Abstract

This study investigates the use of game-based learning media to enhance students' interest in Physical Education (PE). With the growing need for innovative teaching methods to engage students, game-based media is considered an effective tool to improve motivation and learning outcomes. The research was conducted with high school students at MAN 1 Medan, where they were exposed to game-based learning for eight weeks. Data were collected through questionnaires to assess changes in student interest before and after the intervention. The results showed a significant increase in students' interest in PE (p < 0.05) after using game-based learning media. This indicates that incorporating games into PE lessons can make learning more engaging and enjoyable, leading to greater student participation and improved learning experiences. Furthermore, the study found that game-based learning also fostered improved social skills and teamwork among students. Despite some challenges, such as technical difficulties and limited practice time, the findings suggest that game-based learning is a promising approach to enhance the quality of PE instruction. The study recommends further development and integration of game-based media into the PE curriculum to provide more interactive and effective learning opportunities.

Abstract

Penelitian pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan bakat dan potensi olahraga siswa di Kota Medan pada tahun 2025, sebagai bagian dari upaya pengembangan olahraga berbasis pendidikan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 300 siswa dari berbagai sekolah di 21 kecamatan Kota Medan, dengan metode identifikasi bakat melalui tes fisik dan psikologis. Tes fisik mencakup pengukuran kekuatan otot, kelincahan, daya tahan tubuh, dan keseimbangan, sedangkan tes psikologis bertujuan untuk menilai minat dan motivasi siswa terhadap berbagai cabang olahraga. Hasil pemetaan menunjukkan bahwa sepak bola, bola basket, dan bulutangkis merupakan cabang olahraga dengan partisipasi tertinggi, sementara beberapa siswa juga menunjukkan bakat di olahraga individu seperti renang dan atletik. Kerjasama antara Dinas Pendidikan Kota Medan, Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Kota Medan, serta sekolah-sekolah di tingkat kecamatan sangat mendukung kelancaran pelaksanaan kegiatan ini. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar untuk menyusun program pembinaan olahraga yang lebih terfokus, serta menciptakan potensi atlet muda yang dapat berprestasi di tingkat nasional dan internasional. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan dampak positif dalam menciptakan ekosistem olahraga yang lebih terstruktur di Kota Medan, dengan tujuan pengembangan bakat olahraga sejak dini.

Abstract

The standardization of raw materials from nature is essential before they are made into products. Until now, there is still limited information regarding the standardization of propolis from stingless bees. This research aims to determine the bioactivity with standardized specific and non-specific parameters of ethanol extracts from Homotrigona apicalis and Homotrigona fimbriata propolis. The methods include organoleptic tests, tests for water-soluble and ethanol-soluble compound content, drying shrinkage tests, specific gravity tests, water content tests, metal contamination tests, phytochemical screening, and determining total phenolic and flavonoid content. The free radical scavenging capacity was measured using the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) method, and antimicrobial activity against Candida albicans, Propionibacterium acnes, Streptococcus mutans, Salmonella typhi, and Escherichia coli was assessed using the agar well diffusion method. The results indicated that the standardization parameters tested on H. apicalis and H. fimbriata propolis met the standard criteria. Both species contain alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, tannins, and saponins. Generally, the propolis extracts from these two stingless bees exhibit potential antioxidant and antimicrobial effects. The total phenolic content for H. apicalis was 0.963 ± 0.041 mg GAE/g, while for H. fimbriata, it was 0.345 ± 0.004 mg GAE/g. The total flavonoid content for H. apicalis was 12.066 ± 0.465 mg QE/g, and for H. fimbriata, it was 9.325 ± 0.031 mg QE/g. All these results can be used as a reference for developing products derived from stingless bees.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji korelasi antara motivasi intrinsik dengan prestasi belajar pendidikan jasmani pada siswa SMA Negeri 21 Medan tahun 2025. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari pentingnya motivasi intrinsik sebagai faktor internal yang mendorong siswa untuk terlibat aktif dan berprestasi dalam pembelajaran jasmani. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 21 Medan sebanyak 725 orang, dengan sampel 215 siswa yang ditentukan melalui teknik proportional random sampling. Data motivasi intrinsik dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner berbasis Self-Determination Theory, sementara prestasi belajar diperoleh dari nilai rapor mata pelajaran pendidikan jasmani semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji korelasi Pearson Product-Moment pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara motivasi intrinsik dan prestasi belajar pendidikan jasmani dengan koefisien korelasi r = 0,482 dan nilai signifikansi p < 0,001. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi motivasi intrinsik siswa, semakin tinggi pula prestasi belajar yang dicapai. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya menumbuhkan motivasi intrinsik melalui strategi pembelajaran jasmani yang mendukung otonomi, kompetensi, dan keterhubungan siswa.

Abstract

Given the strong connection between physical activities, such as sports, and factors like quality of life, health, and overall well-being, it is crucial for every person to cultivate an interest in sports. Many sports that are popular throughout the community are categorised as "traditional." Traditional sports are activities that take place on a flat or level surface and involve the use of conventional equipment. There are two sorts of characteristics, namely intrinsic and extrinsic variables, that can impact an individual's inclination for traditional athletics. The investigation sought to ascertain the level of enthusiasm for conventional sports among students at Bina Guna STOK. This inquiry utilised quantitative descriptive analysis. The population being utilised refers to the group of students from the 2023 cohort at PJKR STOK Bina Guna Medan. The snowball sample technique, encompassing a total of fifty individuals, was employed. A questionnaire is a research tool that is utilised. The findings of the comprehensive analysis indicate that students at STIKP Pasundan have a significant inclination towards traditional sports, with a 4% share classified as "moderate," 58% as "high," and 28% as "very high." Based on the percentage of interest, the average value obtained for the interest of Bina Guna STOK students in traditional sports is classed as "High".

Abstract

Stress pada remaja yang terjadi di lingkungan pendidikan dalam hal ini pesantren dengan dinamika hubungan sosial yang beragam dan mata Pelajaran serta kegiatan dengan intensitas tinggi serta deraan rasa rindu pada keluarga dan kebosanan pada ruang gerak yang sangat terbatas dan monoton sangat berperan menjadi penyebab timbulnya stress yang dapat diartikan atau disimpulkan sebagai suatu ketegangan atau krisis mental bagi santri. Penyuluhan ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman kepada santri bagaimana mengenali dan mengelola stress serta bagaimana mengatur waktu dalam hal aktifitas akademik dan aktifitas lainnya dalam pandangan Islam dan Psikologi Pendidikan dengan harapan meminimalisir Tingkat ketegangan santri dan menekan munculnya stress atau meningkatkan kemampuan bagaimana mengelola stress jika terlanjur ada. Penyuluhan ini dilakukan dalam 4 sesi: 1) sesi penjelasan materi substansi; 2) sesi penyuluhan dalam perspektif Islam; 3) sesi penyuluhan dalam perspektif psikologi Pendidikan, dan 4) sesi pelatihan penanganan stress. Dilaksanakan pada tanggal 17 sampai 18 Mei bertempat di aula Pondok Pesantren Daarul Yatama wal Masakin Jerowaru Lombok Timur dengan melibatkan seluruh pengurus dan pengasuh pesantren dan segenap santri yang terdiri dari 201 orang santri putri dan 52 orang santri putra. Penyuluhan berlangsung sangat memuaskan dengan tingginya Tingkat antusiasme peserta serta adanya permintaan pelatihan Tingkat lanjut pada guru dan pengasuh pesantren agar dapat menciptakan lingkungan yang nyaman bagi para santri.

Abstract

Abstrak Hilirisasi riset dan inovasi merupakan strategi penting dalam menerjemahkan hasil penelitian akademis menjadi produk dan layanan yang dapat memberikan nilai tambah di pasar. Namun, tantangan seperti kurangnya sumber daya dan budaya kewirausahaan masih menjadi hambatan yang perlu diatasi. Kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi, industri, dan pemerintah menjadi kunci untuk mengoptimalkan peluang bisnis dari riset dan inovasi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman terhadap peran penting perguruan tinggi dalam menghasilkan riset dan inovasi yang berpotensi menjadi peluang bisnis yang berkelanjutan, dan solusi terhadap permaslahan yang ada sekarang. Evaluasi terhadap kegiatan webinar dilakukan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat serupa di masa depan. Hasil dari evaluasi tersebut menunjukan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap pentingnya hilirisasi riset dan inovasi. Kegiatan ini diharapkan peserta untuk terus menjadi penggerak dalam menciptakan dampak positif secara ekonomi dan sosial melalui inovasi teknologi dan layanan. Kata kunci: hilirisasi riset; inovasi; perguruan tinggi; bisnis; kolaborasi; tantangan. Abstract  The research and innovation is an important strategy in output implemetation of academic research into products and services that can provide added value in the market. However, challenges such as the limited resources and entrepreneurial culture are still obstacles that need to be overcome. Collaboration between universities, industry and government is the key to optimizing business opportunities from research and innovation. This community service activity aims to provide an understanding of the important role of universities in producing research and innovation that has potential to become sustainable business opportunities and solutions to current problems. Evaluation of webinar activities is carried out to increase the effectiveness of future activities. The results of this evaluation showed that there was an increased in participants' understanding of the importance of downstream research and innovation. Participants in this community service activity hope that this activity can be a driving force in creating positive economic and social impacts through technological and service innovation. Keywords: research downstreaming; innovation; universities; business; collaboration; challenges.
