Abstract

Sejak tahun 2017, Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) telah dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar (SD) Dharma Karya Universitas Terbuka (UT).  Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan GLS di SD Dharma Karya, untuk menganalisa faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksaaan GLS, dan mendeskripsikan tahap GLS yang diterapkan disana. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian  deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Fokus penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas IV-1 di SD Dharma Karya UT. Peneliti menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas IV-1 telah melaksanakan GLS sesuai jadwal, siswa sudah mulai menyukai membaca, namun buku yang tersedia masih sangat kurang sehingga pengalaman membaca siswa sangat terbatas. Faktor pendukung yang nampak adalah bahwa kepala sekolah mempunyai komitmen yang baik untuk melaksanakan kegiatan GLS, kemudian guru-guru dan siswa serta komponen sekolah yang lain juga menunjang untuk suksesnya kegiatan GLS di SD Dharma Karya. Kata Kunci: Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, Minat Baca, Literasi Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

Pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) memiliki berbagai kendala seperti terbatasnya pengetahuan guru terhadap variasi kegiatan tindak lanjut setelah kegiatan 15 menit membaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang pelaksanaan GLS. Lebih khusus, penelitian ini bermaksud mengeksplorasii kegiatan GLS pada tahap pengembangan, menganalisis jenis respon siswa terhadap buku bacaan dan penilaian guru terhadap respon tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi dan interview. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa kegiatan GLS telah dilaksanakan di sekolah ini jauh sebelum dicanangkannya GLS oleh pemerintah. Selanjutnya, kegiatan literasi diwujudkan dalam sesi membaca yang secara resmi dijadwalkan dalam jadwal pelajaran. Respon terhadap buku yang dibaca dilakukan siswa dalam berbagai bentuk. Siswa diwajibkan membuat suatu proyek tertulis sebagai respon terhadap buku yang dibacanya. Selain itu, respon juga dapat berbentuk lisan seperti berbagi isi buku. Respon yang dibuat siswa dinilai oleh guru sebagai bagian dari mata pelajaran bahasa (Bahasa Indonesia atau Bahasa Inggris). Untuk meningkatkan kesuksesan pelaksanaan kegiatan GLS, diperlukan pengadaan buku bacaan untuk tingkat remaja karena buku merupakan faktor utama pendukung kegiatan GLS. Oleh karena itu, bukan saja jumlah buku yang harus banyak, namun juga genre yang beragam sangat diperlukan agar siswa mendapat berbagai pengalaman membaca. Selain itu, variasi kegiatan literasi perlu ditambahkan seperti penggunaan multimodal reading responses dan disesuaikan dengan perkembangan teknologi saat ini.  Selanjutnya, melihat dari kondisi sekolah yang sangat mendukung, kiranya kegiatan GLS dapat diterapkan di semua mata pelajaran sehingga GLS di sekolah ini  dapat mencapai tahap Pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon dosen dan kaprodi terhadap pembukaan prodi PBA di UT dengan sistem pendidikan jarak jauh, mendeskripiskan tren mahasiswa untuk memilih prodi PBA, dan menjelaskan sistem pembelajaran PBA di beberapa universitas di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: 1). dosen dan kaprodi dari universitas lain sangat mendukung UT untuk membuka prodi PBA dengan sistem PJJ; 2). Tren minat mahasiswa untuk memilih prodi PBA meningkat: 3). saat ini sistem pembelajaran di universitas lain menggunakan online dan offline dengan tujuan memiliki lulusan pendidik bahasa arab dan profesi lainnya yang relevan dengan keterampilan yang diajarkan pada prodi masing-masing.

Abstract

Technology continues to develop so that it causes changes in the pattern of human life without exception, also in education. This technological advancement requires teachers to develop and adjust additional competencies, one of which is using new technology in the learning process. Learning media can be interpreted as learning process aids that include subject matter information. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the use of YouTube videos on improving students' English learning outcomes. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a type of Quasi Experiment with a form of nonequivalent control group design. This research uses data analysis techniques, namely descriptive statistical analysis, analysis prerequisite tests, hypothesis tests, and n-gain analysis. The results of the hypothesis test in this study obtained the sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, this shows that the variables of YouTube video-based learning media have a significant effect on student English learning outcomes.

Abstract

When learning Indonesian in high school (SMA), scientific writing is one of the outcomes that students must be able to apply in the form of writing. In fact, scientific writing is difficult material for students. According to the 2013 curriculum, the scientific writing material should enable students to effectively compile and communicate their findings. On the other hand, in the merdeka curriculum, scientific writing serves as a report for each project to enhance the Pancasila students' profile (P5). The purpose of this study is to compare the process of writing scientific papers between the 2013 curriculum and the merdeka curriculum and analyze the resulting learning outcomes. The research conducted revealed the following findings: 1) there were differences in the outcomes of scientific writing learning between the 2013 curriculum and the merdeka curriculum, 2) the scientific writing learning process varied, with the 2013 curriculum only including Indonesian language subjects for scientific writing in class XI, while the merdeka curriculum scientific writing allowed collaboration with other subjects, and 3) the scientific writing guidance system in the 2013 curriculum solely focused on learning Indonesian during class, whereas in the merdeka curriculum, students received special guidance outside of class hours.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe students' perceptions of character values that are integrated into each activity of Mathematical Power, which consists of problem-solving, understanding, connecting, and communication. This qualitative research collected data with a survey of students about their perceptions and interviews with mathematics teachers. The sample of schools were selected based on the types of schools: faith-based school and non-faith-based school located in Yogyakarta city. From the four selected schools, 61 samples of grade XI students and 4 mathematics teachers in each school were involved in this study. After the data was collected, the survey data was analyzed descriptively, and the interview data was analyzed using data reduction, data collection, and conclusions. Based on the results of students’ perceptions, character values have been widely felt by most students, with the largest percentage in mathematical communication activities. Non-faith-based schools scored higher than faith-based schools in students' perceptions of character values in all four mathematical activities.

Abstract

So far, there has been limited research on the exploration of educational values in poetry. This study aims to explore how poetry reflects moral and spiritual values, as well as how it can be used as an effective educational tool. The research employs a qualitative analysis method, focusing on hermeneutics. The primary data source for this study is a collection of poems by Angga Wijaya. The findings reveal that Angga Wijaya's poems invite readers to reflect on life and discover deeper meaning through self-awareness. His works emphasize the importance of letting go of the past, embracing change, and practicing patience in facing life's challenges. The recurring use of moon imagery guides readers on a spiritual journey, while themes of love and respect highlight the values of unity and compassion. The study suggests that Angga Wijaya's poetry can serve as an effective medium for teaching character education.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of family-based principles in the traditional market management in Yogyakarta. This research is qualitative research employing a case study approach. Data collection methods were interviews and questionnaires. The research subjects consisted of Traditional Market Traders, Market Heads, and five Indonesian Association of Market Traders including Beringharjo, Sleman, Piyungan, Wates, and Wonosari Market.  The results of this research show that the family-based principles are applied in the management of these traditional markets. Based on the interview results and questionnaires, traditional market traders, market heads, and traders’ associations have a strong relationship both structurally and formally as well as culturally and informally. Communication between the three research subjects was established effectively by performing deliberations in policy making. Informal relationships include recitals, joint gymnastics, and cooperation. This study reveals that the value of deliberations is high which reaches 72%; a sense of family is 85.5%; Gotong-royong activity reaches 82%; family value reaches 83%; cultural value is 86%; and confidence level is 81%. This impacts the existence of Yogyakarta's traditional markets which still survive and even become tourist landmarks. This research has limitation on its depth and method usage, so future research needs to be deepened with other methods.

Abstract

Peningkatan literasi digital guru merupakan aspek penting dalam menghadapi era digital yang terus berkembang. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital guru di Tangerang Selatan melalui dua kegiatan, yaitu pelatihan buku digital untuk guru di sekolah menengah pertama dan  pelatihan read aloud untuk guru di sekolah dasar. Kedua kegiatan ini terdiri atas tiga Langkah utama, yaitu persiapan, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Peserta pelatihan buku digital terdiri atas 37 orang guru SMPN di Kota Tangerang Selatan dan peserta pelatihan read aloud sebanyak 46 orang guru SDN di Kota Tangerang Selatan. Tahapan evaluasi kegiatan Pk Mini dilakukan dengan menyebar kuesioner berupa google form pada semua peserta. Hasil evaluasi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru merasa puas dengan pelatihan yang telah mereka terima, dan mereka menginginkan pelatihan lainnya yang dapat diikuti secara daring. Kegiatan PKM ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital guru-guru SDN dan SMPN di Kota Tangerang Selatan.
