Abstract

Recently, the traditionalist ulama dayah has been questioned in Aceh. With the arrival of religious groups with a Wahhabi-Salafi pattern, Acehnese dayah ulama have lost their authority as agents or religious figures in Acehnese society. This study focuses on the authority of the dayah ulama and its role in contemporary Acehnese spiritual practice. This study aims to see the authority of the dayah ulama amid the development of Wahhabi-Salafi understanding in contemporary Aceh. By conducting interviews with the dayah ulama group, Wahhabi-Salafi groups, and related government institutions in the province of Aceh and using qualitative data analysis, the researcher found that the role of the dayah ulama was still strong in influencing the religious practice of contemporary Acehnese society as evidenced by the community's rejection of Salafist religious understanding. Fundamentalism developed in Aceh because it was not by understanding the dayah ulama, namely the doctrine of Ahlusunnah Waljamaah. In addition, there is support from the Aceh government for the religion of the dayah ulama, with evidence by the issuance of a circular regarding the obligation to worship according to the teachings and understanding of syafi'iyah in the province of Aceh.

Abstract

Numeracy ability is a basic ability that students must have to face the progress of the times. This ability guides students to analyze and solve mathematical problems and problems in everyday life. Even though it is very important, the numeracy skills of students in Indonesia are still very low. Therefore, efforts need to be made to improve and adjust strategies in the learning process so that students' numeracy abilities can increase. One effort is to use learning media. This research aims to find out what learning media are used by teachers to improve the numeracy skills of elementary school students, especially at the Tahfidzul Quran An-Nahl Mataram Integrated Islamic Elementary School. This research method is through teacher interviews and learning observations for 5 months in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. There are several media used by teachers in the process of improving numeracy skills at the Tahfidzul Quran An-Nahl Mataram Integrated Islamic Elementary School, including the addition and subtraction board, an introduction to measuring instruments board, rupiah specimen currency media, and a long unit ladder prop. All media used by teachers can increase student activity and involvement, learning outcomes, and student learning motivation.

Abstract

Pengabdian Mahasiswa Kepada Masyarakat (PMKM) yang kami laksanakan di wilayah Pondok Benda Pamulang, Tangerang Selatan. Kegiatan Pengabdian Mahasiswa Kepada Masyarakat (PMKM) yang berjudul “Penyuluhan Sampah Organik dan Non Organik sebagai bentuk Penghijauan” ini sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kepedulian masyarakat terhadap lingkungan serta meningkatkan nilai guna dan pendidikan karakter sejak dini terhadap anak-anak sebagai penerus bangsa. Kami sebagai penulis menyadari bahwa ada banyak kekurangan pada karya ilmiah ini tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian Mahasiswa Kepada Masyarakat (PMKM) adalah untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran anak – anak santri dan santriwati di Rumah Qur’an Askaf Indonesia untuk memiliki kepedulian terhadap kelestarian lingkungan hidup, meningkatkan kesadaran anak – anak santri dan santriwati di Rumah Qur’an Askaf Indonesia untuk tidak membuang sampah sembarangan, meningkatkan keterampilan terhadap anak – anak santri dan santriwati di Rumah Qur’an Askaf Indonesia agar dapat memanfaatkan sampah rumah tangga menjadi sesuatu yang bernilai jual. Manfaat dari pihak akademik Bagi pihak akademik secara tidak langsung fungsinya sebagai dimensi intelektual. Yaitu pengabdian kepada masyarakat, dan sebagai bahan referensi untuk membantu mahasiswa semester bawah yang akan menyusun proyek akhir serta menambah perbendaharaan buku dalam perpustakaan, Manfaat bagi Rumah Qur’an Askaf Indonesia, meningkatkan rasa kepedulian terhadap kelestarian lingkungan serta menambah nilai guna dan pendidikan karakter. Manfaat bagi peneliti lain, Bagi peneliti lain, diharapkan penelitian ini dapat menjadi sebuah rujukan bagi sivitas akademika yang ingin mengangkat penelitian sejenis.Kata Kunci : Sampah Organik, Sampah Non-organik, Penghijauan, Keperdulian, Pendidikan Karakter

Abstract

Reading proficiency is a foundational skill in elementary education, significantly influencing students' academic success and personal development. This study investigates the initial reading abilities of 2nd-grade students at Integrated Islamic Elementary School Tahfidzul Quran An-Nahl, an institution that combines general and religious education. The research identifies key areas for improvement and evaluates the effectiveness of current teaching methods. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the study assesses three main indicators: pronunciation accuracy, reading fluency, and voice clarity. Data were collected through reading tests and teacher questionnaires. Results reveal significant challenges, with most students rated as "Poor" or "Fair." Factors such as inconsistent phonetic teaching, insufficient reading practice, and unsupportive learning environments contribute to these difficulties. Recommendations include enhancing phonetic instruction, increasing reading practice, and fostering a supportive reading environment. This study provides insights for developing effective literacy programs in similar educational contexts, aiming for holistic improvements in students' reading skills

Abstract

Abstract: This paper discusses the transmission of ethnonationalism spirit in an Acehnese society based on the doda idi poem case study. The scholarship about Aceh contemporary shows the high commitment of ethnonationalism as the social identity of its people. But, the studies that discuss these themes have not given adequate attention to the use of poetry as a social mechanism in reproducing and transmitting the spirit of ethnonationalism. Based on qualitative data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies, this paper proposes the argument that the transmission of the spirit of ethnonationalism in Acehnese society across generations begins with social mechanisms that take place within the scope of the family. Dodas poems chanted by almost every mother in Aceh when they put their children to sleep as infants have a significant role in the process of forming collective identity and ethnonationalism in the future. Correspondingly, this article concludes that ethnonationalism awareness transmitted through poetry operates in two consciousnesses that are interconnected with each other, namely; discursive consciousness and practical consciousness. Keywords: doda idi poetry, Aceh’s collective identity, ethnonationalism
