Abstract

Community empowerment through local resource-based training is a strategic effort to enhance skills and economic independence, particularly in rural areas. This training program aims to utilize locally available resources, such as natural materials and agricultural products, to create high-value-added products. By involving the community in the learning and production process, the training can improve individual capacities and strengthen the local economy. Additionally, the use of local materials promotes environmental sustainability by reducing reliance on imported or environmentally harmful materials. The program’s outcomes are expected to generate new job opportunities, increase community income, and raise awareness of the importance of optimizing local resources.Key Word : Community empowerment  , local resource , training is a strategic

Abstract

Activity tourist based potency natural is one of the flagship programs currently encouraged in various area . Because, activities tourist have potency great economy and can influence developments in various sector life society. Existence awareness tourism is needed for support development program success tourist based nature. Because, knowledge, attitude and skills society in general still not yet adequate in Thing the benefits that can be obtained if there is destination tour based nature in the environment. Study this aim for uncover Constraints experienced by the Awareness Society Tour in activity empowerment Public based tour nature in Nagari Siguntur Old, District South Coast. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the self-awareness and discipline of learners in the Package C program at PKBM Farilla Ilmi, Padang City, and explore the relationship between these two variables, in response to concerns about low self-awareness among learners, potentially linked to discipline issues. This study employed a quantitative correlational design, sampling 33 respondents from 48 Package C learners at PKBM Farilla Ilmi, Padang City, using stratified random sampling, questionnaires, and statistical analysis (percentage formulas and product moment correlation. The study reveals three key findings: (1) Package C learners at PKBM Farilla Ilmi demonstrate high self-awareness, marked by emotional intelligence, self-assessment, and confidence. (2) They also exhibit excellent learning discipline, reflected in attendance, participation, and assignment completion. (3) A significant positive correlation exists between self-awareness and learning discipline among these learners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji gambaran pemberdayaan organisasi Bundo Kanduang dalam memberikan dukungan kepada remaja di Nagari Buo, Kecamatan Lintau Buo, Kabupaten Tanah Datar, Sumatera Barat, yang sebelumnya terlibat dalam perilaku negatif. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, serta mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari pimpinan dan struktur organisasi Bundo Kanduang, sementara informan penelitian mencakup Wali Nagari, masyarakat, dan remaja yang dibina oleh organisasi. Triangulasi teori, sumber, dan metode diperuntukkan untuk memastikan keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan di bidang pendidikan berhasil mengembangkan karakter dan keterampilan praktis remaja, serta meningkatkan soft skills seperti komunikasi dan empati. Di bidang sosial budaya, Bundo Kanduang berperan dalam memperkuat nilai gotong royong dan pelestarian budaya Minangkabau melalui keterlibatan remaja dalam kegiatan adat. Sedangkan di bidang keagamaan, program pemberdayaan ini meningkatkan pengetahuan agama dan mempererat ikatan sosial antaranggota komunitas. Keseluruhan hasil penelitian menggambarkan keberhasilan organisasi dalam merestorasi moral dan memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap perkembangan remaja di Nagari Buo.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of bag knitting training participants, this was thought to be influenced by the delivery of material from the training instructor. The aim of this research activity is to find out: the delivery of material by the instructor, the learning outcomes of bag knitting training participants, and the relationship between the delivery of material by the instructor and the learning outcomes of bag knitting training participants at PKK Nagari Campago. The research was carried out using a quantitative approach with a correlational type. The research population was 25 participants who took part in bag knitting training activities. Meanwhile, the research sample was taken using a total sampling technique, namely 25 people. The research instrument for collecting data uses a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques use percentage and rank order formulas. The research results show that: (1) The delivery of material by the instructor is categorized as not optimal; (2) The learning outcomes of bag knitting training participants are categorized as low; and (3) There is a significant relationship between the delivery of material by the instructor and the learning outcomes of bag knitting training participants at PKK Nagari Campago. Research suggestions for bag knitting training instructors are to optimize the delivery of material by studying several methods in delivering material and for further researchers it is recommended to make a more in-depth theoretical study of this research, namely regarding the delivery of material by instructors with the learning outcomes of training participants.

Abstract

Empowerment evaluation is critical in ensuring that the empowerment program achieves its goals and provides the intended benefits to the community it serves. By conducting a complete bibliometric analysis for the period 2014-2023, this study analyzed the current state and research trends in the subject of empowerment evaluation. This research focused on publication language, growth rates, keywords, most frequently used authors, most referenced papers, most prolific authors, most productive institutions, and most active countries. 355 journal articles were obtained from the Scopus database for bibliometric mapping analysis. The research findings showed that: (1) the majority of articles were written in English; (2) the most published articles were in 2015, with 65 articles; (3) empowerment was the most commonly used keyword; (4) the article by Fox, J.A. 2015 was the most frequently cited document; (5) Ponsford, R. from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom (England) is the most prolific writer; and  (6) the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in the United Kingdom (England) is a public institution that produces the most work in the field of empowerment evaluation; and (7) the United States is the country with the highest work productivity in this field. This paper makes an important contribution to the topic of empowerment evaluation by providing a complete overview, scientific landscape, and future directions for the advancement and strengthening of research in the field.

Abstract

Research article abstracts play a vital role in shaping initial impressions of scholarly work. This study investigates nuances in abstract writing across arts and humanities, social sciences, physics and astronomy, and chemistry. Using Bhatia's four-move and Hyland's five-move models, we analyze rhetorical move structures in 20 recent abstracts from top journals in each discipline. Verb tense preferences are examined through Tseng's approach, with a focus on the introduction move. Lexical density ratios are calculated following Halliday to assess complexity. Results reveal distinct move patterns between soft sciences (arts and humanities, social sciences) emphasizing logical flow, and hard sciences (physics and astronomy, chemistry) prioritizing conciseness. Verb tense analysis exposes tailored rhetorical strategies, with soft sciences exhibiting varied tenses and hard sciences consistently using present perfect tense to frame background. Lexical density is higher in soft science abstracts indicating more descriptive narratives, while hard science abstracts are more information-dense. These disciplinary nuances underscore the need for tailored guidelines and training in abstract writing. Findings contribute insights to enhance coherence, aligned with the conventions and epistemologies of diverse scientific communities.

Abstract

Perilaku sosial anak di Panti Asuhan Khusus Anak Mentawai di Gurun Laweh Kota Padang yang dikategorikan kurang baik menjadi dasar penelitian ini. Hal ini merupakan hasil dari para pembina panti asuhan yang memberikan pembinaan moral yang kurang baik kepada anak asuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perilaku sosial anak-anak di panti asuhan terkait dengan instruksi moral yang mereka terima dari pengasuh mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian korelasional dan metodekuantitatif. Terdapat 93 partisipan dalam penelitian ini, dan 74 respon diperoleh dengan menggunakan pendekatan Cluster Random Sampling untuk mengambil sampel hingga 80% dari populasi. Angketyang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perkembangan moral anak masuk dalam kategori kurang baik di Panti Asuhan Khusus Anak Mentawai Gurun Laweh Kota Padang; (2) perilaku sosial anak masuk dalam kategori yang sama yaitu kurang baik; dan (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pembinaan moral pengasuh dengan perilaku sosial anak Panti Asuhan Khusus Anak Mentawai Gurun Laweh Kota Padang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kesiapan kerja peserta pelatihan komputer di LKP Bougenville, hal ini diduga dipengaruhi keterampilan kerja peserta pelatihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran: keterampilan kerja peserta pelatihan komputer di LKP Bougenville, kesiapan kerja peserta pelatihan komputer di LKP Bougenville dan hubungan keterampilan kerja dengan kesiapan kerja peserta pelatihan komputer di LKP Bougenville Kecamatan Lubuk Basung Kabupaten Agam. Penelitian dilakukan secara pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasional. Populasi penelitian yaitu peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan komputer yang berjumlah 35 orang. Sementara sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling yaitu 25 orang. Instrumen penelitian dalam pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus persentase dan rank order. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) keterampilan kerja peserta pelatihan komputer di LKP Bougenville dikategorikan rendah; (2) kesiapan kerja peserta pelatihan komputer di LKP Bougenville dikategorikan rendah; dan (3) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara keterampilan kerja dengan kesiapan kerja peserta pelatihan komputer di LKP Bougenville Kecamatan Lubuk Basung Kabupaten Agam. Oleh karena itu, disarankan bagi pihak pengelola dengan penelitian ini diharapkan akan menjadi referensi dan masukan dalam meningkatkan kualitas suatu lembaga pelatihan khusus pada LKP Bougenville Kecamatan Lubuk Basung Kabupaten Agam.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of mathematics subjects of package C learners atPKBM Sepakat Bersama, Padang City. The objectives of this study are to describe: (1) tutor interpersonalcommunication, (2) mathematics learning outcomes, and (3) the relationship between tutor interpersonalcommunication and learning outcomes of package C mathematics subjects at PKBM Sepakat Bersama, PadangCity. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational type. The population in this study werelearners who took package C equivalency education at PKBM Sepakat Bersama, Padang City, totaling 45people. Meanwhile, the research sample was taken using a stratified random sampling technique so that thenumber of samples obtained for this study was 70% of the total population, namely 33 people. Questionnairesthat had passed validity and reliability tests were used to collect data, then analyzed using percentage analysisand Product Moment correlation techniques. The research findings show that (1) Tutor interpersonalcommunication is considered less good, (2) The learning outcomes of package C learners in mathematics arelow, and (3) There is a significant relationship between tutor interpersonal communication and learningoutcomes of package C mathematics subjects at PKBM Sepakat Bersama, Padang City.Keywords: Tutor Interpersonal Communication, Learning Outcomes, Community Service Program (PKBM)
