Abstract

Nurses are one of the health teams whose role is to help DM sufferers to prevent diabetic foot, one of which is by teaching DM sufferers to do foot exercises. Foot exercise is an activity or physical exercise performed by patients with diabetes mellitus by moving their feet. One of the goals is to help improve blood circulation in the legs, to prevent diabetic ulcer. Community service activities with the theme "foot exercise as an effort to prevent diabetic foot in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus" have been carried out in collaboration with the Prolanis team at the Karang Pule Health Center in Mataram. The method used is education, demonstration, and then all participants practice how to do leg exercises. This activity was carried out as a concrete manifestation of the involvement of nurses in efforts to prevent diabetic foot in patients with type 2 DM. From this activity, it can be concluded that all participants could practice how to do foot exercises and they were active and enthusiastic about participating in all activities until the end. Based on the explanation above, it is necessary to carry out periodic foot exercise activities and monitor/examine ABI in an effort to prevent diabetic foot complications in type 2 DM patients.

Abstract

This research explores the complexity and diversity of the concepts of equality and diversity in the context of transgender individuals. Equality, both formal and substantive, is analyzed with reference to laws, norms, and the processes involved. Diversity, as a natural element in human life, encompasses differences in gender and gender identity. In the current situation, ambiguity regarding gender status gives rise to the phenomenon of transgender or transsexualism, where individuals experience a mismatch between their intrinsic gender identity and physical form. Society tends to respond to transgender individuals with negative views, creating stigmatization and social isolation. The study delves into the social, religious, legal, and medical perspectives on transgender individuals. While some view it as a violation of God's nature, the human rights perspective encourages the respect of human diversity. Using a qualitative method, the research presents descriptive analyses of literature data. The focus is on the negative impact and societal perceptions of transgender individuals, emphasizing the need for understanding and empathy. The Islamic perspective emphasizes the prohibition of gender change, while the conventional legal perspective highlights explicit regulatory deficiencies.

Abstract

This paper explores the dynamics of Orientalism in relation to the study of the Eastern world, particularly Islam, and examines the responses that have emerged from Muslim intellectuals. The study is motivated by the efforts of several Western Orientalists who systematically analyzed and interpreted Islamic teachings—including the Qur’an, Hadith, and Islamic history—with a tendency to diminish their values and authenticity. Using a critical textual analysis approach, this research examines Orientalist literature and Muslim intellectual responses. The findings reveal that Orientalist works often contain ideological biases and seek to influence Eastern perceptions to adopt a Western secular worldview, which frequently contradicts Islamic values. Muslim scholars have responded with strong critiques, targeting the motives, methodologies, and conclusions of Orientalist studies. This paper argues that Orientalism is not merely an academic endeavor, but also part of a broader ideological and political project aimed at dominating discourse and shaping the narrative of the Eastern world. The study highlights the urgency of developing a critical awareness of Orientalist productions and the need to strengthen authentic and balanced Islamic narratives.

Abstract

Background of study: The low academic achievement of students in understanding the elements of light vehicle engine systems, particularly in the subject of engine management systems (EMS) at SMK Negeri 3 Seluma, is caused by the lack of use of interactive learning media that are interesting and suited to the characteristics of the students. Therefore, there is a need to develop innovative and interactive learning media to improve student academic achievement. Aims and scope of paper: This research aims to develop ClassPoint-based interactive learning media  on engine management system (EMS) materials and test the feasibility and effectiveness of these media in improving student learning achievement. The scope of the research is focused on grade XI TKR students at SMK Negeri 3 Seluma on the competence of light vehicle engineering regarding the elements of the light vehicle engine system. Methods: The research method uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. Results: The results of the study showed that the ClassPoint-based learning media  developed was declared very feasible based on the results of validation of material experts, media experts, and positive responses from teachers and students with  an overall media feasibility assessment of 92.87% with an average percentage of 92.87%. In addition, the results of the effectiveness test showed a significant increase in student learning achievement, which was evidenced by the comparison of pretest and posttest scores between the experimental class and the control class using the t test with the result t calculated = 2.730 > t table = 1.995 (N=69, α=0.05). Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that ClassPoint-based interactive learning media is effective and feasible to be used as a learning tool in engine management system (EMS) materials to improve student learning achievement.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze and identify success factors in implementing independent curriculum in the era of revolution 4.0. The research method uses library research with the research object being the success factor in implementing an independent curriculum. The data is collected by documentation, namely looking for data regarding things in the form of articles and journals. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that there are eight factors for the success of implementing an independent curriculum in the era of revolution 4.0, namely the existence of structural coordination and communication, local or regional education offices preparing various principles such as the basic framework of the curriculum, madrasah curriculum, developing a curriculum framework, implementing an independent curriculum framework development strategy, providing training to teachers and madrasah heads regarding curriculum implementation, providing continuous instructor support, collecting data online, managing learning resources wisely. It can be concluded that the implementation of an independent curriculum is strongly indicated by technology which makes all parties such as madrasah heads, supervisors, teachers, education staff, the surrounding community and students attend and accompany technological developments.
