Abstract

The Relationship between Regional Anesthesia and Breastfeeding Smoothness in Post Partum Sectio Caesarea Mothers at Muhammadiyah Hospital GresikBackground: The birth rate by caesarean section method is getting higher. Risk data for 2013 shows the method of birth with the operation method of 9.8 percent of the total 49,603 births during 2010 to 2013. Being in practice the mother must be given anesthetic before the surgery begins. This anesthesia will later affect the pain that will occur after SC.Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between regional anesthetic drugs and the smoothness of breast milk in women born in sectio caesarea at Muhammadiyah Gresik Hospital.Method: Method with Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study mothers who gave birth in a caesarean section at Muhammadiyah Hospital Gresik in December 2019 to January 2020. The sampling technique in this study is probability / random simple sampling. The sample in this study was a portion of mothers who gave birth in a caesarean section at Muhammadiyah Gresik Hospital. The instrument used was primary data collection in the form of questionnaires and secondary data in the form of patient medical records.Result: The data obtained in this study were processed using spearman correlation statistics. From the statistical test the Correlation coefficient value was 0.807, and obtained P-Value equal to 0,000 this value is less than 0.05.Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is a correlation between the administration of a regional anesthetics and the smoothness of breast milk in mothers of post partum caesarea at Muhammadiyah Gresik Hospital.

Abstract

Background: As the center of development and education in West Java, the city of Bandung has faced a waste problem that continues to increase along with increasing population growth. Indeed, there were two tragedies. In 2005 the Leuwigajah landfill exploded and in 2023 the Sarimukti landfill was burned. These tragedies became the climax of the Waste Emergency in the city of Bandung. Methods: By using the Driver, Pressure, State, Impact, Response (DPSIR) framework and the literature research, this study aimed to gain a better understanding of the urban waste problem faced by each region, especially the city of Bandung. Findings: It was found that the government's Response only addresses Pressure and State, while Driving Force and Impact have not yet been addressed. Conclusion: From these results, it is recommended to raise awareness among residents of the city of Bandung through real appeals and persuasions, and to require manufacturers to be responsible for the distribution of their products. Novelty/Originality of this Study: The application of the DPSIR framework to analyze and address waste management emergencies in Bandung, Indonesia. While this method has been applied in various contexts, it has not been specifically tailored to the unique challenges of this region. This approach underscores the importance of addressing both immediate waste management issues and underlying consumer behaviors. It provides a comprehensive strategy that involves the engagement of the government, private sector, and community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and map research in hydrology content. We reviewed 45 articles related to hydrology content published from 2014 to 2024. There are several previous literature review studies analyzing hydrology in engineering. However, we have not found any studies that investigate the projects, topics covered, and benefits of implementing hydrological processes in science education. The research method used was a systematic and bibliometric literature review using VoSviewer with ResearchRabbit database. This study analyzed content characteristics based on publication year, publication type, country of implementation, research approach, education stage, and hydrology content. The findings show that VoSviewer with ResearchRabbit database can be used as a research mapping baseline. In addition, the authors found that hydrological content varies according to the topic discussed, but very few found hydrological studies in the social field, especially education. The benefits of implementing educational hydrology in science education include cognitive benefits, procedural benefits (skills), attitudinal benefits, or a combination of the three benefits.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to create a Problem Based Learning approach integrated with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), especially in the field of Physics. The goal is to improve students' creative thinking skills in learning about temperature and heat. The resulting Student Worksheets will be designed to be valid, practical, and effective. This study involves research and development activities using a 4-D model consisting of the stages of definition, design, development, and dissemination. This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah Kartosentanan in the 2023/2024 academic year. Data collection was carried out through the use of validation sheets, student questionnaires, and test devices. Furthermore, data was collected using the N-Gain formula. PBL-STEM-based student worksheets were considered valid by the media validator with an agreement of 96%, the material validator 89%, and the instrument validator 95%. The feasibility analysis shows that the PBL-STEM-based student worksheets produced are very practical for students to use, as evidenced by the N-Gain results of 0.92 with a high category. This study concludes that the student worksheets developed based on PBL-STEM are valid, practical, and useful in improving students' creative thinking skills

Abstract

Background: Across all age ranges, one in a thousand people is diagnosed with ileus annually. Ileus is categorized into two types, obstructive ileus, and paralytic ileus. Obstructive ileus is a condition where intestinal passage disorder occurs as a result of a mechanical blockage. There are 7,024 obstructive ileus without hernia in Indonesia and 7,059 paralytic ileus cases in 2004.Objective: To understand the comparison of characteristics of obstructive ileus patients.Method: This analytic descriptive research use the cross-sectional method. Samples are diagnosed with ileus based on the laparotomy result from RSUD Dr. Soegiri, Lamongan. The sampling method is total sampling based on 2015-2019 data. The samples were also using secondary data from medical records, from December 2019 to January 2020.Result: Respondents are mostly male with ages 65 years and over, less than ten days treatment duration, 39 minutes in the average length of partial bowel obstruction surgery duration, 42 minutes in the average length of total bowel obstruction surgery duration, less than two days treatment duration before surgery, percentage of ICU admission as high as 51.5 %, and blood transfusion percentage on 6.1%.  There are significant differences in the characteristics of ileus patient’s age (p-value 0,021).Conclusion: Based on this study, it can be concluded that there are differences based on age in the characteristics of partial bowel obstruction and total bowel obstruction on ileus patients, whereas gender, treatment duration, treatment duration before surgery, and surgery duration did not deliver any differences.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance cognitive and psychomotor abilities through outdoor learning, designed and evaluated collaboratively by the learning community within the framework of the Lesson study. The study was conducted on grade X students of MAN Insan Cendekia Bengkulu Tengah. Lesson study was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of the plan, do, and see stages. The "plan" stage is the planning stage to prepare the learning tools and strategies that will be carried out. The "do" stage is the implementation of the learning that has been designed. The "see" stage is a reflection of the learning activities that have been carried out. The instruments used consist of observation sheets and test paper. Data is analyzed by calculating the average percentage of each observation indicator, while cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes are analyzed by calculating the average value obtained. Implementation of the lesson study achieved a percentage score of 100%. Cognitive learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II increased by 20.43%. Meanwhile, psychomotor learning outcomes increased by 26.79%. The ecosystem acts as a direct learning context that does not only present objects of study to be studied but can also facilitate students to develop conceptual understanding and scientific skills simultaneously. Thus, the reflection carried out will encourage teachers to make continuous improvements. The conclusion of this study is that lesson study activities involving the role of the learning community can improve the planning, implementation, and reflection of biology learning outside the classroom, thus having a significant impact on improving students' cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Enhanced Recovery After Cesarean Surgery (ERACS) merupakan pendekatan terbaru dalam manajemen perioperatif yang bertujuan untuk mempercepat pemulihan dan mengurangi rasa nyeri pascaoperasi. Tujuan: Menganalisis perbedaan efektivitas metode anestesi ERACS dan non-ERACS dalam menurunkan nyeri pascaoperasi pada pasien sectio caesarea. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan desain cross-sectional. Sampel terdiri dari 96 pasien post-SC yang dibagi dalam dua kelompok berdasarkan metode anestesi yang diterima, yaitu 48 pasien ERACS (bupivakain intratekal dengan morfin) dan 48 pasien non-ERACS (bupivakain intratekal dengan petidin intramuskular). Tingkat nyeri diukur menggunakan Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) pada jam kedua pascaoperasi. Hasil: Dari hasil analisis uji chi-square menunjukkan bahwa pasien yang menerima metode ERACS mengalami nyeri lebih ringan dibandingkan kelompok non-ERACS (p<0,05). Kesimpulan: Metode anestesi ERACS lebih efektif dalam menurunkan rasa nyeri dan mempercepat pemulihan pasca sectio caesarea dibandingkan dengan metode non-ERACS. Penerapan metode ini dapat menjadi rekomendasi dalam manajemen perioperatif operasi sesar untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan pasien dan mempercepat pemulihan.
