Abstract

Cervical cancer is a women's health problem that can be prevented through prevention and early detection. One early detection method is the Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) test, which is relatively simple, affordable, and effective. However, women's lack of knowledge and awareness regarding risk factors, prevention, and the importance of early detection of cervical cancer remains a challenge in control efforts. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of women of childbearing age (WUS) regarding cervical cancer, risk factors, prevention efforts, and the importance of the VIA test. The method used was a lecture using PowerPoint, followed by a question-and-answer session and discussion. The activity was held on August 12, 2024, and was attended by approximately 62 women of childbearing age. The results showed that the socialization proceeded smoothly and received a positive response, as demonstrated by the enthusiasm and active participation of participants during the presentation and discussion. This activity is expected to increase participants' knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of early detection of cervical cancer and encourage them to undergo the VIA test as recommended by health professionals. Thus, this socialization is one of the promotional and preventive efforts to increase awareness of women's reproductive health. Sustainability of the program through regular education and support from health workers is needed to encourage wider use of cervical cancer early detection services.

Abstract

The state of Indonesian education is quite concerning, especially in terms of literacy and numeracy. The literacy and numeracy levels of Indonesian students are still quite low compared to the levels of literacy and numeracy in other countries. Given this condition, students certainly cannot just sit back without making any contribution to Indonesian education. As Indonesian citizens in general and as students in particular, we certainly have great desires and hopes for the advancement of education in Indonesia. The Kampus Mengajar Program is one program that can facilitate the desire of students to be involved in the process of advancing Indonesian education. The Kampus Mengajar Program provides opportunities for students to take part in advancing education in Indonesia. Through the Kampus Mengajar program, students can go directly into the field and make a real contribution to Indonesian education.

Abstract

The Internship and Independent Study Program (MSIB) is a program to improve students' hard skills and soft skills. The Surabaya City Department, with its Community-Based Total Sanitation program, hereinafter referred to as STBM, promotes hygienic and sanitation behavior that is used as a reference in the implementation of STBM. STBM data collection is carried out using the method applied in the Healthy Homes and Community-Based Total Sanitation data collection survey using a mixed approach, namely a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative method is carried out through in-depth interviews and group discussions to understand community perceptions and habits regarding sanitation, while the quantitative method is applied by distributing questionnaires and conducting direct observations to collect numerical data on sanitation and health conditions in each home, so that the data results are more accurate.
