Abstract

Background. Information and communication technology development has brought significant changes in how learning is carried out, primarily through e-learning platforms. From the introduction of u-learning (ubiquitous learning) that allows access to learning anywhere and anytime to the emergence of adaptive learning systems driven by artificial intelligence (AI), this evolution continues to change the educational landscape. Purpose. This study examines the evolution of e-learning platforms from u-learning to AI-based adaptive learning systems. The main focus is understanding how each development phase has improved learning effectiveness and met individual learning needs. Method. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature study methods. Data was gathered from various academic sources, including journals, books, and conference reports discussing the evolution of e-learning. Thematic analysis is used to identify critical patterns and trends in developing e-learning platforms. Results. The results show that the evolution of e-learning has brought significant improvements in accessibility, interactivity, and personalization of learning. U-learning allows for more flexible access to education. At the same time, AI-based adaptive learning systems offer a more personalized learning experience by tailoring teaching materials and methods according to student’s needs and abilities. These findings emphasize the importance of technology in improving learning effectiveness and efficiency. Conclusion. The study concludes that e-learning platforms have evolved significantly from u-learning to AI-based adaptive learning systems, improving learning quality and effectiveness. Integrating AI in e-learning offers excellent potential for creating more personalized and compelling learning experiences. Recommendations for follow-up research include further exploring the long-term impact of adaptive learning systems and developing more advanced technologies to support more inclusive and efficient learning.

This study aims to determine the irrigators of ethno-religious based jigsaw models to improve students' critical thinking skills in learning Islamic religious education in Indonesia. This type of research is quantitative research with a meta-analysis approach. This study analyzed 27 effect sizes obtained from Google scholars, ERIC, Wiley, and Taylor of Francis from the 2021-2024 issue with 1034 students. The JASP application assists the data analysis in this study.  Effect size analysis is calculated with a 95% confidence level. The study results concluded that the effect size value obtained through the random effect model was 1,952 (high effect size category). These findings explain that, on average, students who apply the ethno-religious-based jigsaw model are effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in learning Islam. This study provides important information on using the jigsaw model in the future.

Abstract

Learning loss as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic has become a serious challenge in the world of education, especially at the elementary and secondary school levels. This article aims to examine the potential  of the Love Curriculum approach  as an innovative solution in overcoming learning loss. Using the literature review method, this article analyzes various relevant literature related to compassion-based curriculum, affective pedagogy, and humanistic approaches in education. The results of the study show that the Love Curriculum approach that emphasizes the value of empathy, attention, and positive teacher-student relationships can improve the learning climate, increase motivation, and recover students' academic and social-emotional lags. The practical implications of this study point to the importance of teacher training, strengthening value-based curriculum, and collaboration between schools and parents to create a loving learning environment. This article recommends the implementation of the Love Curriculum as a complementary strategy in national learning recovery policies. These findings are expected to be a conceptual contribution to the development of a more humane and transformative educational model in the post-pandemic era.

Abstract

This paper examines verses of the Qur'an on the diagnosis of student learning difficulties. Learning difficulties or problems can be known based on symptoms manifested in various forms of behavior, both cognitively, affectively, and psychomotorly. This paper uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The results showed that the diagnosis of the Qur'ani can be done through three stages, namely understanding students who have disorders, localizing learning difficulties, and detecting learning difficulties in depth while providing appropriate alternative solutions. The solution given to students who have learning difficulties is to perform stages according to student needs
