Abstract

The preschool age is a golden period in the process development. This period includes a sensitive period or sensitive period in children, for that children need to learn with high concentration, because of the consequences of the lack of concentration of children, the learning outcomes are not optimal. The purpose tihis study is find out the effectiveness of applying brain gymas management in increasing concentration in young children preschool 4-6 years. This type of research is descriptive with a case study method one subject group consists of 2 people for 3 days. Measurement using a questionnaire and then observed before and after carrying out the technique brain gym. The results obtained in this study obtained increased results in the value of concentration after doing brain exercises for 3 times the implementation of gymnastics brain. Before the brain exercise is carried out, the concentration value of An.M is 6 and after carrying out brain exercises for 3 times the concentration value of An. M increases to 15. While in An.H before carrying out value brain exercises An.H concentration is 5 and after doing brain exercises 3 times the concentration value of An. H increases to 10. This proves that the application of brain gymnastics can improve concentration in children. The conclusion is applying brain gym it can be proven increase concentration in children with a decrease in concentration in iffat KB Jambi in 2023. It is hoped that brain exercises can be applied by the iffat in the KB overcome concentration problems in children.Keywords : Brain Gym, Concentration, Preeschol

Abstract

AbstrakKanker merupakan penyakit kronis penyebab penting kematian pada anak. Penyakit kronis yang diderita anak dalam hal ini kanker, dapat memberikan respon yang berbeda-beda pada keluarga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengalaman orang tua dalam merawat anak yang menderita kanker. Metode penelitian ini dimulai dari pencarian data menggunakan lima database yaitu Science Direct, Taylor & Francis Online (Tandfonline), PubMed, DOAJ dan SAGE dengan rentang tahun 2017-2022 dengan jumlah 2.125 artikel. Artikel dicari dengan kata kunci “Understanding Parental Experiences in Caring for Children with Cancer”. Ditemukan 10 artikel memenuhi kriteria yang dinilai menggunakan the JBI critical appraisal tools. Keseluruhan artikel menyebutkan bahwa semua orang tua merasakan kondisi stress ketika pertama kali mengetahui anaknya menderita penyakit kanker, kondisi khusus pada anak menyebabkan setiap anak memerlukan perawatan secara khusus terhadap anak yang menderita kanker oleh orang tua. Kondisi ini menyebabkan orang tua sangat memerlukan dukungan dalam bentuk psikososial, material dan sosial terhadap orang tua dalam merawat anaknya yang menderita kanker. Kesimpulan dari telaah artikel ini adalah  dapat memberikan informasi, pengetahuan dan masukan pada orang tua dan praktisi kesehatan terutama yang merawat anak dengan riwayat kanker sehingga kualitas pemenuhan kebutuhan fisik, psikologis dan sosial anak dengan kanker akibat penyakit dan pengobatan medis dapat ditingkatkan.  Kata kunci: pengalaman orang tua, perawatan anak, kanker

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of guided imagery relaxation therapy in reducing pain in patients with gastritis. Gastritis, characterized by inflammation of the stomach lining, often leads to significant epigastric pain, affecting patients' quality of life. The research method employed is a literature review, which collects and analyzes data from various previous studies regarding the application of guided imagery as a non-pharmacological intervention. The results indicate that guided imagery therapy can significantly reduce pain levels in gastritis patients. Before the intervention, the majority of patients experienced moderate to severe pain; however, after the therapy was applied, many patients reported a reduction in pain to the point of experiencing none at all. Thus, this therapy has proven to be safe and effective, with no adverse side effects. This study recommends the implementation of guided imagery therapy as an alternative in pain management for gastritis patients and encourages further research to explore the long-term benefits of this intervention.

Abstract

Orphans are a special group of children who are generally marginalized and vulnerable to mental disorders. Efforts that can be made are to provide education about the importance of maintaining mental health as an effort to improve mental health. So that education can be easily understood by school age children, education needs to be delivered using varied media, namely pop-up book media because pop-up books provide surprises on every page which will make the story even more real. This research aims to determine the effect of using pop up book media on the mental health of school-aged children. This research is a quasi-experimental quantitative research using a pretest-posttest control group design approach with 20 respondents divided into 10 intervention groups and 10 control groups. Data measurement with the SDQ instrument. Univariate data analysis using frequency distribution. Bivariate analysis uses paired t-test. The results of mental health research after being given pop-up book media were that in the intervention group, 10 respondents were in the normal category (100%) while in the control group 8 respondents were in the abnormal category (80%) and 2 respondents were in the borderline category (20% . which was tested using the paired t-test, the p-value was 0.001 or p < 0.05. This shows that there is a significant difference in mental health before and after being given education using pop up book media. There is a significant influence between mental health before and after being given pop-up book media at the Sumatra Rindang Foundation. It is hoped that the Sumatra Rindang Foundation can develop pop-up book media for a more interesting and effective learning process.
