract

The general background of this research is the limited teaching materials equipped with project-based learning assessment instruments as recommended in Kurikulum Merdeka. The purpose of this research is to produce a Project Based Learning (PjBL) based e-module on the structure and function of living creatures topic that is valid, practical and effective.The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with 4-D model’s consisting of the stages of defining, designing, developing and disseminating. However, this research was only untill the development stage due to time constraints. The research instruments consist of teacher questionnaires, student questionnaires, validity test questionnaires, practicality test questionnaires, and effectiveness test questionnaires. The data obtained was analyzed using a formula to analyze the results of validity, practicality and effectiveness tests. The research results show that the PjBL-based e-module developed is valid with an average 88%. The level of practicality is practical with an average 88%. The level of effectiveness is effective which is 84% ​​on average. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the PjBL-based science learning e-module on the material Structure and Function of the Body of Living Creatures meets the valid, practical and effective categories.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyse the need for the development of science e-comic as learning media on earth and solar system topic. This research was conducted in 3 junior high schools in Sutera sub-district, based on the results of observations it is known that the school applies the kurikulum merdeka, and uses lecture and discussion methods in the learning process. However, there are obstacles that must be faced by teachers, namely the current package books/printed books are quite limited, so students have enough difficulty if they want to repeat learning material at home. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the 4-D development model. This research instrument consists of a validation questionnaire, a practicality questionnaire, and an effectiveness questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using a formula to analyze the results of the validity test, practicality test, and effectiveness test. Based on the above problems, researchers found the right and appropriate media to be developed and can be used easily by students and teachers, namely problem-based science e-comic learning media on earth and solar system material.

Abstract

The background of this research was the results of the researcher's observations on 8th grade students of SMPN 14 Padang. Based on the results of observations, information was obtained that teachers had previously implemented the PjBL learning model but never had implemented the STEM approach, and teachers had never combined the learning model with the STEM approach. The purpose this research was to examine the effect of the PjBL-STEM learning model on students' cognitive skill regarding substances and their changes subject. The type of research used was Quasi Experimental, design, using a Posttest Control Group Design. This research used two classes, there were experimental and the control class. The experimental class uses the PjBL-STEM learning model, while the control class used a conventional approach learning model. Sampling in this study was carried out using a purposive sampling technique, based on almost the similliary average daily test scores. The instrument of this research were multiple choice test with 20 questions. The results of data analysis show that the cognitive skill of students in the experimental class are higher than those in the control class. The used of the PjBL-STEM learning model makes a good difference in students' cognitive abilities. The results of hypothesis testing based on posttest data obtained from the two sample classes showed that, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, so it can be interpreted that there is a difference in the average cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class and the control class. There is an effect of the application of the PjBL-STEM learning model on the students™ cognitive skill on substance material and its changes subject.

Abstract

Low student communication skills have been the cause of this research, which had an impact on learning outcomes because there had not been training on students' communication skills through the application of appropriate learning models. The learning process, which still uses conventional learning models, namely group discussions, has not made each student active and responsible for group assignments and has not trained communication skills in scientific arguments. Therefore, an appropriate learning model is needed, one of which is the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of implementing the NHT type cooperative learning model on the communication skills of SMPN 3 Tebo students. The research uses a Quasi-Experimental type of research with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research began with a pretest in the experimental class and control class, then treatment was given to the experimental class, and at the end of the learning process, a posttest was given to both classes. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. The test instrument consists of 13 description questions. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel to carry out prerequisite tests and hypothesis tests on overall communication skills and each ability indicator. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' overall communication skills between before and after treatment. Through the Mann Whitney test with Zcount -5.32 and Ztabel 1.96 with the criterion that H0 is accepted if “Ztabel ≤ Zcount ≤ Ztabel, then Zcount -5.32 < -Ztabel -1.96, then H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of implementing the Numbered Head Together type learning model on the communication skills of students at SMP Negeri 3 Tebo Regency.

Abstract

As a strategy to create learning environment by integrating culture into learning, ethnoscience fits perfectly with the aims of science lesson in the national curriculum of education in Indonesia, which is to understand how nature works, and to improve awareness toward conserving and maintaining balance in nature. Leading toward Education for Sustainability Development (ESD), science learning could serve to develop students’ ability in thinking, learning, and building awareness towards natural and physical environment. In this study, we aimed to design a web-based e-module integrated with both ethnoscience and critical thinking orientation to facilitate students’ learning dan thinking. The product is developed with 4D-model consisting of 4 stages namely: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Product’s validity and practicality was assessed using instruments with Likert—scale items and analyzed with descriptive statistics. From Define and Design stage, four themes of ethnoscience are embedded in the e-module, namely: gold panning, salt farming, the making of virgin coconut oil, and Jamu– a folk drink. From develop and disseminate stage, the web-based e-module was tested to be highly valid and practical to be used as teaching materials. The product received positive feedbacks students especially related to the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

One of the technological innovations that can be used is WEB 3D-based learning media, which combines visual elements and text in a more real way. The following research intends to develop a WEB-Based 3D Learning Media equipped with a QR Code as a support for Solar System materials for grade VII junior high school students. This media is designed to be valid, practical, and effective in improving student understanding. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model approach, which includes four main stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instruments include validation questionnaires, practicality questionnaires, and effectiveness questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using the Likert scale and the Guttman scale to assess the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed learning media. The results of the 3D media validity test obtained a very valid category with an average score of 85%. The results of the practical test on the use of 3D media from teachers and students are in the very practical category with a teacher response questionnaire score of 93% and student responses of 94%. The effectiveness of the use of 3D media on students' learning interests is very effective with a student response questionnaire score of 91%. Thus, the following research has produced a WEB-based 3D science learning media on Solar System material for grade VII junior high school that is valid, practical, effective and ready to be disseminated.

Abstract

Learning is a process of interaction between educators and students as well as learning resources in a learning environment. Interaction will work well if the teacher can explain learning correctly, is easy to understand and uses the right learning media. Teaching materials used by students during the learning process are literacy books and textbooks. There is no learning media in the form of a practicum guidebook so that it results in a directed and safe practicum activity not being carried out. Based on these problems, it is necessary to develop instructional media in the form of practicum guides as science teaching materials for class IX in junior high school. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) using a 4-D model which is only carried out until the development stage. The location of the research was at SMPN 14 Padang and FMIPA UNP. At the development stage, 3 expert validators, 3 science teachers and 30 class IX students of SMPN 14 Padang carried out the validation of the practicum guide. The results of the study show that the static electricity practicum guide is valid and practical.
