Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana bentuk personal branding pustakawan di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Bengkulu dalam upaya untuk membentuk citra yang positif terhadap profesi pustakawan dan perpustakaan dan juga berupaya untuk meningkatkan kunjungan pemustaka ke perpustakaan melalui personal branding yang dilakukan oleh pustakawan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan rancangan bersifat kualitatif yang diperoleh dengan wawancara dan observasi terhadap informan. Metode purposive sampling digunakan untuk memperoleh informan dalam penelitian ini dengan mengambillima informan yang sesuai dengan pertimbangan tersebut. Periode penjaringan data pada penelitian ini dimulai dari bulan Maret sampai Juni 2020. Peneliti menggunakan teori pedoman pembentukan personal branding oleh Peter Montoya yang terdapat delapan aspek kemudian membandingkan dengan personal branding yang ditampilkan oleh informan yang didapat melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan dari kelima informan hanya satu informan yang menerapkan delapan aspek pembentukan personal branding dari Peter Montoya.

Abstract

In the digital era which is increasingly developing rapidly, access to information and knowledge is no longer limited by time and space. Digital transformation, which involves converting physical data into digital format, has changed the way people access information, especially in managing audiovisual collections in national libraries. The aim of this research is to find out the steps in managing audiovisual collections in national libraries. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Research activities were carried out at the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. These results provide an understanding and explanation of the steps in managing audiovisual in the current digital era through the stages of checking library materials, inventory, classification, cataloging and other completeness such as adding labeling and tagging in managing audiovisual collections and with the advancement of technology this opens up opportunities for more efficient and easily accessible collection management, but on the other hand, this also raises various new challenges in terms of preservation, security, and copyright.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe and ppreciate various efforts that have been done by the Indoneian government to design the prevention and eradication of to distribution of false information (hoaks), such as (i) Rules of informtion laws and electronic transaction (UU ITE) which gives smoe santions for internet users who distribute negative content and hoaks ; and (ii) release a communication and information ministry regulation number 19 of 2014 about blocking and screening sites and developing a system “TRUST” + Positive” system which the system provides a list of negatively charged sites, but this article also provides a critical note to note from both of it. This paper also emphasize that there are still many thinsg tht can be considered to improve the effectiveness of prevention digital literacy for the community. Reading very rapid and limitless information and tools communication used to obtain such information through digital literacy.

Abstract

The existence of useful and accounted sources of information generally are available in the library. Teenagers should be suggested to visit the library regularly. Efforts to lead teenagers to use the village library must be taken seriously by librarians. This research aims to explain how to increase the interest in reading through the village library of Kerano Kuncoro to overcome the online game trend. This research uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were village library officer Kerano Kuncoro and library users that also a student. The Data collection methods use interview and observant data. The data is analyzed qualitatively through the stages of data collection, data reduction, presentation of data, and withdrawal of conclusions. The results obtained are: 1) the condition of the Kerano Kuncoro library room is quite comfortable for the library users; 2) the library collection is quite complete and diverse; 3) library officials are very cooperative with library users; 4) there is free wi-fi services; 5) teenagers are motivated to visit the village library regularly. Increased interest in reading through the village library to overcome the online game trend is vital. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, the average number of visitors per day was between 25 and 30. An average daily visit of at least 2 hours will automatically reduce their time to play online game. Researchers suggest the need for cooperation between the village library and the village government to organize a unique and exciting program; the village library should continue to try to complement and provide up-to-date collections.

Abstract

Reflective Thinking Skills are important for students to have. However, in reality, learning of Social Sciences on Digestive Organs Material has not implemented Reflective Thinking skills because it is still constrained in reading and reasoning is still lacking, especially if students are faced with problems related to thinking skills. In this learning, the lecture and question and answer methods are still used so that the learning process is still centered on the teacher and students are less active. This study aims to determine how the influence of the PBL Model Using Pop Up Book media on students' Reflective Thinking skills on the material of human digestive organs of grade V students and How the Response of Students' Reflective Thinking skills after the implementation of learning. This study uses a Quantitative Descriptive research method implemented at SDN SEDATI GEDE II Sidoarjo. The data collection instruments used in this study were Pretest-Postest and Student Reflective Thinking Response Questionnaire, The results showed an average N-Gain in experimental class 1 (V-A) of 0.82 with a high category. And in experimental class 2 (V-B) an N-Gain value of 0.72 was obtained with a high category. The difference is caused by the level of student understanding, as well as student readiness in capturing learning. While the results of the Reflective Thinking Response of experimental class 1 (V-A) were 76% and class (V-B) were 67%. The conclusion of this study shows that there is an influence of Reflective Thinking using the PBL learning model. It is hoped that students will get used to solving the problems they face. This is supported by the results of the Pre-post test and the results of the Reflective Thinking Response. Thus, learning becomes more active and interesting for students.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Elsa Speak application as a learning media to improve students’ English-speaking skills in the extra class at MA Al-Bairuny. The research used a quasi-experimental design with two groups: an experimental group taught using the AI-based Elsa Speak application, and a control group taught without the application. The research began with a pre-test to assess students’ speaking abilities. The average pre-test score of the experimental group was 57.33, while the control group had an average of 61.67. During the treatment, the experimental group practiced speaking using Elsa Speak, which offers features such as pronunciation analysis and instant feedback. The control group continued learning through traditional methods without the application. After the treatment, a post-test was conducted. The experimental group showed significant improvement with an average score of 70.00, increasing by 12.67 points. Meanwhile, the control group showed only slight progress, with an average post-test score of 62.33, an increase of just 0.67 points. The results indicate that Elsa Speak is effective in improving students’ pronunciation, fluency, and confidence. This research highlights the potential of AI-based technology to enhance the quality of English language education in the digital era.

Abstract

Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) Manunggal merupakan salah satu Sekolah Dasar Negeri yang berada di Desa Manunggal Kecamatan Ngusikan Kabupaten Jombang. SDN Manunggal terdiri dari 155 siswa dan 11 guru. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan oleh tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat di kelas 3 SDN Manunggal memiliki kekurangan inovasi dalam proses belajar-mengajar. Sehingga para siswa cenderung merasa bosan dan tidak bersemangat dalam belajar. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan hanya berupa buku siswa. Media pembelajaran merupakan jembatan yang membantu guru untuk memahamkan materi yang disampaikan kepada siswa. Media pembelajaran bagi siswa sekolah dasar biasanya di bentuk menarik dan mendidik. Media pembelajaran juga berfungsi untuk merangsang minat dan motivasi siswa. Oleh karena itu pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk pendampingan dan penggunaan media pembelajaran Suplsy study with Play untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan pada pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pendekatan pembuatan, sosialisasi, dan implementasi. Metode pendekatan pembuatan, sosialisasi, dan implementasi melibatkan langkah-langkah terstruktur untuk memastikan keberhasilan proyek atau produk.Metode pembuatan adalah cara sistematis untuk merancang dan menghasilkan produk atau solusi. Metode ini dimulai dengan analisis kebutuhan dan penetapan tujuan, kemudian tahap perencanaan, yang mencakup desain dan pemilihan material atau teknologi. Kemudian, proses pembuatan dilakukan sesuai dengan rencana yang telah ditetapkan, memastikan kontrol kualitas yang ketat sepanjang proses. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran SUPLAY Study With Play sangat efektif dan mudah diterimah oleh setiap peserta didik.
