This study aims to determine carbon emissions in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations-6 (ASEAN-6) in achieving Sustainable Development Goals using the Kuznet environmental curve analysis approach. Used panel data regression method with carbon emissions as a dependent variable and Gross Domestic Product per capita, Squared Gross Domestic Product per capita, population, energy consumption and Sustainable Development Goals as independent variables. Used panel data from 2009-2018, samples taken from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. Results are the suitable random effect model, with per capita Gross Domestic Product and energy consumption having a positive and significant effect on carbon emissions. In contrast, the squared Gross Domestic Product Per capita, population and Sustainable Development Goals have a negative and significant impact on carbon emissions. The Environmental Kuznet curve hypothesis has been proven in this area, although only Singapore has reached a turning point, so  ASEAN-6 will still experience in carbon emissions increase. For this reason, ASEAN-6 needs to implement sustainable development policies, family planning, environmentally friendly energy development, and coordination and seriousness in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.

Abstract

The enactment of Article 4 of Law No. 33 of 2014 in 2024 in Indonesia, resulted in micro, small and medium enterprises being required to have a halal certificate. This policy brings significant changes to business operators, because if they cannot fulfil their obligations will result in sanctions in the form of a ban on the circulation of their products in Indonesian territory. This Community Service aims to enhance partners' knowledge and understanding of halal certification. However, to achieve more optimal results, the partners are also provided with materials on the impact of halal certification on the acceleration of business growth and development. This activity was conducted using the counselling method to micro, small, and medium enterprises at Azalea Grand Depok City. This Community Service has been carried out successfully, as it was able to increase the partners' knowledge and understanding of consumption, halal products, and welfare by an average of 87.67 percent. In the next implementation, the duration of the meeting should be longer and continuous with a theme that can improve business with Islamic behaviour, as well as conducting comparative studies to business centres that apply Islamic principles.

Abstract

In globalization era, every country has the opportunity to increase its exports. Indonesia as one of the ASEAN member countries, participates in the ASEAN Economic Community. In winning the competition in the AEC market, Indonesia implements a strategy of prioritizing its exports to large importing countries of products from Indonesia. Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Philippines are the four largest export destinations of Indonesia in the ASEAN member. However, the government also needs to pay attention to several macroeconomic indicators of the country, such as Gross Domestic Product per capita, exchange rates, and interest rates that can affect the demand for Indonesia's export destinations in ASEAN member countries. Aims of this study is to determine the determination of Indonesia's exports to ASEAN-4. The study used panel data in 2012-2021 from ASEAN-4, which came from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Philippines. This study was conducted using panel data regression method, using exports as the dependent variable and Gross Domestic Product per capita, exchange rate, and interest rate as dependent variable. The appropriate method used in this study is common effect model. This research obtained the results that Gross Domestic Product per capita and exchange rates have a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's exports to ASEAN-4.
