Abstract

Employee performance is closely tied to the support of the environment in striving for work achievements, thus the individual capabilities of human resources (HR) employees are crucial in achieving such success. The aim of this research is to analyze the performance of healthcare center (puskesmas) employees in East Lombok Regency. This research method utilizes a qualitative approach. The study was conducted from June to December 2023 in 5 representative healthcare centers namely Labuhan Haji, Krongkong, Kotaraja, Karang Baru, and Dasan Lekong. The research informants consisted of 5 individuals, with 3 as primary informants and 2 as supporting informants. Data was collected through group discussion forums. The results of this research indicate that employee performance in East Lombok is not satisfactory, as evidenced by patient complaints. Based on these findings, it is recommended that healthcare center employees should be open in all aspects to their environment, not only related to performance but also in communication, so that the relationship between employees and their environment can be well established.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of Facility and Safety Management (MFK) at the Mutiara Sukma Mental Hospital (RSJ). This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The informants for this research are MFK implementers, namely the K3 committee/installation, management, structural officials and visitors. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interviews. Examination of the trustworthiness of the data in this research includes credibility and dependability. Data analysis uses the thematic analysis model. The result of this research is that the evaluation of MFK implementation at the Mutiara Sukma Mental Hospital (RSJ) is less active in involving K3 installations in the planning process up to the evaluation. Implementation of Facilities and Safety Management (MFK) can run well if there is a clear priority scale and results that can be measured according to targets. It is necessary to improve the implementation and socialization of programs, such as the Hospital Disaster Plan, Contractor Safety Management, and fire protection systems that need to be identified and periodically evaluated for the security and safety of all those in the hospital environment. The four phases in the PDSA cycle have not run optimally. Increasing human resource capacity, managerial commitment, K3 structure and clarity of funding sources are still obstacles. Collaboration between K3 installations and policy makers is needed to reformulate improvements to the implementation of Facility and Safety Management (MFK).

Abstract

The referral system is a healthcare management system that carries out the transfer of mutually accountable responsibilities for a specific medical case or health problem either vertically, meaning from a less capable unit to a more capable unit, or horizontally, meaning among units of similar capabilities. The referral system regulates the flow of where someone with a particular health problem should seek examination for their health issues. The purpose of this research is to analyze the Implementation of Outpatient Referral for Participants of the Health Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) at Mataram Community Health Center. The method used in this research employs a qualitative descriptive approach to gain an overview of the analysis of outpatient referral implementation for BPJS Kesehatan participants at Mataram Community Health Center. Descriptive means that the data collected are in the form of words, images, and not numerical values. The findings of the research indicate that the implementation of outpatient referral at the Community Health Center shows that it has not fully run smoothly. Patient knowledge varies, with some understanding and others not understanding. The facilities and infrastructure are still lacking, some diseases diagnosed under code 144 are still referred, many referrals are initiated by the patients themselves, and there are outpatient referrals from outside healthcare facilities.

Abstract

Hypertension is a major global health issue that significantly contributes to morbidity and mortality. This study examines the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards preventing hypertension recurrence among hypertensive patients in Indonesia. Utilizing a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 49 hypertensive patients through questionnaires assessing knowledge and attitudes. The results reveal a significant correlation between good knowledge and positive attitudes, with 65% of those with good knowledge exhibiting a positive attitude compared to 35% among those with poor knowledge. The odds ratio (OR=1.643, p=0.000) indicates that patients with better knowledge are significantly more likely to have a positive attitude towards hypertension prevention. These findings underscore the importance of educational interventions in improving health outcomes. Tailored educational programs that address psychological and nutritional aspects, as well as social support mechanisms, are recommended to enhance patient knowledge and foster positive health behaviors. This study highlights the need for continuous patient education and support to reduce the recurrence of hypertension. Public health strategies should focus on integrating comprehensive educational approaches to empower patients and improve adherence to hypertension management practices. The significant role of education in shaping health attitudes and behaviors emphasizes its critical place in public health initiatives aimed at combating hypertension.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of patient perception and level of patient satisfaction as well as the relationship between these two variables on the quality of pharmaceutical services at the Patuh Karya Regional General Hospital. The method used in this study is the design in this study is observational descriptive using quantitative data based on a cross sectional approach using the ServQual model with 5 (five) dimensions of service quality, namely: Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness (Responsivness), Assurance (Assurance) and Empathy (Emphaty). The number of samples in this study were 56 people using the sampling technique, namely accidental sampling and the samples were selected according to the inclusion criteria. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire that was compiled based on pharmaceutical service criteria. The data analysis used in this study was a univariate test and a bivariate test with the help of SPSS. The results showed that the patient's perception of the quality of pharmaceutical services obtained results that were sufficient with a level of satisfaction (30.4%) and good (69.6%). For patient satisfaction with the quality of pharmaceutical services, the results were quite satisfied (66.1%) and satisfied (33.9%). Based on the results of statistical tests with Bivariate analysis or chi square test where this is done to see the relationship or correlation between variables, the independent variable is the patient's perception of the quality of pharmaceutical services and the dependent variable is patient satisfaction with the quality of pharmaceutical services, where the research subjects are patients outpatient care due to the Asymptotic Significance (2-sided) or p-value of 0.00 which is less than the 0.05 significance level (0.01 ≤ 0.05) so that there is a significant relationship between patient perception and satisfaction with the quality of pharmaceutical services at the Regional General Hospital Patuh Karya.

Abstract

Masalah pengelolaan sampah menjadi tantangan utama di berbagai wilayah, termasuk di Kota Mataram. Salah satu solusi yang diterapkan adalah pemanfaatan Tempat Pengelolaan Sampah Terpadu (TPST). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara perilaku ibu rumah tangga dan jarak rumah ke TPST dengan pemanfaatan TPST Kebon Talo di Lingkungan Bintaro Jaya, Kota Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu rumah tangga di Lingkungan Bintaro Jaya sebanyak 421 orang, dengan sampel sebanyak 206 responden yang diambil secara random. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan observasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-square dan regresi logistik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku ibu rumah tangga dengan pemanfaatan TPST (p = 0,000), dan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara jarak rumah ke TPST dengan pemanfaatan TPST (p = 0,010). Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa perilaku ibu rumah tangga merupakan faktor yang paling kuat mempengaruhi pemanfaatan TPST dengan nilai Exp(B) sebesar 6,409. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik perilaku ibu rumah tangga, semakin tinggi kemungkinan mereka memanfaatkan TPST Kebon Talo. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan edukasi dan kesadaran masyarakat serta penempatan TPS yang strategis menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan pemanfaatan sarana pengelolaan sampah.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Patient satisfaction is an important indicator in assessing the quality of health services, especially for BPJS Kesehatan participants who have wide access to service facilities. However, the level of patient satisfaction at the UPTB BLUD Aik Mual Health Center has not reached the optimal standard, so it requires an evaluation of the factors that influence this satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the determinant factors related to the level of patient satisfaction of BPJS Kesehatan participants at the UPT BLUD Aik Mual Health Center in 2024. This s tudy used a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. involving 99 respondents selected through the purposive sampling method. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using bivariate (Chi-Square) and multivariate (regression, multiple logistic) tests. The results of the study showed that several variables had a significant relationship with patient satisfaction, namely Type of Service (p = 0.002; OR = 11.481), completion time (p = 0.003; OR 10.549) and completeness of Facilities and Infrastructure (p = 0.024; OR0.189). From the results of the regression, multiple logistic, Type of Service and completion time are the factors that most influence patient satisfaction. with the chance of dissatisfaction 11 and 10 times greater if the Type of Service and completion time do not match, Other factors, such as facilities and infrastructure, also contribute to the level of satisfaction, although not as strong as the main factor. Concluded that increasing patient satisfaction can be achieved by improving the completion time of services, simplifying administrative requirements, and increasing the competence of health workers. The implications of this study provide strategic recommendations for the Aik Mual Health Center to optimize services based on patient need.  Keywords: Patient Satisfaction. BPJS Kesehatan, Determinant of Satisfaction With the Time of Completion of Health Services.  ABSTRAK Kepuasan pasien adalah salah satu indikator yang sangat penting dalam menilai kualitas pelayanan kesehatan, terutama bagi peserta BPJS Kesehatan yang memiliki akses luas terhadap berbagai fasilitas. Namun, tingkat kepuasan pasien di UPTD BLUD Puskesmas Aik Mual masih belum memenuhi standar optimal. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan evaluasi terhadap berbagai faktor yang dapat memengaruhi kepuasan pasien di sana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor determinan yang berhubungan dengan tingkat kepuasan pasien peserta BPJS Kesehatan di UPTD BLUD Puskesmas Aik Mual pada tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, melibatkan 99 responden yang dipilih melalui metode purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur dan dianalisis dengan uji bivariat (Chi-Square) serta multivariat (regresi logistik berganda). Menunjukkan bahwa beberapa variabel memiliki hubungan signifikan Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa variabel memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kepuasan pasien, antara lain Jenis Pelayanan (p = 0,002; OR = 11,481), waktu penyelesaian (p = 0,003; OR = 10,549), dan kelengkapan sarana dan prasarana (p = 0,024; OR = 0,189). Dari analisis regresi logistik berganda, ditemukan bahwa Jenis Pelayanan dan waktu penyelesaian adalah faktor utama yang paling memengaruhi kepuasan pasien. Peluang ketidakpuasan pasien meningkat 11 dan 10 kali lipat apabila Jenis Pelayanan dan waktu penyelesaian tidak sesuai. Faktor lain, seperti sarana dan prasarana, juga berkontribusi terhadap tingkat kepuasan, meskipun pengaruhnya tidak sekuat faktor utama. Untuk meningkatkan kepuasan pasien, perlu dilakukan perbaikan dalam waktu penyelesaian pelayanan, penyederhanaan persyaratan administrasi, serta peningkatan kompetensi tenaga kesehatan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi strategis bagi UPTD BLUD Puskesmas Aik Mual dalam mengoptimalkan pelayanan yang berbasis pada kebutuhan pasien. Kata Kunci: Kepuasan Pasien, BPJS Kesehatan, Determinan Kepuasan, Waktu Penyelesaian, Pelayanan Kesehatan.

Abstract

The development of industrial areas has direct implications for surrounding buffer villages, including Plenen Village, which is adjacent to the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate (KITB)/Batang Industropolis Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The main issue identified is the suboptimal utilization of industrial development opportunities to improve local community welfare. This study aims to analyze the synergy between village government and industrial areas in empowering the community of Plenen Village. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that synergy between the village government and industrial area has been established through program coordination, facilitation of local labor absorption, and social support via corporate social responsibility programs. However, such synergy remains partial and has not been institutionally integrated, resulting in limited impact on community empowerment. The study concludes that strengthening collaborative governance and joint planning is essential to ensure that industrial development provides more inclusive and sustainable benefits for buffer village communities.

Abstract

ABSTRACTNosocomial infections remain a significant challenge for hospitals worldwide due to their impact on increased morbidity, mortality, healthcare costs, and prolonged hospital stays. Consequently, infection prevention has become a critical standard in healthcare service delivery. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Program at the Provincial General Hospital of West Nusa Tenggara. A qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with seven healthcare workers and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman framework. The findings indicate that the success of IPC program implementation is influenced by five main categories: organizational structure, implementation processes, measurable outcomes, cultural and contextual factors, and adaptive capacity in addressing field-level challenges. These five elements are interrelated and require continuous intervention to sustain program effectiveness. In general, the implementation of the IPC program has led to improved staff compliance with protocols, a stronger understanding of IPC principles, and the establishment of reasonably effective audit and training systems. However, optimal results remain constrained by inconsistent adherence, inadequate infrastructure, logistical barriers, uneven dissemination of information, high workloads, and challenges related to workplace culture. These findings provide valuable input for hospital policymakers in designing context-based intervention strategies to strengthen infection control practices. Keywords: Analysis, Program Implementation, Infection Prevention and Control.  ABSTRAK Infeksi nosokomial merupakan tantangan signifikan bagi rumah sakit di seluruh dunia karena dampaknya terhadap peningkatan morbiditas, mortalitas, biaya pengobatan, dan lama waktu perawatan di rumah sakit. Oleh karena itu, pencegahan infeksi menjadi standar penting dalam pelayanan kesehatan. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk menganalisis implementasi Program Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Infeksi (PPI) di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan tujuh tenaga kesehatan dan dianalisis menggunakan kerangka Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan implementasi program PPI dipengaruhi oleh lima kategori utama, yaitu: struktur organisasi, proses pelaksanaan, hasil terukur, faktor budaya dan kontekstual, serta kapasitas adaptif dalam merespons kendala di lapangan. Kelima elemen ini saling berkaitan dan memerlukan intervensi berkelanjutan guna menjaga efektivitas program. Secara umum, implementasi program PPI telah meningkatkan kepatuhan staf terhadap protokol, pemahaman yang kuat terhadap prinsip-prinsip PPI, serta berjalannya sistem audit dan pelatihan yang cukup efektif. Namun demikian, pencapaian hasil yang optimal masih terhambat oleh ketidakpatuhan yang tidak konsisten, keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, hambatan logistik, penyebaran informasi yang tidak merata, beban kerja tinggi, serta tantangan budaya kerja. Temuan ini memberikan masukan berharga bagi pengambil kebijakan rumah sakit dalam merancang strategi intervensi berbasis konteks untuk memperkuat praktik pengendalian infeksi. Kata Kunci: Analisis, Implementasi Program, Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Infeksi.
