Abstract

Kegiatan PPMU-PPUPIK Perbenihan Kultur Jaringan Anggrek pada Teaching Industry Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS) bertujuan untuk mempercepat proses pengembangan budaya kewirausahaan, mendorong berkembangnya budaya pemanfaatan hasil riset UNHAS bagi masyarakat, dan menunjang otonomi kampus melalui perolehan pendapatan mandiri atau bermitra. Dalam pencapaian tujuan jangka panjangnya, kegiatan ini dalam jangka pendek bertujuan untuk memberikan kesempatan dan pengalaman kerja kepada mahasiswa, dan membantu menciptakan akses bagi terciptanya wirausaha baru. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dilakukan kegiatan perbanyakan semaian biji dan bibit anggrek spesies/hibrida di laboratorium, dan pelatihan tentang teknik kultur jaringan skala rumah tangga dimana diajarkan tentang penyederhanaan teknik kultur jaringan tanaman sehingga dapat dilakukan pada skala rumah tangga. Kegiatan laboratorium dan pelatihan dilaksanakan di Teaching Industry UNHAS dan bermitra dengan pengusaha tanaman hias lokal yang berada di Makassar yang memiliki kebun anggrek di Bulu Dua, Kabupaten Barru. Produksi (production planning) yang dilakukan adalah semaian bibit botol/semai biji anggrek disubkultur dan dilakukan pemeliharaan sampai menjadi dewasa dan siap untuk aklimatisasi. Kemudian planlet yang telah diaklimatisasi dirawat dan dipelihara di screen house sampai menjadi anggrek dewasa yang siap jual ke pasaran. Selain itu planlet yang diperbanyak di laboratorium juga telah dipasarkan. Hasil penjualan anggrek yang paling digemari konsumen adalah Seedling Dendrobium dan Phalaenopsis Hibrida serta anggrek Macodes. Pelatihan kultur jaringan sederhana dilakukan dengan pengenalan budidaya anggrek dan teknik kultur jaringan sederhana, perakitan alat kultur jaringan sederhana, praktek teknik kultur jaringan dimulai dari pembuatan media, penanaman, sampai pada aklimatisasi. Dari hasil pelatihan yang dilaksanakan dapat disimpukan bahwa kultur jaringan tidak mahal dan rumit, serta dapat disederhanakan dengan teknik-teknik yang mudah dipahami peserta.Kata kunci: anggrek, kultur jaringan sederhana, pelatihan, perbenihan

Abstract

Sebuah kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan petani terhadap teknologi budidaya permakultur dan penggunaan benih bermutu dalam mendukung peningkatan produksi tanaman. Mitra pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah Kelompok Tani Sandang dan Kelompok Tani Bukit Soe Desa Pamboborang. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah dalam bentuk penyuluhan kepada mitra petani. Penyuluhan dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu, tanggal 11 Januari 2025 di Desa Pamboborang, Kecamatan Banggae, Kabupaten Majene dengan materi terkait teknologi permakultur dan pengenalan karakter dan peran serta manfaat benih bermutu dalam budidaya tanaman pangan dan hortikultura. Penyuluhan yang dilaksanakan mendapatkan respon yang positif dari kelompok tani mitra dan memberikan manfaat berupa peningkatan pengetahuan tentang teknologi budidaya permakultur yang meliputi implementasi budidaya tanaman di pekarangan dengan cara yang ramah lingkungan. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan mitra tentang pentingnya menggunakan benih bermutu dari varietas unggul untuk mengoptimalkan produksi tanaman di lahan pertanian baik dalam skala rumah tangga di pekarangan untuk para petani wanita maupun dalam skala yang lebih besar di kebun.    Kata kunci: Benih bermutu, penyuluhan, permakultur, ramah lingkungan. ABSTRACT A community service activity was carried out to increase farmers' knowledge of permaculture cultivation technology and the use of high-quality seeds to support increased crop production. The partners in this community service activity were the Sandang Farmer Group and the Bukit Soe Farmer Group. The method used was a lecture in the form of an extension program for the farmer partners. The extension activities were held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, in Pamboborang Village, Banggae Sub-district, Majene District, covering topics related to permaculture technology and an introduction to the characteristics, roles, and benefits of high-quality seeds in the cultivation of food crops and horticultural plants. The extension activities received a positive response from the farmer groups. They provided benefits in the form of increased knowledge about permaculture cultivation technology, including the implementation of crop cultivation in backyard gardens using environmentally friendly methods. Additionally, the partners gained knowledge about the importance of using high-quality seeds from superior varieties to optimize crop production on agricultural land, both on a household scale in backyard gardens for female farmers and on a larger scale in orchards. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of a concentration of 2,4-D added to the Murhasige and Skoog (MS) basic media on porang callus induction and the effect on various explant sources. The study was conducted in the form of experiments in the Laboratory of Bioscience and Plant Reproduction Biotechnology, Department of Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University from August to December 2021. The experiments were based on a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) pattern arranged in a factorial way with two treatment factors. The first factor was the concentration of 2,4-D consisting of five levels of treatment: without 2,4-D (0.0 mg L-1), 0.5 mg L-1, 1.0 mg L-1, 1.5 mg L-1, and 2.0 mg L-1. The second factor was the source of explants consisting of three levels: the petiole, leaf midrib, and leaf blade. The results after five months showed that the interaction between the concentration of 2.0 mg L-1 2,4-D with the petiole explants had the best effect on callus induction time (12.25 days) and callus weight (2.97 g). The concentration of 2.0 mg L-1 2,4-D had the best influence on the callus induction percentage (83.33%), and petiole-derived explants had the best influence on the callus induction percentage (91.67%). Administration of 2,4-D at a concentration of 2.0 mg L-1 and the petiole-derived explant gave the best results in this study; therefore, it is expected to be applied to the development of porang plant seeds in vitro.

Abstract

There are numerous kinds of chilies, and many have a specialty and specific growing location, such as the katokkon chili, which is specific to Toraja Highland, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. This small bell-chili pepper-shaped chili has a distinctive capsicum aroma and a short burning sensation of hot chili's strong spicy taste. This research aims to study the relationship of the genetic kinship of katokkon chili from Toraja and its surrounding regency (Enrekang and Mamasa regencies) using ISSR molecular markers, which are expected to be used as basic information in genetic resource management. Inter Simple Sequences Repeat (ISSR) markers are used for the molecular analysis of 26 katokkon accessions. The result shows that katokkon chili analyzed have a relatively high heterozygosity value of 0.488. The average heterozygosity value is 0.5. Hence, the genetic diversity in these districts is comparatively high. The katokkon chili accession is grouped into three main clusters, each comprising various samples. Only clusters II and III have a close relationship. Information on the genetic diversity based on ISSR can be used as a molecular marker to support further research on the breeding and development of katokkon chili plants and their accession.

Abstract

Penerapan teknologi drip fertigasi pada Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) dilakukan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air, waktu, dan tenaga kerja dalam pemeliharaan di kebun sayuran. Teknologi drip fertigasi (penyiraman dan pemupukan secara tetes dan bersamaan) sebagai upaya mengatasi dampak negatif perubahan iklim (kekeringan) yang banyak dialami oleh kelompok tani termasuk KWT Selasih. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan, wawasan, dan keterampilan mitra mengenai teknologi drip fertigasi agar produksi dan kualitas sayuran meningkat. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga membekali mitra dengan keterampilan pengolahan bahan organik menjadi pupuk kompos dan pupuk organik cair (POC), pengenalan ecoenzim, dan sistem pertanaman secara permakultur. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berlangsung sejak September-November 2025 di KWT Selasih, Kelurahan Bangkala, Kecamatan Manggala, Kota Makassar. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang budidaya sayuran menggunakan drip fertigasi berbasis gravitasi. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan 50% dari anggota KWT sudah memiliki pengetahuan tentang apa yang dimaksud dengan teknologi drip fertigasi serta manfaatnya dalam budidaya tanaman sayuran. Bahkan 75% dari anggota KWT sudah mengetahui bahwa penggunaan teknologi drip fertigasi dapat meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air, dan hampir semua anggota KWT sudah bisa membedakan antara teknologi drip fertigasi dengan metode penyiraman tradisional. Setelah penyuluhan, pengetahuan anggota KWT terkait teknologi drip fertigasi meningkat dengan menunjukkan jawaban 100% benar. Kegiatan ini juga menempatkan seperangkat teknologi drip fertigasi berbasis gravitasi di kebun mitra. Informasi kegiatan ini juga telah tersebar melalui media online dan channel Youtube.    Kata kunci: Drip fertigasi, pertanian perkotaan, kelompok wanita tani, sayuran.   ABSTRACT The application of drip-fertigation technology in the Women Farmers Group (KWT) was carried out to improve the efficiency of water use, time, and labor in maintaining vegetable gardens. Drip-fertigation technology (watering and fertilizing simultaneously) is an effort to overcome the negative impacts of climate change (drought) which is widely experienced by farmer groups including KWT Selasih. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge, insight, and skills of partners regarding drip-fertigation technology to increase vegetable production and quality. In addition, this activity also equips partners with skills in processing organic materials into compost and liquid organic fertilizer (POC), an introduction to ecoenzymes, and permaculture planting systems. This community service activity took place from September to November 2025 at KWT Selasih, Bangkala Village, Manggala District, Makassar City. This activity succeeded in increasing knowledge and skills about vegetable cultivation using gravity-based drip-fertigation. Pre-test results showed that 50% of KWT members already had knowledge about what is meant by drip fertigation technology and its benefits in vegetable cultivation. In fact, 75% of KWT members already know that using drip fertigation technology can increase water efficiency, and almost all KWT members can differentiate between drip fertigation technology and traditional watering methods. After the extension, KWT members' knowledge of drip fertigation technology increased, with 100% of the answers being correct. This activity also included the placement of a gravity-based drip-fertigation technology kit in partner gardens. Information about this activity has also been disseminated through online media and YouTube channels.   Keywords: Drip-fertigation, urban farming, vegetables, women farmer groups.
