Abstract

The purpose of this case report is to report a case of clinical mastitis in dairy cattle in Batu. One case was reported on this period. Anamnesis was carried out, the owner revealed that the cow did not produce milk and when milking the udderand nipples felt hard and the milk that wanted to come out seemed to be stuck. Physical examination was carried out, cow’s weight ±400 kg, body temperature 38.4 °C, the udder and nipple were swollen and inflamed, and decrease of milk production, mammae showed reddish and asymmetrical and painful when palpate. Based on the history and physical examination of the cow, it can be concluded that the cow was diagnosed with clinical mastitis with a fausta prognosis and the differential diagnosis was mammary tumour. The therapy given in this case was injection of the antibioticInterspectin-L® 10 ml, the anti-inflammatory and antipyretic Tolfedine® 10 ml intramuscularly.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Kelompok Ternak Sumber Rejeki yang berada di Desa Ngronggo Kecamatan Kota Kediri merupakan kelompok ternak baru beberapa tahun berdiri. Kondisi terbentuknya kelompok ternak ini adalah akan kesadaran masyarakat serta arahan dari Dinas Peternakan setempat untuk melakukan mobilisasi penghimpunan kemudahan pengarahan dalam memberikan bantuan baik secara fisik maupun non fisik. Namun karena fasilitas kelompok serta pengetahuan akan manajemen beternak yang minim menyebabkan kurang berkembang secara signifikan jumlah peternakan domba dan kambing daerah tersebut, sering terjadi para peternak rakyat melakukan budidaya tapi tanpa mendapatkan hasil yang berarti meskipun potensi yang ada sangat cukup besar. Tujuan: Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk menambah keilmuan kepada masyarakat agar supaya dapat menjadi bekal dalam budidaya ternak secara baik dan benar serta menjadi kebaikan secara meteriil kepada kelompok ternak masyarakat. Metode: Metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menitik beratkan akan sistem manajemen pemeliharaan serta pengetahuan akan manajemen reproduksi dasar pada ternak domba dan kambing. Hasil: Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini masyarakat menjadi tahu bagaimana akan budidaya yang baik serta menejemen tentang reproduksi ternak domba & kambing guna mendapatkan keuntungan secara materiil. Kesimpulan: Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini merupakan kegiatan yang bermanfaat banyak kepada masyarakat dan serta harus dilakukan secara berkala di tengah masyarakat yang secara background jauh dari lingkungan peternakan, termasuk kegiatan berupa bimtek bagaimana memanfaatkan hijauan di tengah musim kemarau guna memastikan kualitas kebutuhan pakan ternak tetap terjaga.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effectiveness of red betel leaf extract ointment against incision wounds in white rats. The tannin and saponin compounds found in red betel leaf extract function to stimulate the formation of collagen which plays a role in the wound healing process. This study used an experimental research method with the test materials being 21 male white rats (Rattus norvegicus), red betel leaf extract on wound adhesions, the total number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin in white rats due to incision wounds, divided into 3 treatment groups with 7 samples. The results of the mean value of wound attachment in the groups P0 18 ± 0.5, P1 8.5 ± 0.4 and P2 6.5 ± 0.0. The mean results of erythrocyte values in the P0 group were 6.16 ± 0.90a, P1 6.46 ± 0.45a, and P2 6.20 ± 0.63a. and the results of the mean hemoglobin values in the P0 group 11.8 ± 1.1a , P1 12.3 ± 0.7a , and P2 12.1 ± 1.2a . The results of the study showed that the administration of red betel leaf extract ointment (Piper crocatum) on wound attachment had a significant effect at a concentration of 45%, because it was believed that red betel leaf extract ointment could increase peristaltic movements. While the total number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin due to incision wounds in white rats (Rattus norvegicus) there was no significant difference.

Abstract

Kediri is a densely populated city that has problems regarding livestock. The problems that are often experienced are the land for raising livestock and the availability of feed. Raising rabbits is one of the ways used by the Sumber Rejeki livestock group in Kediri. Rabbits can digest various types of feed, so that it can facilitate the maintenance process, especially in the Kediri area which utilizes local feed resources. Rabbits have good potential and can be superior in terms of reproduction and production. The hope is that with rabbit cultivation, group members will be able to improve the economy and nutritional value of the family or the wider community. Constraints that are often experienced by rabbit breeders are the number of puppies that are relatively low in each period, the mortality rate is quite high in puppies and adult rabbits due to frequent bloating and diarrhea, and the lack of information about the local waste that can be used as feed for rabbits. Lack of knowledge in preparing rations for rabbits at each different phase, and lack of knowledge about online marketing. The solution that is expected is to carry out training on proper rabbit cultivation, pregnancy checks, counseling on handling forage, and training members of livestock groups to prepare rabbit rations. Additional provision of complete feed ingredients for rabbits supplemented with cabbage leaves, moringa leaves, and sengon leaves as well as pollard, rice bran, copra meal, soybean meal, drops, and mineral salts. And don't forget to teach marketing of their products in the form of rabbits and biscuits for rabbits online in electronic media and market places. The resulting outputs include increasing the number of children in the next period, reducing the mortality rate of rabbits, and making biscuit-shaped feed so that it is easier to bite and can be consumed by other rodents. This feed product will later be referred to as rabbit bio supplement biscuits. Making rations for weaning rabbits and brooders.

Abstract

Pemeriksaan golongan darah kucing merupakan hal penting sebagai salah satu screening awal jika ingin melakukan transfusi darah pada kucing. Transfusi darah dilakukan pada pasien yang membutuhkan atau dalam keadaan darurat seperti anemia berat, infeksi parasit darah, atau dalam keadaan traumatik yang menyebabkan adanya pendarahan hebat. Transfusi darah dapat meningkatkan prosentase keselamatan pasien yang menderita kejadian tersebut. Pada saat transfusi darah, wajib menyiapkan pendonor dan resipien yang sudah terseleksi dengan ketat, antara lain dalam keadaan sehat, bebas parasit darah, bebas infeksi Feline Immunodeficiency Virus dan Feline Leukimia Virus, dan indoor life.
