Abstract

Cervical cancer is a women's health problem that can be prevented through prevention and early detection. One early detection method is the Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) test, which is relatively simple, affordable, and effective. However, women's lack of knowledge and awareness regarding risk factors, prevention, and the importance of early detection of cervical cancer remains a challenge in control efforts. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of women of childbearing age (WUS) regarding cervical cancer, risk factors, prevention efforts, and the importance of the VIA test. The method used was a lecture using PowerPoint, followed by a question-and-answer session and discussion. The activity was held on August 12, 2024, and was attended by approximately 62 women of childbearing age. The results showed that the socialization proceeded smoothly and received a positive response, as demonstrated by the enthusiasm and active participation of participants during the presentation and discussion. This activity is expected to increase participants' knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of early detection of cervical cancer and encourage them to undergo the VIA test as recommended by health professionals. Thus, this socialization is one of the promotional and preventive efforts to increase awareness of women's reproductive health. Sustainability of the program through regular education and support from health workers is needed to encourage wider use of cervical cancer early detection services.

Abstract

SERPAHAT is an abbreviation for Healthy Spice Powder. SERPAHAT is made from ginger and turmeric, which are extracted to produce a powder that can be brewed directly. SERPAHAT is managed by Pamulihan Village as an effort to create employment. The abundance of agricultural land found in Pamulihan Village encourages residents to produce raw food ingredients from existing agricultural land. Furthermore, ginger is also a popular herbal plant in Indonesia and abroad. Ginger has a long history in the manufacture of food, medicines, and health drinks. Ginger also has benefits for overcoming nausea and vomiting, improving digestive health, brain health, and curing migraines.

Abstract

Situ Batu Peti is a natural tourist attraction located in Sukamukti Village, Banjar City, which has great potential to be developed into a leading ecotourism-based tourist attraction. This study aims to analyze the application of ecotourism principles in Situ Batu Peti in the context of sustainable tourism development. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data were obtained through direct observation, interviews with tourism managers, and a review of related literature. The results of the study indicate that the application of ecotourism principles in Situ Batu Peti has been carried out quite well, including environmental conservation, local community participation, and education for tourists. However, there are several aspects that need to be improved, such as waste management and increasing community capacity in managing tourism. The implementation of ecotourism in Situ Batu Peti is expected to become a model for other tourism development in Banjar City, so that it can provide economic benefits to the local community without damaging the natural environment.
