Abstract

Discipline, self-confidence, and honesty are three important qualities that play a role in individual success in various areas of life. Often one of the factors that influences these three characteristics is gender. Gender, as a social and biological construct, plays an important role in shaping individual behavior, attitudes, and beliefs. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of gender on the level of discipline, self-confidence, and accuracy in students. This study used quantitative research with data analysis techniques, namely logistic regression analysis with 105 samples, namely students in Denpasar City. The results of this study can be seen from the significance value, the first model can be stated as a model that can be used, namely gender can affect the level of discipline while the second and third models can be stated as gender cannot affect the level of self-confidence and honesty. Furthermore, the chance of a female student having a tendency towards discipline is 3.228 times greater than that of a male student.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to know and analyze the execution procession of tradition of naur danda in exogamy marriage system in Gobleg village of Banjar Subdistrict of Buleleng Regency. The research was conducted qualitatively. Data were collected through observation, interview and literature study. The tradition of naur danda in the exogamy marriage system in Gobleg Adat Village, Banjar Sub-district, Buleleng District, combines theories consisting of religious theories from Clifford Geertz theory from Robert K. Merton and the theory of symbols From Geertz.The result of the research shows that the theological meaning of the naur danda tradition in Eksogami Marriage in Gobleg Traditional Village is the meaning of worship of the god yadnya, rsi yadnya, pitra yadnya, manusa yadnya and bhuta yadnya or nature. But most importantly, the worship of the Betawi Ida of 39 manifestations that berstana at Pura Pemulungan Agung / Pura Desa, which is a combination of 33 temples and manifestations of God with different degrees and functions.Keywords: Tradition naur danda, Marriage, Religious and Traditional Village Gobleg.

Abstract

Ritual Bhuta Yadnya, yang terwujud dalam praktik caru dan sesajen, merupakan pilar penting dalam kehidupan spiritual masyarakat Hindu Bali. Namun, pemahaman terhadap landasan filosofisnya sering kali tersebar dalam berbagai kajian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan tinjauan literatur yang komprehensif guna mensintesis dan menganalisis konsep keseimbangan yang menjadi dasar filosofis dari praktik Bhuta Yadnya. Dengan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research), sebanyak 20 artikel ilmiah yang relevan dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa landasan utama praktik caru dan sesajen adalah implementasi dari ajaran Tri Hita Karana, yang bertujuan menjaga keharmonisan antara manusia dengan Tuhan (Parhyangan), sesama manusia (Pawongan), dan alam lingkungan (Palemahan). Literatur yang ada juga mengidentifikasi bahwa ritual ini memiliki kekayaan simbolis dalam setiap elemennya dan menjalankan spektrum fungsi yang luas, meliputi aspek religius, sosial, ekologis, ekonomi, dan sebagai penanda identitas budaya. Tinjauan ini menyimpulkan bahwa Bhuta Yadnya bukanlah sekadar tradisi, melainkan sebuah sistem filosofis yang kompleks dan dinamis untuk menjaga keseimbangan kosmis.

Abstract

The phenomenon occurring at Hut.Bali Seminyak Restaurant indicates employee discipline issues reflected in the habit of forgetting to record daily attendance. This condition suggests a decline in work discipline that may affect employee performance and the overall operational effectiveness of the restaurant. This study aims to determine the influence of work discipline, career development, and reward on employee performance at Hut.Bali Seminyak Restaurant. The sampling technique used is a saturated sample, involving a total of 35 employees as respondents. This research employs a quantitative approach, with data analysis techniques including validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using SPSS version 29. The results show that work discipline, career development, and reward each have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. Future research is suggested to include additional variables such as work motivation or work environment to obtain more comprehensive results. Furthermore, management is expected to consistently provide training, career opportunities, and implement a measurable and transparent performance evaluation system to create a productive and fair work environment.
