Abstract

In West Java, domestic tourist visits in the past year have decreased by around 42,1% from 2019 to 2020. This is inseparable from the direct impact of the pandemic on the tourism sector. The purpose of this study was to analyze the travel behavior of domestic tourists after the Covid-19 pandemic in West Java. This study uses a descriptive approach with the primary data needed in this study, namely data on tourist characteristics and facts regarding domestic tourist behavior. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 200 respondents who were domestic tourists who had visited regency/cities in West Java in the last two years. The data were processed by statistical descriptive analysis techniques. The characteristics of tourists in this study are described in several aspects, namely demographic aspects, occupational aspects, gender aspects, and educational aspects, and also described tourist activities in several phases (namely the dreaming phase, planning phase, booking phase, experience phase and sharing phase). The pattern of travel behavior of domestic tourists in West Java concerning post-pandemic tourism shows a trend that tourists who are millennials and zillennials are very concerned about cleanliness, health, and security. Tourism stakeholders in West Java need to make natural tourist attractions a primary tourist attraction with cultural and artificial tourist attractions as supporting tourist attractions, and prepare their communities for post-pandemic destination governance. This is to realize safe travel for tourists is a step to restore tourist visits in West Java

Abstract

Competitiveness is still a problem for creative tourism entrepreneurs because the business world is growing following the time especially the uncertain conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the fashion sub-sectors of the creative economy industry that is experiencing business competitiveness problems is the Rajut Binong Bandung Industry Center. The efforts made by the Rajut Binong Jati Bandung Industry Center as the creative tourism business to increase business competitiveness in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic by increasing creativity and innovation. This study aims to analyze how much influence creativity and innovation against creative tourism business competitiveness. This research using a descriptive approach with explanatory survey methods with a total of 71 sample respondents. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression with computer software tools for Statistical Product Service Solutions (SPSS) 24.0 for windows. The results showed the creativity and innovation have a fairly high and high influence on creative tourism business competitiveness. Creative tourism entrepreneurs need to continue to practice creativity by developing and improving new skills and ideas accompanied by strong encouragement or motivation. They also need to continue to innovate products, marketing, business models, and the services provided by the industry need to be developed to be ready to face competition.

Abstract

Kampung wisata merupakan salah satu manifestasi dari pariwisata alternatif yang mampu memberikan nilai tambah terhadap perekonomian masyarakat akar rumput. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi potensi dan prospek Kampung SAE Cibiru dalam mewujudkan kampung wisata di Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan explanatory. Potensi dari Kampung SAE Cibiru saat ini masih memiliki karakteristik dengan mencirikan kawasan perdesaan yang didukung dengan potensi warisan alam berupa kawasan konservasi alam dan lahan sawah abadi atau Lahan Pertanian Pangan Berkelanjutan (LP2B), serta warisan budaya berupa perkampungan tradisional Lembur Saradan dan seni budaya benjang. Dari potensi tersebut, akan menjadi prospek untuk mendukung pengembangan kampung wisata yang dilakukan dengan penerapan konsep budaya Tri Tangtu Dibuana, yaitu : zona buana nyuncung sebagai zona penyangga dengan fungsi kawasan konservasi alam pendukung wisata alam dan agroforestry; zona buana panca tengah sebagai zona pengembang (inti) dengan fungsi pusat wisata yang meliputi wisata kampung tradisional Lembur Saradan, industri rumahan kreatif, dan pendidikan budaya sawah dan agroforestry; serta zona buana larang sebagai zona pendukung dengan fungsi pusat penelitian dan pengelolaan aktivitas kampung wisata.

Abstract

Discussion about educational tourism, not only about student exchange programs or study abroad activities. However, the packaging of education-based tourism activities in a destination is also included in the terminology of educational tourism. This study aims to identify the potential of educational tourist attraction and develop alternative educational tourism programs at UNPAD, Jatinangor. This study uses a method with a qualitative approach, with primary data collection techniques through field surveys and in-depth interviews with the management of UNPAD. Secondary data obtained through literature studies related to previous research and local government policy documents. The collected data is processed using descriptive analysis techniques. The study found that there is a potential educational tourism attraction in the form of 16 faculties which are divided into concentrations of natural and social sciences. Each faculty is supported by adequate amenities and accessibility. The educational tourism development program at UNPAD, Jatinangor is divided into four main programs, including educational tourist attractions development, human resources development, activities development and marketing.

Abstract

Borobudur Highland tourist destination is located in Purworejo Regency, Central Java Province which is managed by the Borobudur Authority Implementing Agency, as stipulated in Presidential Regulation Number 46 of 2017. The purpose of this research is to find out the process mix of the Java Blues and Roots Music Festival event. This research also examines the process mix at the Java Blues and Roots Music Festival event as a branding event for Borobudur Highland tourism destinations. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques of participatory observation, interviews, and documentation. The promotional strategy has been carried out by the management to introduce Borobudur Highland to the wider community through digital and non-digital in the form of advertisements, promotional videos, brochures, books, brochures, leaflets, and events. The organization of the Java Blues and Roots Music Festival event is a step by the manager to promote destinations through events to bring visits to Borobudur Highland. Through research on the process mix at the music festival event, several obstacles were still found regarding venue readiness and evaluation for managers if used as a tourist attraction. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 significantly impacted various sectors, including tourism, leading to restrictions on community activities. This study focuses on the aftermath of the pandemic and explores virtual tourism as a recovery strategy. The authors propose a virtual tourism platform developed using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle, concentrating on the Ciwidey area with attractions like Kawah Putih and Situ Patengan. Qualitative methods were employed, including interviews and documentation studies involving industry, Academia, and government representatives as informants. The Ciwidey area's unique features, characterized by captivating landscapes, were harnessed for virtual tourism content. The author utilized a multimedia approach, incorporating video, text, photos, and sound on a web platform, prioritizing high-quality 360° x 180° videos and drone views. To ensure user satisfaction, the author conducted testing and evaluated navigation ease, cognitive content, information presentation, media integration, artistic aesthetics, and overall functionality. The website, stored on hosting, is accessible globally through the World Wide Web (WWW) in a responsive format, enhancing user experience across different devices. This innovative approach aims to revitalize the tourism sector by offering an engaging virtual experience, adapting to the changing landscape caused by the pandemic.

Abstract

Baros Tourism Village has a variety of tourism potentials managed by the community. Pesona Sampalan Indah is a swimming pool attraction managed by Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDES) in the Baros Tourism Village, Bandung Regency. The purpose of this research is to formulate a tourism business plan for Pesona Sampalan Indah swimming pool attraction by implementing the concept of digital tourism through the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach. New business development is analyzed by using SWOT analysis. SWOT analysis was conducted to determine the condition of internal factors and external factors. This research results in nine strategy formulations that can be implemented by the community and the surrounding environment by utilizing social media as a means of interaction with the operator and visitors themselves. This strategy was implemented to develop a business model for BUMDES in the Baros Tourism Village to be more competitive in generating income and welfare for the people involved.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to examine the domestic tourism market in Serang Regency, focusing on the characteristics, behavior, and typology of tourists that visited the region over the period of 2021-2022. This endeavor is undertaken by the Serang Regency Government to discern the prevailing tourism patterns following the pandemic. Approach This study utilized a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach to accomplish its objectives. A survey was conducted on a sample of 203 respondents using the basic random sampling approach. Most tourists visiting Serang Regency can be classified as dedicated nature tourists. They are motivated to visit coastal locations for social interaction, whereas their motive is to travel to the highlands in Serang Regency for the purpose of seeking novelty and acquiring new knowledge. Tourists tend to prioritize activities that provide relaxation in natural environments. The findings of this research on the tourism market in Serang Regency have significant significance. They can serve as a valuable resource for formulating effective tourism marketing policies and enhancing the development of tourism products in Serang Regency. To evaluate the efficacy of implementing the findings of this study, it is imperative to conduct additional scientific research, such as an examination of the elements that impact tourists' pleasure and decision-making to visit Serang Regency.

Abstract

Pemetaan potensi wisata dan daya tarik wisata di desa wisata seyogiyanya perlu dilakukan sebagai aksesibilitas non fisik atau informasi kepada wisatawan yang berkunjung. Desa Wisata Kertayasa saat ini sudah memiliki pemetaan potensi-potensi daerahnya secara general dan belum memiliki peta sebaran potensi dan daya tarik wisata secara tematik. Maka dari itu tujuan penelitian ini yaitu adalah menginventarisasi dan memetakan potensi wsiata dan daya tarik wisata eksisting. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan participatory action research di mana penelitian ini menekankan kepada kolaborasi aktor dan peneliti untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat. Di mana informan pada penelitian ini dipilih secara purposive snowball sampling dengan memilih informan kunci terlebih dahulu, yaitu tokoh masyarakat seperti LPMD Kertayasa, Kepala Desa Kertayasa, dan BUMDES Guha Bau. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa potensi alam dan biohayati Desa Wisata Kertayasa terdiri dari dua potensi alam yang dapat dikembangkan seperti Guha Bau dan Bendungan Merjan, tujuh potensi budaya, tiga daya tarik wisata alam dengan daya tarik wisata alam primernya yaitu Green Canyon, dan tiga daya tarik wisata budaya dengan daya tarik wisata budaya primernya yaitu Angklung Mang Koko. Di mana potensi dan daya tarik wisata eksisting tersebut tersebar pada lima dusun dari total tujuh dusun yang ada. Penting untuk disampaikan bahwa fokus pengembangan Desa Wisata Kertayasa masih berada pada dua dusun yang menjadi titik daya tarik wisata primer Green Canyon. Sehingga ke depan perlu ada inovasi produk wisata yang nantinya dapat menyebarkan pola perjalanan wisatawan di desa wisata tersebut.

Abstract

This study investigates the preference and motviations of Generation Z tourist in river enviromnets, with focul on West Java, Indonesia. Using a structured survey approach targeting 140 respondents, the research findings indicate that recreational motivations and connection with nature are central to visitor satisfaction, complemented by infrastructure quality and tranquility. Statistical analysis revealed strong interconnections between the factors influencing activity choices and the quality of visitor experiences, providing deeper insight into what drives satisfaction in river environments.. The study underscores the potential of river-based tourism to integrate environmental, cultural, and economic objectives while addressing sustainability challenges. Future research should explore longitudinal studies and expanded cultural contexts to further optimize tourism strategies.
