Abstract

Salah satu cara peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas yaitu meningkatkan kompetensi guru. salah satu kompetensi guru yang pelu ditingkatkan berkaitan dengan pembelajaran di kelas yaitu menciptakan pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif. Kurangnya kemampuan Guru SMP di Kecamatan Semitau Kapuas Hulu dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran, membuat guru perlu dibekali dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam membuat media pembelajaran IPA. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama satu hari dengan memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam membuat media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis HTML 5 dengan Articulate Storyline, pelatihan diikuti oleh 25 orang guru dari dua sekolah yang ada di kecamatan Semitau, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu, yakni SMPN 1 Semitau dan SMPN 2 Semitau, kegiatan di laksanakan di laboratorium komputer SMPN 1 Semitau. Hasil pengabdian didapatkan skor rata-rata prates peserta adalah 60,68 dan postest sebesar 90,54 dari hasil tersebut guru dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru dapat menhgikuti dan memahami tentang materi yang di dampaikan narasumber. Diharapkan hasil yang didapatkan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu guru – guru SMP dapat mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif yang dapat dipakai pada pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

Abstrak:Melimpahnya sumber daya alam sebagai potensi lokal berupa limbah rumah tangga, limbah pertanian dan tumbuhan yang dapat dijadikan bahan pembuatan pakan ikan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan rumah tangga dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Potensi tersebut belum dikelola dengan baik karena masyarakat kurang mengetahui nilai manfaatnya serta kurangan pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk mengembangkan usaha perikanan dan pembuatan pakan alternatif dari bahan baku lokal, padahal peluang usahanya menjanjikan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan dan ekonomi masyarakat. Tujuan PKM ini adalah memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan serta keterampilan kepada masyarakat tentang sumber daya lokal yang dapat dikelola menjadi pakan alternatif bagi ikan. Metode PKM yang digunakan berupa penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Hasil PKM ini bahan alternatif pembuatan pakan dari limbah rumah tangga seperti; air cucian beras, limbah sayuran, limbah buah-buahan dan dari limbah ertanian berupa dedak halus dari sekam serta limbah industri dan pasar seperti kepala ikan teri dan ampas tahu. Tumbuh-tumbuhan yang dapat dijadikan campuran bahan pakan seperti; Umbi-umbian, rebung, bongol pisang, kelor, kelapa, eceng gondok.  Kata Kunci: Pakan Alternatif, Potensi Lokal, Perikanan.

Abstract

Abstract: Biology is a material that requires an understanding of students' learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the effect of the JiRQA learning model on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at Yoseph Khatulistiwa Middle School and Nusantara Indah Sintang Middle School. This research was a quantitative approach with a weak experiment design method. The population was all class VIII students at Yoseph Khatulistiwa Middle School and Nusantara Indah Sintang Middle School, consisting was 29 students, 16 students at Yoseph Khatulistiwa Middle School and 13 students at Nusantara Indah Sintang Middle School. The instrument to measure students' learning outcomes is in the form was 20 multiple choice questions. The data obtained was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis in the form of a paired sample t test. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed an increase in the average pretest and posttest scores was 38.62%. The results of inferential statistical analysis show that the significance value for learning outcomes was 0.000 and is greater than alpha 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the implementation of the JiRQA learning model on students' learning outcomes in Biology material. Keywords: JIRQA learning model, learning outcomes, biology learning. Abstrak: Biologi merupakan materi yang memerlukan pemahaman terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran JiRQA terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMP Yoseph Khatulistiwa dan SMP Nusantara Indah Sintang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode weak eksperimen. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Yoseph Khatulistiwa dan SMP Nusantara Indah Sintang yang terdiri dari 29 siswa, 16 siswa SMP Yoseph Khatulistiwa dan 13 siswa di SMP Nusantara Indah Sintang. Instrumen untuk mengukur prestasi belajar siswa berupa 20 soal pilihan ganda. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis inferensial berupa Paired sample t test.. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor pretest dan posttest sebesar 38,62%. Hasil analisis statistik inferensial menunjukkan nilai signifikansi prestasi sebesar 0,000 lebih besar dari alpha 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan model pembelajaran JiRQA terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi Biologi.  Kata kunci: model pembelajaran JIRQA, prestasi belajar, pembelajaran biologi. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i3.pp690-698

Abstract

Penelitian ini mempelajari pengaruh ampas tebu terhadap pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman terong hijau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ampas tebu terhadap pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman terong hijau. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen. Rancangan dalam penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 5 ulangan. Data yang akan diukur tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, jumlah daun dan jumlah buah. Alat pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi dan dokumentasi berupa foto. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Analisis inferensial menggunakan uji anova dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Least Significanca Different (LSD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ampas tebu memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman terong hijau. Pertumbuhan tanaman terong hijau dengan pemberian ampas tebu menghasilkan rata-rata tinggi tanaman (27,8), panjang daun (20,77), jumlah daun (11 helai) dan jumlah buah (8 buah). Hasil ini diperkuat dengan analisis sidik ragam yaitu , dimana tinggi tanaman (33,38˃2,87), panjang daun (33,39˃2,87), jumlah daun (41,89˃2,87) dan jumlah buah (32˃2,87). Selanjutnya, Uji Least Significanca Different (LSD) menunjukkan bahwa ampas tebu perlakuan keempat (1500 gram) berpengaruh optimal terhadap pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman terong hijau.Kata Kunci: Ampas tebu, pertumbuhan, produktivitas, terong hijau

Abstract

The Banuaka' Taman Kapuas community in Sayut Village, South Putusibau District, Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan Province has traditional knowledge about the use of animals in the Manyarung ritual ceremony that has never been documented in writing. This study aims to document the types of animals, the parts of the animals used, the methods of utilization, and the symbolic meanings of the animals in the Manyarung ceremony within the Banuaka’ Taman Kapuas community. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method using survey techniques. Data collection tools consist of interview sheets, and data analysis is conducted using a qualitative approach. The results of this study are that there are 11 species of animals used in the Manyarung ceremony. All parts of the animal's body are used in the ritual. Methods of use include boiling, grilling, frying, fermenting, and cutting into several pieces in a fresh/raw condition. The symbolic meaning of 7 animals as food that should not be eaten (taboo) by the balien (shaman) during the period of treating the sick, and 4 animals have the meaning of a means to summon the spirits of the ancestors so that they can come to the ceremony.

Abstract

The human digestive system is one of the materials taught to junior high school students. This research purpose was to determine the gender-based contextual (CTL) effect on biology students cognitive learning outcomes. This research used quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Data analysis used descriptive statistical and inferential statistics. The analysis results show that there was significant effect of using the CTL learning model on students' cognitive learning outcomes on the human digestive system material with sig value was 0.000>0.05. Regarding gender, there is no significant effect on cognitive learning outcomes on the human digestive system material with sig value was 0.764>0.05. There is no significant effect of the interaction of learning models and gender on cognitive learning outcomes on the human digestive system material with sig value was 0.960>0.05. Abstract

Kemantan (Mangifera torquenda Kosterm) is a local fruit found in West Kalimantan which is rarely studied and is well known to many people. Kemantan is a genus with mango. Mango is one of the leading tropical fruits favored by people in the world. Mango is also famous for its content of multi vitamin, antioxidants, and many other nutritional content. Bay leaves (Eugenia polyantha) contain essential oils (citral, eugenol), tannins and flavonoids. Unfortunately, so far these two plants have only been consumed traditionally so they are boring and the rest is thrown away, therefore researchers want to use these plants to make fruit syrup. The research method was an experiment with a completely randomized design consisting of 1 treatment and 5 levels of bay leaf addition denoted by the letter (S). The materials used in this study for the manufacture of the product consisted of kemantan fruit, bay leaves, granulated sugar, CMC, and other. The steps: first, making bay leaf extract, second, making kemantan fruit syrup. Organoleptic test to provide an assessment of color, aroma, taste, texture, thickness, preference and overall with the rating format 5-1. Data analysis was carried out using the ANOVA method and the results were significantly different followed by the LSD test. The results showed that the best treatment for kemantan syrup products was S0 for color and aroma assessment. While the treatment for taste, thickness, texture, preference and overall assessment was S1. Kemantan syrup with the addition of bay leaves has a significant effect on texture parameters, very significant effect on color, taste, thickness, preference and overall and no significant effect on aroma

Abstract

Students' critical thinking skills greatly influence the mindset of students in the 5.0 era. This research aims to determine the critical thinking skills on biology material through the JiRQA learning model. This research used a quasi-experimental method. The population is all students of SMP Nusantara and students of SMP Yosep Khatulistiwa Sintang. The samples were students in class VIII A and VIII B at SMP Nusantara and SMP Yosep Khatulistiwa Sintang, totaling 92 students. The instrument for measuring critical thinking skills is in the form was 8 essay questions. Data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis. The descriptive statistical analysis results showed that there was an increase in the mean pretest and posttest scores for both the experimental class and the control class. The inferential statistical analysis results show that the significance value of critical thinking skills is 0.000 and greater than alpha 0.05 so, it can be concluded that there was a significant influence of implementing learning strategies using JiRQA learning model on students' critical thinking skills in biology material.

Abstract

The people of Emparu Baru Village still maintain local wisdom, including the traditional use of herbs and spices as cooking spices. However, this local wisdom is still passed down orally and has not been documented in writing. This study aims to identify and document the diversity of spice plants used by the Dayak Desa community in Emparu Baru Village, Dedai District, Sintang Regency. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with an ethnobotanical approach. The results show that the Dayak Desa people possess extensive knowledge of various types of local spice plants, including rhizomes, leaves, tubers, fruits, seeds, and others. This traditional knowledge not only plays an important role in maintaining the resilience of local species but also holds great potential to be developed as a valuable source of information for efforts to conserve plant biodiversity. Based on the ethnobotanical study of spice plants, it can be concluded that there are 42 plant species from 25 families used as spices for cooking. These spices are derived from various plant parts, including fruits, stems, seeds, flowers, leaves, young leaves, bark, rhizomes, tubers, bulbs, and shoots.
