Abstract

The growth of the industrial sector in Indonesia has driven the widespread use of steel structures due to their advantages in strength, construction speed, and cost efficiency. One significant application is in the construction of palm oil mills (PKS), which often face challenging site conditions requiring effective erection planning. However, steel structure erection productivity in PKS projects is frequently hindered by inappropriate work methods and unsystematic time recording. Significant variations in productivity across structural elements and the lack of comparative studies between crane and manual methods create a research gap that needs to be addressed. This study aims to evaluate and compare the productivity of steel structure erection in the Mill Building of a PKS project using crane and manual methods. A quantitative case study approach was applied at PT. Tunggal Yunus Estate, Tapung, Riau, with primary data collected through field observations, interviews, and project documentation. Productivity (kg/hour) was calculated based on the weight and installation duration of each structural element. The results show an average erection productivity of 480.98 kg/hour, with the highest productivity reaching 955.44 kg/hour for main columns and rafters using a crane. In contrast, manual methods for secondary elements such as wind bracing and canopy yielded the lowest productivity at 156.78 kg/hour. These findings confirm that crane methods are more effective for main structural elements, while the use of manual methods should be carefully adapted to site conditions to maintain time-cost efficiency.

Abstract

Urban congestion in rapidly growing cities like Jakarta necessitates efficient, data-driven transportation planning. As part of Indonesia’s efforts to modernize its urban mobility systems, the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) has emerged as a strategic initiative to reduce traffic dependency on private vehicles. While Phase 1 of MRT Jakarta has been operational since 2019, Phase 2 development requires a reliable forecasting framework to anticipate future passenger demand and support infrastructure planning. However, previous studies often rely on macroeconomic projections rather than empirical operational data, leaving a gap in predictive accuracy. This study aims to analyze the influence of MRT Jakarta phase 1 operational data on the prediction of passenger numbers in phase 2 as the basis for evidence-based transportation development planning using a hybrid approach: ARIMA forecasting and multiple linear regression modeling. Primary data were gathered from 125 MRT users via Likert-scale surveys, while secondary data were derived from MRT Jakarta’s operational reports from 2019–2023. Here we show that service quality and multimodal integration significantly increase ridership, while fare levels and poor accessibility negatively affect passenger volume. The ARIMA model, however, shows limited accuracy (R² = 0.164; MAPE = 62.225%), indicating high variability due to pandemic-induced fluctuations. In contrast, regression analysis explains 44.1% of ridership variation, offering a more actionable basis for forecasting. These findings suggest that MRT Phase 2’s success will depend not only on physical expansion but also on improved intermodal integration, user-centered service quality, and competitive fare strategies. The study contributes to transport planning by integrating quantitative modeling with user behavior insights for data-driven infrastructure scheduling.

Abstract

Jalan Raya Narogong merupakan salah satu ruas jalan kolektor primer II di Kota Bekasi yang menghubungkan Kota Bekasi dengan Kabupaten Bogor, namun dikenal sebagai lokasi dengan tingkat kecelakaan lalu lintas yang tinggi. Berdasarkan data IRSMS Polri tahun 2022, tercatat 211 kejadian kecelakaan di ruas ini, menjadikannya sebagai jalan dengan jumlah kecelakaan terbanyak di Kota Bekasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi ketersediaan perlengkapan jalan serta memberikan rekomendasi teknis penataan fasilitas keselamatan pada lokasi rawan kecelakaan. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui analisis data IRSMS yang divalidasi dengan observasi langsung di lapangan, serta perhitungan pembobotan berdasarkan tingkat keparahan korban (meninggal, luka berat, luka ringan) untuk menentukan segmen prioritas evaluasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Segment 5 merupakan segmen dengan tingkat keparahan tertinggi, dengan bobot 92. Pada segmen ini ditemukan kekurangan signifikan dalam perlengkapan jalan seperti rambu peringatan, larangan, dan petunjuk arah. Berdasarkan analisa kebutuhan, direkomendasikan penambahan 15 unit rambu lalu lintas di titik-titik strategis. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam peningkatan keselamatan lalu lintas, khususnya melalui pendekatan berbasis data spasial dan kebutuhan aktual di lapangan. Implikasi penelitian ini penting bagi pemerintah daerah, dinas perhubungan, dan pemangku kebijakan lainnya dalam menyusun program prioritas pengadaan perlengkapan jalan di wilayah rawan kecelakaan.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the costs and duration associated with the erection of steel structures in the Mill Building of PT. Tunggal Yunus Estate Palm Oil Mill, located in Kampar, Riau. The palm oil sector plays a significant role in Indonesia's economy, making the presence of Palm Oil Mills (PKS) essential for palm oil production. Utilizing a quantitative methodology with a case study approach, the study analyzes work volume, equipment and labor productivity, as well as cost and time estimations. Results reveal that the erection period for the steel structure is 40 calendar days, which corresponds with the actual time recorded on-site. The overall cost of erection is IDR 276,075,000.00, resulting in a unit cost of IDR 1,854/kg. Various factors affecting costs and duration include weather conditions, the challenging muddy terrain of the project site, and the coordination among work teams. This study offers valuable insights for the planning and budgeting of future steel construction projects within the palm oil industry.

Abstract

Merak Port is a port that serves ferry services from the Merak-Bakauheni crossing, located in Pulo Merak District, Cilegon City, Banten, Java Island. The port operates 24 hours with ships operating at least 30 units per day out of a total of 65 ships. So that cumulatively for effective ship operation by 46% for 1 year, the purpose of this study is to see the existing operational and financial performance by using profitability ratios namely net profit margin (NPM) and return on investment (ROI) with research methods using descriptive methods comparative and quantitative approach, the evaluation results show that operational performance based on the frequency of ship trips only reaches 77% or as many as 37,515 trips/year from the prevailing operating pattern of 48,960 trips/year, while the financial performance based on profitability ratios seen from the NPM value of 39% and ROI of 84% is greater than the condition of the operating pattern according to the pattern with an NPM value of 35% and ROI of 74% which means that the operating pattern according to the existing schedule is greater than the actual condition, but overall the profitability ratio is still above average or positive value.

Abstract

Proporsi biaya sumberdaya proyek konstruksi berbeda-beda karena proyek konstruksi mempunyai sifat ketidakpastian yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu model proporsi setiap sumber daya manusia, material dan peralatan perlu ditetapkan. Penelitian ini mencoba membuat model matematis proporsi biaya setiap sumber daya bangunan bertingkat terhadap anggaran biaya, durasi dan jumlah lantai. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuat model matematis yang menghubungkan variabel terikat setiap sumber daya manusia (y1), material (y2) dan peralatan (y3) terjadap variabel bebas anggaran biaya (x1), durasi (x2) dan jumlah lantai (x3). Pengumpulan data 44 pekerjaan konstruksi yang sudah selesai dilakukan. Data yang dikumpulkan anggaran biaya, durasi, jumlah lantai, biaya sumber daya, material dan peralatan. Proporsi setiap sumber daya dihitung. Berdasarkan pengolahan data menggunakan spss versi 26 diperoleh model matematika proporsi sumber daya manusia, material dan peralatan. Proporsi rata-rata sumberdaya manusia 51,104%, material 26.35% dan peralatan 13.19%. Implementasi penelitian, pelaku konstruksi mengetahui perkiraan biaya setiap sumber daya pada pekerjaan bangunan gedung.

Abstract

The Banten Provincial Government continues to encourage the involvement of local business actors in procurement of goods and services. This is an effort to encourage job opportunities and economic equality in Banten Province. In 2024, the construction business sector will contribute 11.69 percent to the Banten Province economy. The objectives of this study are: 1) To analyze the distribution of local entrepreneurs' involvement in construction and consulting projects in Banten Province. 2). To determine the level of local entrepreneurs' involvement in construction and consulting projects in Banten Province. 3). constraints that influence the involvement of local entrepreneurs in construction services & consulting services projects in Banten Province. The research method is literature study and in-depth interviews with purposive sampling. The research location is Banten Province. Data analysis is descriptive analysis and the relative importance index (RII) calculation method. Construction Service Business Entities (BUJK) in Banten Province have 2,261 BUJK. The distribution of local business involvement in construction projects is generally concentrated in Tangerang Regency, namely 607 BUJK or 26.847%. Contractor services in Banten Province are 92.26% and Consultant services are 7.74%, where the amount varies in each Regency/City. The level of involvement of local business actors in Banten Province in construction projects is 70.01%. Meanwhile, the involvement of local consultant entrepreneurs is 29.99%. The obstacle for local entrepreneurs not being able to get involved in their own business environment (company domicile) is 60.4% because the work is only controlled by certain individuals and 18.9% stated that local entrepreneurs lack the finances to carry out government projects.

Abstract

Keterlambatan waktu pelaksanaan proyek rumah susun pemerintah masih menjadi permasalahan utama, khususnya di wilayah dengan karakteristik geografis dan sosial-budaya kompleks seperti Papua Barat Daya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi keterlambatan waktu pelaksanaan proyek rumah susun pemerintah di Papua Barat Daya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik survei melalui kuesioner. Data diperoleh dari 150 responden yang terlibat langsung dalam pelaksanaan proyek dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Relative Importance Index (RII). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal merupakan kelompok faktor paling dominan dengan nilai RII rata-rata 0,876, terutama keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dan keterlambatan pengadaan material. Faktor eksternal menempati peringkat kedua dengan nilai RII 0,826, yang dipengaruhi oleh keterbatasan transportasi material dan konflik sosial atau adat. Faktor sosial-budaya serta faktor manajemen dan administrasi juga memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap keterlambatan proyek. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kinerja waktu proyek rumah susun pemerintah di Papua Barat Daya memerlukan pendekatan manajemen proyek yang holistik, adaptif, dan sensitif terhadap kondisi geografis serta sosial-budaya lokal.

Abstract

PT. Darma Sarana Nusa Pratama established the drainage system for the Cendana Marq housing complex in Tangerang. This drainage system was built on previously agricultural land, which has undergone a change in function to residential use. Consequently, the infiltration capacity of rainwater on this land has altered, affecting the volume of runoff directed towards the drainage system. The objectives of this research include planning the drainagesystem for the Cendana Marq housing complex in Curug, Tangerang. This involves designing the drainage network, determining the amount of rainwater runoff, calculating the necessary dimensions for the drainage channels to accommodate the runoff, assessing the required capacity for a retention pond intended for temporary water storage, and identifying the necessary drainage facilities for the Cendana Marq housing system. The study employs a qualitative research methodology. The findings indicate that the dimensions of the tertiary channels range from 0.40 to 0.55 meters, secondary channels from 0.80 to 1.40 meters, and primary channels at 1.50 meters, all leading to a retention pond. The runoff volume generated by the housing development is calculated to be 1.45 m³/s, which will be temporarily held in the retention pond within the residential area. To enable gravity flow, the required embankment height for the Cendana Marq housing complex is 2.10 meters (+7.302) above the village road (+5.402). Prior to the establishment of the housing complex, the river did not overflow during rainfall, with water levels matching the height of the embankment. The inflow to the Afvoer Cantel from the watershed area before the housing development was 0.28 m³/s. The planned drainage system for the Cendana Marq housing complex will manage rainwater runoff through the retention pond and designated channels, allowing for gravity drainage. Thus, the CendanaMarq housing complex in Tangerang is not expected to adversely impact the capacity of the system.

Abstract

This study evaluates and prioritizes construction risks in the Ancol Timur–Pluit elevated toll road project using an integrated likelihood–impact and risk matrix approach. Infrastructure projects in dense urban environments involve high complexity due to technical constraints, land acquisition issues, stakeholder interactions, and environmental limitations that affect project time, cost, and quality performance. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to construction professionals, including engineers, project managers, consultants, and contractors, using purposive sampling. A total of 51 respondents with more than 10 years of experience participated in this study. The analysis adopted a qualitative risk assessment framework based on probability–impact evaluation, where risk prioritization was conducted using likelihood and impact scoring rather than monetary estimation. A five-point Likert scale was applied, and the risk index was calculated as the product of both parameters. The results indicate that land acquisition risks were dominant, with the highest risk index (11,70) associated with delays in land handover. Most risks were categorized as medium to high, emphasizing the importance of early-stage mitigation. This study introduces a phase-based risk dominance perspective to support risk prioritization and decision-making in construction projects. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan memprioritaskan risiko konstruksi pada proyek Jalan Tol Layang Ancol Timur–Pluit menggunakan pendekatan likelihood–impact yang terintegrasi dengan matriks risiko. Proyek infrastruktur di kawasan perkotaan memiliki tingkat kompleksitas tinggi akibat kendala teknis, pembebasan lahan, interaksi pemangku kepentingan, serta keterbatasan lingkungan yang memengaruhi kinerja waktu, biaya, dan mutu proyek. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur kepada praktisi konstruksi yang terdiri atas engineer, manajer proyek, konsultan, dan kontraktor menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sebanyak 51 responden dengan pengalaman lebih dari 10 tahun berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan analisis risiko kualitatif berbasis probability–impact, di mana prioritas risiko ditentukan melalui penilaian likelihood dan impact, bukan evaluasi moneter. Penilaian menggunakan skala Likert lima tingkat dan indeks risiko dihitung sebagai hasil perkalian kedua parameter. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa risiko pembebasan lahan mendominasi dengan nilai indeks tertinggi sebesar 11,70 pada keterlambatan penyerahan lahan. Sebagian besar risiko berada pada kategori sedang hingga tinggi. Penelitian ini memperkenalkan konsep phase-based risk dominance yang menekankan pentingnya fase pra-konstruksi dalam pengelolaan risiko proyek.
