Abstract

ABSTRAK Echinodermata merupakan salah satu phylum yang memiliki peranan penting di perairan terumbu karang, seperti ditemukan di Perairan Pulau Menjangan Kecil. Peranan Bulu Babi di ekosistem terumbu karang berkaitan dengan pengendalian ekspansi algae. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 dan 20 November 2016, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui penyebaran Bulu Babi serta kelimpahan Bulu Babi pada kedalaman dan antar lokasi yang berbeda. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksplanatif. Stasiun pengukuran terdapat di zona muka dan belakang pulau yang terdapat terumbu karang, masing-masing stasiun dengan kedalaman yang berbeda. Pola penyebaran Bulu Babi dapat diketahui menggunakan formula ID= S2/  , berdasarkan rumus tersebut diketahui nilai ID (indeks dispersion) tiap kedalaman di dua lokasi yang berbeda. Hasil ID pada Lokasi A berbeda pada kedalaman 0-90cm dan 90-140cm ID < 1, sedangkan kedalaman 140-170cm dan >170cm ID > 1. Hasil ID lokasi B pada empat kedalaman yang berbeda yaitu ID>1. Berdasarkan hasil ID tersebut dapat diketahui bagaimana pola penyebaran. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Bulu Babi di Pulau Menjangan Kecil sebagian besar hidup mengelompok pada kedalaman yang ekosistem terumbu karang masih cukup baik. Kata Kunci: Pulau Menjangan Kecil; Penyebaran; Kelimpahan; Bulu Babi ABSTRACT Echinoderm is one of the phylum that has an important role in the waters of the coral reefs, as found in the waters of the Menjangan Kecil Island. The role of the sea urchins in the coral reef ecosystem is related to the control of algae expansion. The study was conducted in 19th  and 20th  November 2016, with the objective of knowing the spread abundance of sea urchins at different depths and locations. The method that used was explanative method. The measuring stations are located in the back and forth zones of coral reefs, each with different depths. Spread pattern of sea urchins can be known using the formula ID = S2 / x ̅, based on the formula is known value of ID (dispersion index) each depth at two different location. Result ID at Location A at 0-90 cm and 90-140 cm is ID <1, while at 140-170 cm and > 170 cm is ID> 1. The result of location ID B on four different depths is ID> 1. Based on the ID results can be known how the pattern of dissemination. This indicates that the sea urchins in Menjangan Kecil Island live mostly in groups at the depths of which coral reef ecosystems are still quite good. Keywords: Menjangan Kecil Island; Dispersal patterns; Abundanc;  Sea Urchins

Abstract

Soft-shell crabs are a type of crab harvested after molting or shedding their old shells. Soft-shell crabs are known for their high market value, both in domestic and international markets. Technological advancements in crab farming include the mangrove crab mutilation system to produce soft-shell crabs (soka). However, many communities still lack an understanding of this technology. The mutilation technology is known to provide benefits, so we conducted a community outreach program to impart knowledge about the molting process in crabs and provide training on how to mutilate crabs in Kamal Village. Additionally, in the crab farming process, there are issues related to water quality management and feeding. The outreach program also aims to provide solutions to these problems. The method employed is the Adult Learning Approach, which is carried out through participatory lectures and interactive discussions. Meanwhile, the crab mutilation training is conducted using the Demonstration and Example Method, where participants practice the crab mutilation process after receiving demonstrations from the facilitators. The molting process and the sustainability of the outreach program are continued with ongoing mentoring until desired outcomes are achieved.

Abstract

Mangroves have many benefits. However, not many people know and understand the benefits of mangroves. Therefore, this service aims to provide education and plant mangroves in Taddan Village, Sampang. The service carried out in July - November 2023 in Taddan Village, Camplong District, Sampang Regency. The tools and materials used in this service include mangroves, gloves, raffia rope and stakes. Mangrove education was carried out at the Taddan Village Hall, Sampang involving the Taddan Village community. Mangrove planting was carried out twice involving several parties including Forkopimcam, Camplong District, TNI-Polri personnel, Disaster Risk Reduction Forum (FPRB) Sampang Regency, Taddan Mangrove Conversation (TMC) Sampang, students of Trunojoyo Madura University (UTM) Bangkalan, and members of Saka Bhayangkara Sampang Quarter. This activity ran smoothly and successfully. The type of mangrove planted is Rhizopora stylosa with a total of 4000 seeds.It is hoped that planting mangrove tree seedlings can protect the coastline of Taddan Village from erosion and sea water abrasion while also protecting marine biota.

Abstract

Ekowisata Mangrove Labuhan memiliki daya tarik pada aspek konservasi ekologi, tetapi pengembangannya masih belum optimal. Tantangan utama terdapat pada sektor konservasi mangrove yang didasarkan pada jumlah tanaman yang masih terbatas, sehingga mengurangi potensi ekologi kawasan. Selain itu, sektor pemeliharaan aset menghadapi kendala berupa kondisi fasilitas penerangan yang minim serta jalur tracking yang rusak, sehingga memerlukan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan dan daya tarik wisatawan. Atas dasar permasalahan tersebut, maka pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui mitra Kelompok Sadar Wisata Payung Kuning Labuhan, Bangkalan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan partisipasif dan kerja sama dengan komunitas lokal melalaui berbagai betuk kegiatan seperti sosialisasi (peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat), penanaman mangrove bersama, aksi sisir pantai, dan peremajaan fasilitas ekowisata mangrove. Hasil penanaman mangrove yang berhasil tumbuh akan menjadi aset penting dalam keberlangsungan hidup ekosistem serta ekowisata. Pengabdian ini telah mampu meningkatkan konservasi keanekaragaman hayati mangrove melalui penanaman 1.000 bibit mangrove, menjaga kelestarian alam melalui aksi sisir pantai dan mempromosikan praktik berkelanjutan melalui perbaikan di ekowisata mangrove Labuhan. Sosialisasi mengenai peran dan manfaat mangrove diharapkan mampu memberikan pemahaman baru tentang pentingnya mangrove di ekosistem pantai, serta menjaga kebersihan pantai dan mangrove. Peremajaan fasilitas wisata akan memberikan timbal balik keuntungan bagi mitra untuk beberapa tahun ke depan.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tekstur sedimen terhadap vegetasi mangrove Di Education Park Desa Labuhan, Kecamatan Sepulu, Kabupaten Bangkalan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Pengambilan  sampel dilakukan dari 3 stasiun yang terbagi dalam 3 wilayah yaitu daratan, dekat aliran sungai dan daerah garis pantai yang meliputi pengukuran vegetasi mangrove, sampel sedimen. Analisis tekstur sedimen dengan metode Buchanan dengan dua analisa yaitu analisa kering (sieve shaker) dan analisa basah (pemipetan). Tekstur sedimen yang diketahui pada stasiun 1 dan 2 terdapat sand (pasir), silt (lumpur) dan clay (liat), sedangkan stasiun 3 hanya terdapat Gravel (kerikil) dan sand (pasir). Metode yang digunakan dalam pengkuran tingkat hubungan antara tekstur sedimen terhadap kerapatan vegetasi mangrove menggunakan metode Uji Korelasi Pearson. Hasil kerapatan mangrove pada stasiun 1 sebesar 1800 dengan vegetasi mangrove Avicennia marina, Rhizophora mucronata dan Sonneratia alba. Stasiun 2 memperoleh sebesar 4633 dengan vegetasi mangrove Rhizophora mucronata, sedangkan pada stasiun 3 memperoleh sebasar 767 dengan vegetasi mangrove Sonneratia alba. Hasil uji korelasi pearson menunjukkan bahwa hubungan tekstur sedimen sand (pasir), silt (lumpur) dan clay (liat) terhadap kerapatan mangrove stasiun 1 memperoleh koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,936 (sangat kuat), stasiun 2 hubungan antara tekstur sedimen sand (pasir), silt (lumpur) dan clay (liat) terhadap kerapatan mangrove memperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi pearson sebesar 0,903 (sangat kuat) dan stasiun 3 hubungan antara tekstur sedimen gravel (kerikil) dan sand (pasir) terhadap kerapatan mangrove memperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,942 (sangat kuat).Kata kunci: Tekstur sedimen, Mangrove, Kerapatan, Education Park LabuhanABSRACTThis study aims to determine the cerrelation of sediment texture to mangrove vegetation in Education Park Labuhan Village, Sepulu District, Bangkalan Regency. The method used in this research is quantitative method. Sampling was conducted from 3 stations which are divided into 3 areas, namely the mainland, near the river and the shoreline area which includes measurement of mangrove vegetation, sediment samples. Analysis of sediment texture with Buchanan method with two analyzes, namely dry analysis (sieve shaker) and wet analysis (pipetting). Sediment texture known at stations 1 and 2 there is sand (sand), silt (mud) and clay (clay), while station 3 there is only Gravel (gravel) and sand (sand). The method used in measuring the level of correlation between sediment texture to mangrove vegetation density using the Pearson Correlation Test method. The results of mangrove density at station 1 amounted to 1800 with mangrove vegetation Avicennia marina, Rhizophora mucronata and Sonneratia alba. Station 2 obtained 4633 with Rhizophora mucronata mangrove vegetation, while at station 3 obtained 767 with Sonneratia alba mangrove vegetation. Pearson correlation test results show that the correlation between sediment texture sand (sand), silt (mud) and clay (clay) to mangrove density station 1 obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.936 (very strong), station 2 correlation between sediment texture sand (sand), silt (mud) and clay (clay).Keywords: Sediment texture, Mangrove, Density, Education Park Labuhan

Abstract

ABSTRAKHutan mangrove merupakan salah satu ekosistem yang mendukung keberadaan berbagai organisme hidup, salah satunya yaitu makrozoobenthos. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui asosiasi antara kerapatan mangrove dengan kelimpahan makrozoobenthos dengan vegetasi yang berbeda. Penelitian dilakukan di Labuhan Mangrove Education Park menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada 9 plot transek berukuran 10x10 m menggunakan metode line transect dan setiap plot transek terdapat sub-plot berukuran 1x1 m. Ditemukan sebanyak 19 spesies makrozoobenthos dari 3 kelas (Gastropoda, Bivalvia, dan Crustacea) dengan kelimpahan individu berkisar antara 0,06–17,89 ind/m2 dan kelimpahan per pengulangan sebesar 2,80-9,63 ind/m2. Indeks keanekaragaman makrozoobenthos tergolong rendah hingga sedang (0,57–1,52), indeks keseragaman dalam kategori rendah hingga tinggi (0,32–0,68), serta indeks dominansi yang tergolong tidak ada hingga ada spesies yang mendominasi (0,32–0,76). Hasil uji Pearson menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,249 (p 0,05) yang artinya tidak ada asosiasi yang signifikan antara kelimpahan makrozoobenthos dan kerapatan mangrove.Kata Kunci: Asosiasi, Kelimpahan, Makrozoobenthos, Mangrove, Labuhan Mangrove Education ParkABSTRACTMangrove forests are one of the ecosystems that support the existence of various living organisms, one of which is macrozoobenthos. This study aims to determine the association between mangrove density and macrozoobenthos abundance with different vegetation. The study was conducted at Labuhan Mangrove Education Park using a quantitative descriptive method with purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out on 9 transect plots measuring 10x10 m using the line transect method, and each transect plot had a sub-plot measuring 1x1 m. A total of 19 macrozoobenthos species from 3 classes (Gastropoda, Bivalvia, and Crustacea) were found, with individual abundance ranging from 0.06 to 17,89 ind/m2 and abundance per repetition of 2,80-9,63 ind/m2. The macrozoobenthos diversity index was classified as low to moderate (0,57–1,52), the evenness index was in the low to high category (0,32–0,68), and the dominance index was classified as no to dominant species (0,32–0,76). The Pearson test results showed a significance value of 0.249 (p 0,05), which means that there is no significant association between macrozoobenthos abundance and mangrove density.Keywords: Association, Abundance, Macrozoobenthos, Mangrove, Labuhan Mangrove Education Park
