Road pavement structure is a structure consisting of one or more layers of road from processed materials, where the purpose is to support the weight of the traffic load without causing significant damage to the road construction itself. The purpose of this study is to obtain the thickness of the road pavement layer used using the MDPJ Method No. 03 / M / BM / 2024, obtain the design of the thickness of the Kampung Baru - Beruntung Jaya road pavement layer according to the MDPJ method No. 03 / M / BM / 2024, find out the comparison of the design of the thickness of the road pavement layer according to the MDPJ method No. 03 / M / BM / 2024 and the MDPJ method No. 02 / M / BM / 2017. The results of the study The thickness of the road pavement layer used using the MDPJ method No. 03/M/BM/2024 is HRS WC 50 mm thick, LFA Class A 150 mm thick and LFA Class B or natural gravel or stabilized layer with CBR > 10% 150 mm thick, with the design of the thickness of the Kampung Baru – Beruntung Jaya road pavement layer according to the MDPJ method No. 03/M/BM/2024 using Design Chart-4 Flexible pavement design with HRS. [TEB1.1] In the application of MDPJ No. 03/M/BM/2024 compared to MDPJ No. MDPJ No. 02/M/BM/2017 is based on a methodological approach. MDPJ No. 03/M/BM/2024 uses Design Chart-4 with a sharpened traffic classification and emphasized CBR criteria (>10%) for the subbase layer. MDPJ 2017 uses Design Chart-3A with a more general formulation. Therefore, MDPJ No. 03/M/BM/2024 provides a more structured and adaptive design approach to traffic parameters and material bearing capacity, resulting in a more technically controlled pavement thickness design that has the potential to improve the performance and reliability of the pavement structure in the long term.
