Abstract

Air is a gas that is indispensable for the survival of living beings. As the times progress, the air we breathe is increasingly not good for the health of living beings. In most situations, humans cannot tell the difference between good and bad air conditions. The purpose of this research is to design a tool that can monitor air quality in many places using an Internet of Things-based concept, the MQ-135 gas sensor and display it on a 16x2 LCD and Blynk application. This study uses a direct test method to identify gases around the MQ-135 sensor with the NodeMCU ESP 8266 as a controller. Air quality is divided into 5 categories, which consists of good, average, unhealthy, very unhealthy, and dangerous. After the air quality value is displayed on the 16x2 LCD screen, the user can monitor the air quality remotely using the blynk application on the smartphone. It can be concluded that the design of this tool can detect air quality in classrooms, vehicle exhaust fumes, gas lighters, house rooms, and burned paper. If the air quality is bad, the buzzer will release the sound to notify that the air quality is poor according to the index of air quality.

Abstract

Export is one of the most important ways for the country to generate income, which can have an impact on the country's economic stability. This research aims to forecast the value of Indonesian exports to G20 member countries. The Long Short-Term Memory method is used in this research to examine historical data on Indonesian exports from the previous 16 years. Experimental results show that the LSTM Neural Network method has the ability to predict the value of Indonesian exports to G20 member countries with a sufficient level of accuracy. The predictions generated by the model provide insight into trends and fluctuations in the value of exports in the future. The results of this study provide insight into the potential application of artificial intelligence techniques in economic and trade analysis. The results demonstrate that the LSTM model is capable of producing relatively accurate predictions, with an average score of Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) on training data is 0.10 and on testing data is 0.13, as well as graphs of prediction results demonstrating that the LSTM model can capture patterns and trends from Indonesia's export data to G20 countries. According to the prediction results, the highest export value to China is expected to be $6,100,000 in the 200th month (or in the year 2039), while the lowest export value to Mexico is expected to be $27,000 in the 135th month (or in the year 2034).

Abstract

This research aims to redesign and evaluate the usability of the SPADA website at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) by applying Nielsen’s Poisson Model in usability testing. The primary objective is to enhance the website's interface for both new and returning users while reducing the number of respondents needed for usability tests without compromising the validity of the results. The research involves several prototype development iterations, each tested by different respondent groups. Results indicate significant improvements in user satisfaction and a reduction in task completion time with each iteration. Nielsen’s Poisson Model was effective in identifying usability issues, with major problems resolved in early iterations and minor ones discovered in later phases. The final prototype is expected to significantly improve the usability of the SPADA UNPRI website.

Abstract

In the digital era, eye-tracking technology has emerged as a valuable non-invasive tool for assessing neurological and cognitive functions. This review explores five key methods for evaluating Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) using eye-tracking: fixation and saccade analysis, pupil size measurement, task-specific eye-tracking, reading task analysis, and novelty preference scores. Fixation and saccade metrics reveal significant disruptions in visual scanning and information processing in AD patients, characterized by longer fixation durations and reduced saccade frequency. Pupil size measurements indicate diminished cognitive load and emotional responsiveness. Task-specific eye-tracking, including tasks such as image description, shows difficulties in maintaining focus and interpreting visual stimuli. Reading task analysis highlights increased fixation durations and backward saccades, reflecting challenges in text comprehension and information retention. Novelty preference scores suggest reduced interest in new stimuli, correlating with cognitive decline. These findings underscore the potential of eye-tracking metrics for early detection and monitoring of AD, though variability in eye movement patterns and additional factors like sleep disorders emphasize the need for comprehensive diagnostic approaches.

Abstract

Indonesia experienced a decline in the number of tourists, with a 74.9 percent decrease in tourist arrivals in 2020 compared to 2019, which had a significant impact on the country's economy. However, in 2022, as Indonesia and the world were moving towards a normalization phase, the country began to see an increase in tourist visits. The exact number of tourists cannot be determined, but it is crucial to predict and forecast the future patterns of tourist arrivals so that the government and travel agencies can make informed decisions regarding policy changes. Therefore, the research problem in this study is how to apply the Exploratory Data Analyst (EDA) method and Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) to explore and predict the patterns of tourist arrivals in the future, providing guidance for determining appropriate policies. Based on the EDA results, the majority of tourist visits come from the Asian continent, with Malaysia contributing the highest number of tourists, followed by China and Timor-Leste. On the other hand, the LSTM method predicts that the highest number of tourist arrivals will occur in August 2024, with 580,000 visitors from the Asian continent, and in May 2025, with 580,000 visitors from ASEAN countries. The Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) for the LSTM method is 13.84 for the Asian continent and 15.96 for ASEAN countries.
