Abstract

From the results of direct observations carried out on March 6, 2022, it was found that the teacher still taught students only by using the lecture, question and answer, and assignment methods. Then the learning environment that only takes place in the classroom makes learning boring. These methods tend to make students unable to make connections between what is learned and how that knowledge is used. This can be seen from the learning outcomes of social studies subject matter that need to be improved. To improve social studies learning outcomes through the application of visual learning models to students of class V A even Semester at MI Tarbiyatul Islam. This study aims to improve social studies learning outcomes through the application of visual media-assisted contextual learning models for even semester V A grade students at MI Tarbiyatul Islam Kandang Jati Kulon in the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were students of class V A MI Tarbiyatul Islam Kandang Jati Kulon totaling 35 students consisting of 12 male students and 23 female students. Data collection in this study was carried out by the test method. The data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the average social studies learning outcomes in the first cycle was 75.45 in the medium category and in the second cycle increased to 87.23 in the high category. The increase that occurs if it is calculated using the Gn formula, the score score is 0.48 which if converted to the criteria table for improving learning outcomes is in the medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the contextual learning model assisted by visual media can improve social studies learning outcomes for class V A MI Tarbiyatul Islam Kandang Jati Kulon academic year 2021/2022

Abstract

Vocabulary learning in early childhood plays an important role in their language and cognitive development. One effective method to improve children's understanding and motivation to learn is the use of flashcard media. This study aims to analyze the application of flashcards in learning in madrasahs as an effort to facilitate word recognition in students. The research method used is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach, involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the use of flashcards helps improve students' memory, makes learning more interactive, and increases their learning motivation. In addition, this media allows flexible learning according to each student's learning style. Although there are challenges in implementation, such as material preparation that takes time, flashcards have proven to be an innovative solution in improving children's vocabulary skills in madrasahs. Therefore, the use of flashcards is recommended as an effective and interesting learning media for early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to address the limited access to information technology at SMP Negeri 3 Sumberasih Satu Atap, Probolinggo, by implementing an information technology-based education program designed to enhance the digital literacy of students and teachers. The research employed both qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions conducted. These interventions included a series of information technology training workshops, the installation of adequate information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure, and student leadership sessions aimed at developing leadership capabilities and organizational skills among the students. During the study, a participatory approach was adopted to ensure the active involvement of all relevant parties, including students, teachers, and school administrative staff. This not only aided in the smooth implementation of the program but also facilitated the adoption of new practices and norms in a more inclusive and technology-oriented learning process. The results of this study showed a significant improvement in digital literacy among the participants. Students and teachers became more proficient in using digital tools for teaching and learning processes. Additionally, there were positive social changes within the school environment, marked by the emergence of young leaders who initiated the use of technology for various educational activities. This research indicates that with proper support and adequate infrastructure, schools with limited access to technology can experience significant digital transformation.

Abstract

An effective relationship between teachers and students is a crucial element in the learning process, particularly in pesantren-based schools that integrate formal education with moral and spiritual development. This study aims to analyze the strategies for building effective teacher–student relationships in the learning process of the Religious Program class at MAN 1 Probolinggo, Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers and students of the Religious Program, classroom observations during the learning process, and analysis of instructional documentation. The results indicate that effective teacher–student relationships are developed through dialogical communication, pedagogical empathy, and consistent role modeling, which collectively create a safe, comfortable, and participatory learning environment. Observational findings reveal the prevalence of two-way interactions, active student participation, and humanistic classroom management, all of which are achieved without compromising discipline. Meanwhile, documentation analysis reveals the integration of relational strategies in lesson planning, as reflected in lesson plans and syllabi that incorporate pesantren values. Overall, this study confirms that effective teacher–student relationship strategies in the pesantren context are not only pedagogical but also spiritual in nature, thereby strengthening students’ intrinsic motivation, learning participation, and character development. ABSTRAK Hubungan efektif antara guru dan siswa merupakan elemen krusial dalam proses pembelajaran, khususnya dalam konteks sekolah berbasis pesantren yang menggabungkan pendidikan formal dengan pembinaan moral dan spiritual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi hubungan efektif antara guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas Program Keagamaan (PK) MAN 1 Probolinggo Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, dimana data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan siswa Program Keagamaan, observasi selama proses pembelajaran, serta analisis dokumentasi pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan efektif antara guru dan siswa Program Keagamaan MAN 1 Probolinggo dibangun melalui komunikasi dialogis, empati pedagogis, dan keteladanan sikap yang konsisten, yang kemudian menciptakan iklim pembelajaran yang aman dan partisiptif.  Temuan observasi memperlihatkan dominannya interaksi dua arah, partisipasi aktif siswa, serta pengelolaan kelas yang humanis tanpa mengurangi disiplin. Sementara itu, hasil dokumentasi menunjukkan adanya interasi strategi relasional dalam perencanaan pembelajaran yang tercermin dalam RPP dan silabus berbasis nilai-nilai pesantren. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa strategi hubungan efektif antara guru dan siswa dalam konteks pesantren tidak hanya bersifat pedagogis, akan tetapi juga spritual, sehingga memperkuat motivasi intrinsik, partisipatif siswa, dan pembentukan karakter siswa.

Abstract

The formation of a Qur’anic generation in junior secondary schools has become an urgent necessity in responding to moral and social challenges in the modern era. In this context, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers hold a highly strategic role in shaping students’ character. This study aims to analyze in depth how PAI teachers contribute to the development of students’ Qur’anic character through role modeling, habituation, and religious programs implemented at school. This research employed a qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and documentation to obtain comprehensive data. The findings reveal that PAI teachers function not only as knowledge transmitters but also as spiritual mentors who influence students’ behavior through positive and consistent emotional relationships. Observations indicate that routine activities such as morning Qur’an recitation, greeting culture, dhuha prayer, and moral reinforcement significantly contribute to character formation. School documentation further demonstrates the existence of a structured and sustainable habituation system that strengthens Qur’anic values in students’ daily lives. This study concludes that the formation of a Qur’anic generation requires an integrated approach encompassing instruction, role modeling, habituation, and comprehensive management of religious activities. ABSTRAK Pembentukan generasi Qur’ani di sekolah menengah pertama menjadi kebutuhan penting untuk menghadapi tantangan moral dan sosial di era modern, sehingga peran guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) memegang posisi yang sangat strategis dalam proses tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam bagaimana guru PAI berperan dalam membentuk karakter Qur’ani siswa melalui keteladanan, pembiasaan, dan program keagamaan di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi untuk memperoleh data secara menyeluruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI tidak hanya bertindak sebagai penyampai materi, tetapi juga sebagai pembimbing spiritual yang memengaruhi perilaku siswa melalui hubungan emosional yang positif dan konsisten. Observasi menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan rutin seperti tadarus pagi, salam, salat dhuha, dan penguatan akhlak memainkan peran penting dalam pembentukan karakter. Dokumentasi sekolah memperlihatkan adanya sistem pembiasaan yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan yang memperkuat nilai-nilai Qur’ani dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pembentukan generasi Qur’ani memerlukan integrasi antara pembelajaran, keteladanan, pembiasaan, dan manajemen kegiatan religius secara menyeluruh.
