Abstract

The government through the Ministry of Education and Culture has facilitated the community to be able to improve education and living standards through non-formal education (PNF), one of which is called the Community Learning Activity Center (PKBM). PKBM can organize Equality Education Package A/B/C, the legality is regulated in Law no. 20/2003. In organizing this package program, teaching and learning activities in PKBM are guided by teaching staff who are called tutors. However, it is found that tutors who have diverse educational backgrounds, so the skills and teaching methods applied are still very simple and monotonous. This was also found in the PKBM Bumi Literasi located in Sigara-gara Village, Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regency. Based on the results of interviews and on-site observations, the tutors explained that such teaching methods had an impact on decreasing the learning interest of the learning community. Based on this, the team assumed the need to introduce the Student Centered Learning (SCL) teaching method to all PKBM Bumi Literasi tutors. So, the purposes of community service are to 1) introduce the methods, benefits, and functions of SCL to tutors, 2) explain the types of SCL methods, and 3) provide strategies and recommendations in applying SCL in the learning process. From the results of community service activities, the N-gain number is 0.70, which is normalized into the high category. This shows that after getting knowledge and exposure to material about SCL, the knowledge and teaching ability of PKBM Literacy tutors has increased

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, price and quality of service to the satisfaction of users of the Onna brand products at PT. Tunas Interior Batam. The samples in this study were 89 consumers who bought Onna products at PT. Tunas Interior in January 2018 until December 2018, sampling using the Slovin formula with a population of 851 people. Data analysis using Multiple Regression test, hypothesis testing using the coefficient of determination (R2), partial test (t test), and simultaneous test (F test), while processing using SPSS 20. The results of research using the coefficient of determination test showed that the quality of the product, price and quality of service are able to explain its existence to the variable of customer satisfaction, besides that partially product quality, price and service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, simultaneously product quality, price and quality of service have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 yang melanda dunia saat ini telah merubah tatanan kehidupan manusia. Masyarakat dunia di wajibkan untuk mengikuti aturan yang berlaku di masing-masing negara sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan oleh organisasi kesehatan Dunia dampak nyata pandemi ini adalah perlambatan ekonomi hampir diseluruh negara di dunia. Pariwisata dan perhotelan merupakan yang paling fatal terdampak. banyak hotel yang tutup dan tidak mampu untuk beroperasional akibat tidak adanya tamu juga adanya pembatasan perjalanan dan bepergian. Dampaknya adalah angka pengangguran meningkat akibat banyaknya pemutusan hubungan kerja. Penelitian disini menggunakan metode kualitatif dimana hasil yang didapat setelah melakukan wawancara dengan informan juga menyebarkan kuisioner adalah bahwa benar pandemi covid-19 sangat berpengaruh terhadap tingkat hunian kamar pada Hotel Garuda Plaza Medan.

Abstract

Sumber daya manusia merupakan aset dan modal suatu negara ataupun organisasi yang harus menjadi perhatian agar menghasilkan keunggulan kompetitif dalam menghadapi persaingan secara global. Salah satu faktor keberhasilan sebuah negara ataupun organisasi adalah Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yang didalamnya, tetapi sumber daya manusia yang dibutuhkan merupakan sumber daya manusia yang berkompeten. SDM yang dibutuhkan adalah yang kompeten dan memiliki kompetensi tertentu yang dibutuhkan agar dapat menunjang keberhasilan pelaksanaan pekerjaannya. Permasalahan yang masih ada masa ini adalah tingginya tingkat pengangguran disebabkan oleh masih banyaknya sumber daya manusia yang tidak berkompeten. SDM merupakan modal manusia dalam suatu negara ataupun perusahaan yang tidak hanya mengandalkan hard skillnya saja tetapi aspek soft skill pun harus dikembangkan dengan strategi yang tepat agar mencapai kinerja yang terbaik. Salah satu strategi yang dapat diusulkan oleh peneliti dalam permasalahan ini adalah melalui strategi peningkatan kompetensi SDM melalui pelatihan Soft Skill. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi perpustakaan dan kualitatif untuk melahirkan interpretasi dalam menangkap arti yang lebih dalam dengan mengelaborasikannya. Strategi yang ditekankan oleh peneliti adalah strategi peningkatan kompetensi SDM melalui pelatihan Soft Skill agar mampu menjadi aset bagi negara dan organisasi di kancah global.

Abstract

Soft skills are very important in addition to academic knowledge. Soft skills are also non-technical abilities such as being able to think critically and time management. In the world of work, companies are not only looking for prospective employe with good hard skills but also for the soft skills they have. This is very important to be socialized and give knowledge to students in high school because they are the future successors of the nation who will enter the world of lectures and work, to improve their quality. One thing that can be done is the Community Service Training (PKM) activity entitled 'Improving the Quality of Human Resources Through Soft skill Training' where the participants of this activity consist of students from SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan. The methods given are briefing, presentation, discussion, case study, and final evaluation. This activity aims to provide understanding and mastery of soft skills to improve the quality of human resources. The result of this activity concluded that this activity was very helpful for participants in increasing their understanding and awareness of improving soft skills.

Abstract

penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh disiplin terhadap kinerja karyawan bagian produksi PT. X. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 60 orang karyawan bagian produksi pada PT. X. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari disiplin dan kinerja karyawan Data dikumpulkan dengan penyebaran kuisioner dan studi pustaka, kuisioner dikembangkan dari indikator-indikator masing-masing variabel yang menjadi pengamatan. Uji data dilakukan dengan validitas dan reliabilitas, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana, dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan koefisien determinasi dan uji parsial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa disiplin berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Sapta Pesona Program on the level of tourist visits to Ergendang Cave. Data collection techniques used in this study are: observation, interviews, and questionnaires. After all the data is obtained then the data uses spss 28.0. From the results of testing the data that has been processed, the first termination coefficient is 0.227 or 2.7%, indicating that the saptapesona and facilities variables are able to express variations in the number of tourist visits to the Ergendang Cave tourist attraction. The two Sapta Pesona variables have a partial effect on tourist visits, the facility variable has a positive effect on the number of visitors to the Ergendang Cave tourist attraction and is partially significant. The three charms and facilities in the Ergendang Cave also increase the number of visitors.

Abstract

Service quality is very important in the development of a hotel, namely to attract guests who come and become regular visitors, as well as price and location. Price and location is one of the keys to the success of a business, especially in the hospitality sector. Currently every hotel has the goal of ensuring an adequate level of profitability from its core activities, which can be achieved not only by reducing the cost of providing hotel services, but also by setting an optimal price for their services. and the location at the Hotel Pansur Gading Ressort. The respondents of this study were 20% of all hotel guests, namely 40 people. This research method used SPSS 25, the data analysis method was descriptive quantitative, and this study used multiple linear regression analysis mode. The results of this study explain that the better the quality of service, price and location, the higher the level of visitors. Partially, the service quality and price variables of this study have no effect on the dependent variable And Resort. However, the location variable has a positive and significant effect on the purchasing decisions of visitors at Pancur Gading Hotel And Resort.

Abstract

Lecturers are an asset of a higher education institution that must be concerned for competitive advantage in facing the changing needs of education. Lecturers also have the obligation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Teaching, Research, and Service. In research and service, lecturers need to publish articles both nationally and internationally. In an article that will be published, it must require them to write an abstract.  The lecturers needed are competent and have certain competencies needed in order to support the implementation of the tri dharma of higher education. The problem seen is that there are still many lecturers who make mistakes in making abstracts in articles to be published. It is very important to be given the training to increase knowledge for lecturers to improve the quality of their article writing. One thing that can be done is the community service training activity entitled ‘Improving Lecturer Competence Through scientific training for international publication where participants in this activity consist of lecturers from Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Manajemen (STIM) Sukma Medan. The method given is presentation, discussion, case study, and final evaluation. This activity aims to improve competence in writing abstracts of scientific papers. The result of this activity concluded that this activity was very helpful for participants in increasing their understanding and awareness in writing abstracts of scientific papers.

Abstract

Mental health is not something that is not considered important nowadays, especially mental health in women, in fact, it is found that 47 percent of women are at a higher risk of experiencing mental health disorders than men. The high number of stresses in women can be triggered by various factors, such as family and the surrounding environment. For this reason, women, especially those who are married and working, are expected to care more about their mental health and be able to manage stress by recognizing symptoms of mental health disorders, their triggers, and how to manage stress. In this community service, community service will be carried out in the form of increasing understanding of mental health in women and stress management. This activity was carried out using the method of delivering material or workshops and continued with the practice of mindfulness (meditation) accompanied by counselors who were attended by 30 members of the Dharma Wanita Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) Representatives of Maluku Province. Participants feel more educated with the material that has been delivered as well as mindfulness practices that can be applied every day.
