Abstract

The rapid development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Indonesia has increased the demand for reliable network and telecommunication services. This situation has led to a rise in Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities, which carry high risks of workplace accidents. PT. XYZ is a company operating in the network and telecommunications sector, where PM tasks such as fiber optic cable repairs, cable pulling, joint box lowering, and cable installation repairs are carried out in areas with high potential hazards, including working at heights and near electrical installations. This study aims to reduce unsafe actions during PM activities by implementing the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method and the DO IT (Define, Observe, Intervene, and Test) approach within the Behavior Based Safety (BBS) framework. The research was conducted using field observations, interviews with workers, and accident data collected from 2023. The results show that unsafe behaviors, such as improper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and failure to follow standard procedures, still frequently occur. Through the DO IT stages—define, observe, intervene, and test—workers’ awareness of occupational safety increased. The implementation of JSA and DO IT proved effective in identifying potential hazards and designing appropriate interventions to prevent workplace accidents. This study provides recommendations for the company to enhance its occupational health and safety (OHS) management system to create a safer and more productive work environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to help solve problems related to factors that influence reduced income or sales achievement using the SOAR and QSPM methods. The purpose of using the SOAR and QSPM matrices is to find valid and practical results for the problems faced by the owner of the Thrift shop Labersa Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is qualitative where researchers obtain research results through distributing questionnaires with primary data types, namely direct interviews with the owner and related parties, while the method in the research data uses the SOAR and QSPM methods as a reference in concluding the results of the questionnaire. The results of the study found that the results of the validity and reliability tests said valid and reliable, then the results of the IE and SOAR matrix analysis quadrants were obtained in quadrant V with the aim that the store in that phase must maintain the market and develop products. The final results of the SOAR and QSPM tests obtained AS and TAS 6.758 are the highest results by providing pre-order services for branded goods according to customer demand and exclusive shopping fields.

Abstract

Idealnya, semakin tinggi jumlah pendaftar di suatu institusi pendidikan, semakin tinggi kualitas dari mahasiswa yang diterima. Akan tetapi, kondisi ideal ini tidak dicapai oleh Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi (FST) UIN Suska Riau disebabkan karena sedikitnya jumlah mahasiswa yang berasal dari sekolah menengah unggul yang mendaftar sebagai mahasiswa di FST UIN Suska Riau. Berdasarkan survey terhadap dosen di FST UIN Suska, masih terdapat kendala yang cukup besar dalam proses transfer ilmu kepada mahasiswa terutama dalam hal daya tangkap dan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi ajar. Oleh karena itu, analisis lebih lanjut mengenai mahasiswa saat ini diperlukan untuk merancang sebuah strategi bagaimana menarik minat siswa yang berasal dari sekolah menengah unggul untuk mendaftar sebagai mahasiswa di FST UIN Suska Riau. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah segmentasi mahasiswa menggunakan algoritma K-Means dan teknik kluster menggunakan algoritma Dunn Index. Pengumpulan data dilakukan sebanyak 614 mahasiswa FST tahun ajaran 2015 sampai 2017. Output dari segmentasi mahasiswa digunakan untuk menentukan target dari Marketing Mix 7P. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 2 kluster mahasiswa dengan nilai Dunn Index 1,99. Kuesioner disebarkan kepada mahasiswa dari dua kluster yang berbeda tersebut dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga variabel Marketing Mix yang berpotensi untuk meningkatkan target pasar yaitu people, product, dan place. AbstractIdeally, the higher number of registrant in an educational institution, the higher quality of the accepted students. But, this ideal condition was not achieved by Faculty of Science dan Technology UIN Suska Riau due to the minimum number of students from top ranking senior high school who registered as student in FST UIN Suska Riau. Based on a survey of lecturers at FST UIN Suska, there are still significant limitations in the process of transferring knowledge to students, especially in terms of catching dan understdaning students towards teaching materials. Therefore, further analysis of current input of students is needed to design a strategy how to attract the high quality of high school students to register as student in FST UIN Suska Riau. The methodology in this research are student segmentations using K-Means Algorithm dan Clustering with Dunn Index Algorithm. The data collection derived from 614 students of FST in academic year 2015 until 2017. The output of student segmentations were used to determine the target using Marketing Mix 7P.  This research yield two clusters of students with Dunn Index Value was 1.99. The questionnaire were spreaded to students from the two different clusters dan the results showed that there are three variables of Marketing Mix that potentially increase the market target that is people, product, dan place.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Usaha Komunitas Nyiur Terpadu bergerak pada bidang memproduksi Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). Proses produksi VCO pada IKM ini sebagian telah menggunakan mesin, namun belum mampu memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap jumlah hasil produksi VCO, sehingga kurang maksimal dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggannya. Penelitian ini bertujauan untuk melakukan eksplorasi ampas kelapa dalam proses produksi VCO sebagai upaya efisiensi waktu proses produksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah ergonomi partisipatori yang melibatkan stakeholder secara penuh dalam pemanfaatan ampas kelapa sebagai bahan proses proses produksi VCO dengan harapan mampu meningkatkan hasil produksi VCO secara signifikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan ampas kelapa pada proses pemisahan larutan santan menjadi VCO mampu meningkatkan efisiensi waktu sebesar 2 jam. Hasil ini berpotensi untuk menigkatkan produksi VCO pada Usaha Komunitas Nyiur Terpadu dengan memanfaatkan ampas kelapa sebagai solusi yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan. ABSTRACTNyiur Integrated Community Business is engaged in producing Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). The VCO production process in this SME has partly used machines but has not been able to have a significant impact on the amount of VCO production, so it is not optimal in meeting the needs of its customers. This research aims to explore coconut dregs in the VCO production process to improve the efficiency of the production process. The research method used is participatory ergonomics which fully involves stakeholders in the utilization of coconut pulp as a material for the VCO production process with the hope of significantly increasing VCO production. The results of this study show that the utilization of coconut pulp in the process of separating coconut milk solution into VCO can increase time efficiency by 2 hours. This result has the potential to increase VCO production in the Integrated Nyiur Community Business by utilizing coconut pulp as an environmentally friendly and sustainable solution.

Abstract

CV Afri Group is one of the middlemen (agents) buying and selling palm oil in Kunto Darussalam, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau. this company is engaged in distributing palm oil to PKS, the palm oil distribution process does not always run smoothly there are risks that often occur in distribution. The risks that arise cause the distribution is not optimal. Risk management is needed to identify and detect problems in the distribution process. The FMEA method is a method used to identify the distribution process. Based on the FMEA method, there are 6 potential failures and 33 risk sub-indicators from the distribution process, such as Farmer Relations with the highest RPN value of 266.2, and based on the RPN value, 4 critical risks are obtained which will be analyzed by FTA to find roots. of existing problems

Abstract

Kelemahan sistem pengendalian persediaan di PT. X meliputi fluktuasi jumlah stok barang di gudang yang sering berubah-ubah serta permintaan yang sulit diprediksi. Kondisi ini menyebabkan terjadinya kekurangan atau kelebihan stok di gudang akibat ketidakpastian permintaan. Perlu dilakukan pengoptimalan dalam pemesanan barang agar persediaan di gudang terpenuhi sesuai permintaan retail sehingga tidak menyebabkan kekurangan stok (stockout) dan penumpukan barang (overstock) di akhir karena keterlambatan kedatangan barang. Oleh karena itu digunakan metode Simulasi Monte Carlo untuk meramalkan jumlah permintaan barang dan digunakan untuk memprediksi lead time pemesanan barang yang bersifat probabilistik. Selanjutnya digunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model probabilistik guna untuk mengidentifikasi jumlah pemesanan dan persediaan produk Coca-Cola pada periode yang akan datang dan menghitung total biaya persediaan minimum digudang menggunakan data historis November 2023-Oktober 2024. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan perbandingan Total Biaya Persediaan menggunakan EOQ Probabilistik mendapat penghematan sebesar Rp 7.917.429 atau sebedar 13,7% dari kebijakan perusahaan saat ini.
