Abstract

The problem that exists in Sekolah Alam Kebun Tumbuh is that the level of children's reading interest in reading books is lacking, so it is necessary to socialize reading literacy which is followed up by optimizing reading literacy activities and it is hoped that student literacy will appear in reading.The purpose of this service is to develop reading literacy in kindergarten children of Sekolah Alam Kebun Tumbuh. This method of devotion uses three activities, namely reading aloud, sticking pictures, and mixing colors. In addition, this activity also aims to establish learning collaboration between teachers and parents when teaching students.  The conclusion of this dedication is the activity of developing reading literacy into good stimulation for students in increasing learning motivation. Another good result that also emerged was the growth of courage in displaying creations to others.

Abstract

Effective speaking skills are a crucial aspect in the world of education, especially for teachers as learning facilitators. However, there is a problem in terms of the lack of speaking skills that can attract the attention of the public and students in the class. This Community Service aims to overcome this problem by organizing formal emcee training for teachers. The solving method is carried out through intensive training that focuses on developing persuasive speaking skills, setting clear presentation structures, and increasing confidence when speaking in public. The training involves the active participation of teachers who wish to improve their speaking skills. The results of the service activities showed a significant increase in the speaking skills of the teachers after attending the training. They are able to captivate the public's attention with an attractive presentation style, deliver messages more effectively, and maintain positive interactions with listeners. In addition, the teachers also experienced an increase in self-confidence when appearing in public. In conclusion, formal presenter training is an effective method of improving speaking skills for teachers. Public speaking skills help create a more interactive learning environment and inspire students. It is hoped that the development of speaking skills will have a positive impact on the learning process and enhance the school's reputation in the educational community.

Abstract

The opening of a new study program at an institution must meet several aspects, including feasibility studies. The feasibility study can provide an overview of the prospects of the Study Program that will be opened. FKIP Universitas Terbuka (UT) has several potentials that can be considered to open a new Master of Education study program Indonesian. This research aims to produce an academic paper in the form of recommendations to UT leaders about whether or not the plan to open the Master of Education Study Program Indonesian be opened based on a) The response of prospective Master students to the plan to open a PJJ-based Indonesian Education Study Program; b) The competence of Master of Education graduates Indonesian needed by the community; c) Response from education experts (Association/reviwer Ban PT) to the feasibility of organizing a PJJ-based Indonesian Education S2 study program. The research method uses a descriptive design by conducting a survey in the form of questionnaire distribution, based on region. The results of the questionnaire data collection were analyzed using quantitative methods, then the FGD (interview) data was analyzed qualitatively using SWOT analysis. The research population of (1) undergraduate students of UT Indonesian Education who have programmed the TAP (Final Project Program) course, (2) Participants. Sampling using Proportional Area Random Sampling technique. The results showed that UT has the potential to open a Master of Education Indonesian study program. However, it is still necessary to develop and discuss in detail the curriculum that will be offered to prospective students

Abstract

This study aims to explain the violation of moral values in marriage commitments in the films Wedding Agreement the Series and Melur for Firdaus. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using content analysis. This research data is in the form of character dialogues in the films Wedding Agreement the Series and Melur for Firdaus. The results of this study show the phenomenon of moral values contained in the two films in the form of violations of marriage commitments depicted through the characterization of the characters Bian and Tari in the film Wedding Agreement the Series (Indonesia) with the characters Firdaus and Melur in the film Melur for Firdaus (Malaysia). Based on the analysis of the data it can be concluded that; 1) both films contain elements of violation of moral values, namely violation of marriage commitment in the form of the character's inability to uphold the promise of marriage 2) violation of norms that occurs due to the absence of emotional closeness between the characters as husband and wife, so that there is no passion to give or get physical and sexual satisfaction in the marriage which is reflected in the plot of the film

Abstract

This research examines the naming of housing on Jalan Ciputat-Parung as a form of toponymy study. The aim is to describe the naming of housing and find out what aspects are used for naming. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data sources from the naming of housing on Jalan Ciputat-Parung. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation and literature review. The research results show that the naming of housing on Jalan Ciputat-Parung is influenced by various factors, such as landscape, language, regional name, residential category, and so on. This research shows that housing naming is not just a label, but also reflects various aspects, such as the identity of the developer, target consumers, and characteristics of the housing environment. The study of toponymy can help us understand the meaning behind housing naming and how it influences people's perceptions and preferences. AbstrakPenelitian ini meneliti penamaan perumahan di Jalan Ciputat-Parung sebagai bentuk kajian toponimi. Tujuannya adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penamaan perumahan dan menemukan aspek yang digunakan untuk penamaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data dari penamaan perumahan di Jalan Ciputat-Parung. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan kajian pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penamaan perumahan di Jalan Ciputat-Parung dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, seperti bentang alam, bahasa, nama daerah, kategori hunian, dan lain-lain. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penamaan perumahan bukan hanya sebuah label, tetapi juga mencerminkan berbagai aspek, seperti identitas pengembang, target konsumen, dan karakteristik lingkungan perumahan. Kajian toponimi dapat membantu kita memahami makna di balik penamaan perumahan dan bagaimana hal itu memengaruhi persepsi dan preferensi masyarakat.

Abstract

When learning Indonesian in high school (SMA), scientific writing is one of the outcomes that students must be able to apply in the form of writing. In fact, scientific writing is difficult material for students. According to the 2013 curriculum, the scientific writing material should enable students to effectively compile and communicate their findings. On the other hand, in the merdeka curriculum, scientific writing serves as a report for each project to enhance the Pancasila students' profile (P5). The purpose of this study is to compare the process of writing scientific papers between the 2013 curriculum and the merdeka curriculum and analyze the resulting learning outcomes. The research conducted revealed the following findings: 1) there were differences in the outcomes of scientific writing learning between the 2013 curriculum and the merdeka curriculum, 2) the scientific writing learning process varied, with the 2013 curriculum only including Indonesian language subjects for scientific writing in class XI, while the merdeka curriculum scientific writing allowed collaboration with other subjects, and 3) the scientific writing guidance system in the 2013 curriculum solely focused on learning Indonesian during class, whereas in the merdeka curriculum, students received special guidance outside of class hours.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the social values in the novel The Hunger Games. The research method used is in the form of qualitative descriptive using content data analysis. The data of this research is in the form of words, sentences, and speech (dialogue) contained in the novel. The results of this study show that there is a social phenomenon in the story that contains competition, betrayal, and the existence of social gaps between the characters, but in this story there are also social values that can be learned, namely: 1) the value of affection consisting of loyalty, help, and care, 2) the value of responsibility in the form of the value of empathy and mutual ownership, 3) the value of life harmony in the form of cooperation.

Abstract

Abstract:Literature learning in class XI, one of which is that students are expected to be able to make poems from the literacy process. Variations in literacy are not only in short stories and novels but also in the form of understanding song lyrics. This study aims to analyze figures of speech and meaning in the lyrics of the songs Tutur Batin by Yura Yunita and Jiwa Yang Bersedih by Ghea Indrawari for learning literary skills in high school based on poetry writing skills. The research method used is qualitative-descriptive to describe the style and meaning of song lyrics that can be applied to learning literature in high school. Based on the results of this study, several figures of speech: (1) Comparative, consisting of personification, litotes, and synesthesia; (2) Affirmation, consisting of repetition, apheresis, rhetoric, ellipsis, and tautology; (3) Satirical, consisting of irony and cynicism. In addition, the lyrics of this song use rhyming words in each lyric. The meaning the song has in common is that it describes empathy and appreciates the struggle of someone who feels lonely and disappointed.Keywords: learning media; poetry; song.Abstrak: Pembelajaran sastra di kelas XI salah satunya peserta didik diharapkan dapat membuat puisi dari proses literasi. Variasi literasi tidak hanya dalam bentuk cerpen dan novel, tetapi juga berupa pemahaman lirik lagu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan gaya bahasa dan makna yang terkandung pada lirik lagu Tutur Batin karya Yura Yunita dan Jiwa yang Bersedih karya Ghea Indrawari sebagai media pembelajaran sastra di SMA yang dikolaborasikan dengan keterampilan menulis puisi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa dan makna pada lirik lagu yang dapat diterapkan untuk proses pembelajaran sastra. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan beberapa gaya bahasa, yaitu: (1) majas perbandingan yang terdiri dari personifikasi, litotes, sinestesia, (2) majas penegasan yang terdiri dari repetisi, aferesis, retoris, elipsis, dan tautologi, (3) majas sindiran yang terdiri dari ironi dan sinisme. Selain itu, dalam lirik lagu ini ditemukan penggunaan kata yang berima di setiap lirik yaitu akhiran vokal dan konsonan, makna lagu memiliki kesamaan yaitu menggambarkan tentang empati dan menghargai per-juangan seseorang yang merasa kesepian dan kecewa.Kata kunci: lagu; media pembelajaran; puisi.

Abstract

In the process of learning Indonesian scientific paper materials, one of the core competencies is the ability to compile and convey complete scientific findings through written papers. However, many students face difficulties when it comes to the writing process. This study aims to understand the learning process of scientific paper writing in the classroom, analyze the factors that contribute to students' struggles in developing scientific papers, and describe the challenges that students face. The research involved high school students who were studying scientific work materials. Qualitative research with descriptive analysis methods was used to gather data. The study revealed that external factors have a considerable impact on students struggling with writing scientific papers. These factors encompass a classroom atmosphere with insufficient learning support, an unsuitable learning environment for scientific paper writing, and inadequate provisions for planning and delivering appropriate learning materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran sanggar bahasa dan sastra Indonesia dalam meningkatkan literasi di sekolah terutama tingkat SMP maupun SMA sehingga dapat membentuk budaya literasi. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana ruang lingkup dan pengelolaan kegiatan sanggar bahasa dan sastra Indonesia berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan pemahaman karya sastra maupun ilmiah peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang mengeksplorasi eksistensi dan respon berkaitan dengan tujuan penelitian dalam bentuk kuesioner, serta melakukan wawancara mendalam dengan guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia sebagai responden. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sanggar bahasa dan sastra di sekolah masih belum optimal digiatkan, seperti: 1) pengelola sanggar masih berpusat pada guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia, 2) penyelenggaraan kegiatan sanggar dilakukan di saat kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dengan menyiapkan program kegiatan berbahasa dan bersastra, 3) belum seluruh sekolah memiliki ruang khusus sanggar, namun demikian terdapat beberapa sekolah yang optimal dalam memfasilitasi dan mengembangkan sanggar bahasa dan sastra Indonesia, sehingga dapat meningkatkan literasi dan keterampilan berbahasa peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan baru dalam pengembangan kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan informal yang lebih memperhatikan literasi di sekolah salah satunya melalui pengelolaan sanggar bahasa dan sastra Indonesia.
