Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah terkait persamaan linear. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang terlihat dari hasil tes yang menunjukkan skor sangat rendah pada indikator-indikator seperti interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, dan inferensi. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 siswa kelas XI SMA NEGERI 4 Sungai Penuh selama tahun akademik 2023-2024. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan alat pengumpulan data berupa tes esai dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa sangat rendah, dengan skor rata-rata pada setiap indikator sebagai berikut: interpretasi 19%, analisis 14%, evaluasi 12,5%, dan inferensi 5,5%. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis ini antara lain kurangnya pemahaman materi, kesalahan dalam menginterpretasi soal, serta ketidakmampuan dalam mengidentifikasi dan mengevaluasi solusi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa siswa kelas XI SMA NEGERI 4 Sungai Penuh Aladdin memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang sangat rendah dalam menyelesaikan masalah persamaan linear. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan ini, diperlukan peningkatan latihan dan metode pengajaran yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore and introduce local culture in the form of woven crafts that contain the concept of geometry of curved surface solids, aided by GeoGebra media that can model the mathematical concepts embedded in the weaving culture. This research is descriptive in nature. From the student assessment sheets, it is evident that students have started to understand the concept of mathematics, especially in the topic of curved surface solids. In their learning, this is linked with the use of GeoGebra as a learning medium, which can serve as an effective learning resource for students in realizing cultural objects into the media used. This can enhance students' imagination in studying these solids, making it easier for them to remember and learn the material being discussed. Although there are students who do not yet understand the concept of curved surface solids in mathematics, the use of media as a learning support, especially GeoGebra, will be very helpful if a teacher uses it in accordance with the material being discussed and the needs of the students. Engaging media will attract students to learn because in this advanced era, many students are reluctant to study due to boring teaching methods. Therefore, it’s important for a teacher to create engaging learning media to attract students to learn.

Abstract

Guru privat dibutuhkan untuk sebagian siswa yang ingin lebih memahami materi pelajaran tertentu melalui bimbingan. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi pencarian guru privat berbasis web agar memudahkan siswa dalam mencari guru privat. Pengembangan aplikasi ini menggunakan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak model Waterfall yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu tahap Requirement Analysis, System Design, Implementation, Testing, dan Maintenance. Pengembangan aplikasi pencarian guru privat ini menggunakan framework CodeIgniter dengan mengimplementasi arsitektur Model, View, dan Controller. Aplikasi pencarian guru privat menjadi salah satu cara untuk memudahkan siswa dalam mencari dan menjadwalkan privat dengan lebih efisien karena siswa tidak harus ke tempat bimbel. Pengguna aplikasi pencarian guru privat dibagi menjadi tiga yaitu Admin, Guru, dan Siswa. Siswa dapat membuat akun, melakukan penjadwalan privat, serta melakukan absen untuk pencatatan administrasi. Guru dapat menerima atau menolak penjadwalan atau pesanan berdasarkan mata pelajaran yang diampu. Admin dapat melihat rekap mengajar dan rekap honor guru per bulan.

Abstract

Around the Kambang Estuary, there are fish shelters (TPI), fishing boat ports, residential areas, and mangrove ecosystems. This causes a decrease in water quality due to the increase in organic matter, which has an impact on the life of macrozoobenthos. The study conducted in February 2021 aims to analyze the organic matter content of sediments, identify the type and abundance of macrozoobenthos and the relationship between sedimentary organic matter and the abundance of macrozoobenthos. Determination of stations using purposive sampling method. This research was carried out at 4 stations with 4 sampling points. The results showed that the organic matter content found varied from 4.23 to 8.47%. The abundance of macrozoobenthos ranged from 13.89 to 38.89 ind/m2. The species of macrozoobenthos found at the study site consisted of 8 species from 3 classes of bivalves, gastropods and malacostraca. The relationship between the organic matter content in the sediment and the abundance of macrozoobenthos is obtained by the equation Y = 22.734 + 0.319X, where the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.003 and the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.054, which is a very weak shows correlation.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify students' misconceptions on the topic of function. The research used is qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were class X MIA3 selected by using purple sampling and snowball techniques. The research instrument was a written test using diagnostic test techniques for misconceptions, interviews, and observations. The qualitative data analysis techniques in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the research, there are 4 students who experience misconceptions in class X MIA3 on the topic of the functions. Out of 6 indicators of misconceptions, the reasons were caused by a lack of student interest in learning, underestimating the concept of functions so that they think learning the concept of functions is very easy, embarrassed to ask questions when studying, and never repeat lessons at home so that students cannot answer questions given by the teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ mathematical connections ability in solving Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) problems based on Jambi culture, viewed from judging and perceiving personality types as categorized by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). A total of 21 twelfth-grade students from SMA Negeri 3 Sungai Penuh participated in the MBTI test for personality identification. Based on the highest scores in each category, four students (two with judging and two with perceiving personalities) were purposefully selected for detailed analysis. A qualitative case study approach was employed, utilizing HOTS problems with local cultural stimuli, specifically the Kajang Leko traditional house and Padamaran cake, along with structured interview guidelines. Data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that students with judging personality types had higher scores (average 75%, high category) in mathematical connections ability compared to those with perceiving types (62.5%, moderate category). This difference can be attributed to the characteristics of judging individuals, who tend to be more systematic, structured, and consistent in constructing problem-solving steps, allowing them to connect mathematical concepts more logically. In contrast, perceiving students as flexible and spontaneous tended to be less organized, resulting in difficulties establishing comprehensive conceptual relationships. The novelty of this study lies in its integration of local Jambi culture as contextual stimuli in assessing mathematical connection ability based on personality types. The findings potentially diverge from previous studies, which suggested that perceiving types were more adept at making conceptual connections. This research indicates that local cultural contexts may influence students’ cognitive performance according to personality, highlighting the importance of incorporating cultural factors and individual characteristics into the design of mathematics instruction. Keywords: judging personality, perceiving personality, mathematical connections ability, HOTS questions, jambi culture.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how students' Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) ability is reflected in solving open-ended problems related to the topic of system of linear equations of two variables. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach aimed at uncovering the description of students' HOTS ability in answering open-ended problems related to the topic. Three students from three different groups, namely high, medium and low performers, were involved in this study. The results showed that students with high HOTS ability were able to solve open-ended problems at the cognitive level involving analysis, evaluation, and solution creation. Students with moderate HOTS ability were only able to solve problems at the analysis and evaluation levels, without reaching the solution creation level. Meanwhile, students with low HOTS ability were only able to solve problems at the analysis level, without reaching the evaluation and solution creation levels

Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang semakin pesat menuntut peserta didik bukan hanya memiliki pengetahuan yang luas akan tetapi juga memiliki keterampilan yang profesional. Penggunaan media pembelajaran secara daring menggunakan Wa Grup belum memperoleh hasil yang maksimal dan media yang digunakan masih kurang menarik dan belum inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa E-Modul Interaktif Menggunakan Sigil Pada Materi Pola Bilangan dengan menggunakan e-modul dapat mempermudah proses pembelajaran dan bisa dibawa kemana-mana agar tercapai pembelajaran yang efisien, efektif berdaya guna menarik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) berdasarkan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan, yaitu Analisys, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMPN 4 Kota Sungai Penuh. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik wawancara dan angket. Berdasarkan hasil dari angket yang telah diisi oleh peserta didik, hasil ini menempatkan e-modul pada kriteria praktis. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul menggunakan sigil pada materi pola bilangan praktis dan layak digunakan sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran.

Abstract

Stunting is a growth and development problem in children that needs to be addressed seriously and involves various sectors. One of the stunting prevention that can be done as early as possible is by socializing stunting to prospective brides. This community service activity aims to make brides-to-be aware of stunting prevention since the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK). The socialization method was carried out with lectures and questions and answers at the Gandapura KUA Office to 11 pairs of prospective brides. The socialization instrument used infocus, stunting prevention material in the form of power points, leaflets and sound hackers. The socialization was carried out on October 16, 2024 from 09.00 to 11.10, starting with remarks as well as the opening of the event by the Head of the Gandapuran District KUA followed by presentation of material and questions and answers. The service team consists of lecturers and students of the Faculty of Health, Almuslim University. The results of the socialization increased the knowledge of the participants after the socialization was carried out through feedback. Conclusion: prospective brides who take part in socialization know the causes and prevention of stunting since 1000 HPK. Suggestion: it is necessary to carry out similar activities at KUA in other areas to accelerate the reduction and prevention of stunting early on.
