Abstract

The easiest thing to recognize is the temple building in the middle of the package. Apart from that, the visual of a dancer also strengthens this representation. The attributes used by dancers are characteristics of Balinese dancers. The packaging structure is designed to make it easier for consumers to carry and open the packaging. With sizes adapted to the anatomy of an adult human hand. The materials used differ between tertiary, secondary and primary packaging because they are adjusted to the needs for packaging the product.

Abstract

The creation of the 'Prodigal Son' animation stems from the author's realization of the need for fresh and engaging church teaching media for youth aged 12-17. Current media often lack appeal, as they focus only on storylines without offering deeper engagement. This gap highlights the urgency to develop new media that effectively delivers story essence using the Gestalt MoVS(Movement on Voice and Spirit) visual style. The study addresses how to create animation that fills this gap, applies Gestalt MoVS concepts, and visualizes the 'Prodigal Son' story through this approach. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative method and practice-based research, the process includes literature studies on Gestalt MoVS theory, theological philosophy, hermeneutics, semiotics, VCD (Visual Communication Design) principles, and expert interviews with theologians, animators, media experts, and adolescent psychologists. Media trials with targeted audiences also contribute to the visual analysis. The result is an aesthetically pleasing animation that conveys the story's three main essences—repentance, forgiveness, and gratitude—in a paradoxical configuration, addressing both repentant audiences and those who judge others. The animation offers an innovative solution to engage teens and simplify Bible story delivery, emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach to inspire spiritual understanding and real-life application.

Abstract

The problem faced by the research team is how to properly process market expansion for micro businesses. The research location is in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java. In the six sub-districts, there are many micro business actors who have the potential to develop but are constrained in mastering important aspects that interact with the governance and management processes of their businesses. The research sample was 69 businesses engaged in the food, beverage, and health sectors. The data testing methods used were the Friedman test and the Categorical test. The Friedman test aims to find the level of relevance and needs of the aspects used as study materials, then the Categorical test to determine the map of the aspects used as study areas, so that problem points can be seen on the quadrant map in a focused manner. The research method uses a home visit model. The purpose of this study is to help home business actors improve their product management management, so that they can attract buyers. The findings of this study are known to have five main aspects that hinder the development of 69 micro businesses in market expansion, i.e. improving packaging, utilizing technology, expedition networks, sales networks, and using brands.

Abstract

The history of Mengwitani Village provides a context for understanding corruption in Bali. Despite progress, corruption persists due to power struggles, lack of transparency, and low accountability. The case of the former Village Head who was caught in a Village Fund corruption scandal illustrates how violations can occur even at the local government level, undermining public trust. Corruption, rooted in historical vulnerabilities, has become a means to maintain power and wealth at the expense of the community. In response, the Mengwitani Village Head created Anti-Corruption posters that were published on the village's official website. The purpose of hermeneutical research on the anti-corruption campaign posters in Mengwitani Village is to interpret the meaning contained in the posters, reveal the anti-corruption messages they want to convey, and understand how anti-corruption values are communicated visually to the people of Mengwitani Village. Analyzing this campaign using Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic approach provides a comprehensive perspective. The method used is a qualitative descriptive research method. Examining the visual structure reveals symbolic elements, such as the depiction of evil figures, which are used to emphasize violations of law and ethics. The hermeneutic approach helps reveal the deeper message of the posters: changing public perception to prevent corruption. The main targets are the community and the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), whose responses shape the effectiveness of the campaign. Understanding the industrial context highlights the advertisement as a complex cultural artifact with significant social and political implications. Ricoeur's analysis not only deciphers the poster's message but also explores its broader meaning in the socio-political landscape of Mengwitani Village.

Abstract

Ceramics is a unique art medium due to its reliance on high-temperature firing at every stage of its formation. Generally, ceramics are objects made from clay and fired to achieve specific forms and characteristics. The development of ceramic art has progressed significantly in recent years, particularly in terms of technique, materials, and supporting tools. In Bali, especially in tourist areas, the ceramic industry has flourished. However, this growth contrasts with the situation in Singaraja, which is more recognized for its traditional glass painting, wood carving, and earthenware crafts. This disparity motivated the author to explore ceramic art through the at Tana Ampo Pottery Studio in Sukawati, Gianyar. The author focused on three main aspects during the internship: (a) the development of the ceramic business at Tana Ampo Pottery Studio, (b) the ceramic forming and creation process, and (c) collaborative approaches in artistic production. The internship involved a collaborative method that included direct observation, literature review, and experimentation with local soil materials combined with iron oxide. The aim was to create a new clay character distinct from commercial clay. The outcome resulted in five ceramic artworks: three wall installations and two three-dimensional pieces, with stone-like visual characteristics in both color and texture. These works integrated Northern Balinese ornament motifs and wayang (shadow puppet) character expressions to reflect and strengthen local identity through artistic expression.
