Abstract

Conducting analysis of efficiency, risk-taking behavior and market share of Islamic Banking in Indonesia. Conducted to answer the question of the still low market share of sharia banking in the national banking industry. The presence of Sharia Banking on dual banking system is still minimal. The monthly data sample of 34 Shariah Bank in Indonesia (11 Sharia Commercial Banks, 13 Sharia Business Units) is used to test the research hypothesis for the period from 2014 to 2017 using the estimator Generalized Method of Moments. The results show that there is a significant relationship and / or influence between the efficiency, risk-taking behavior and market share of Sharia Banking in Indonesia. Effect of moderation Efficiency and Risk-Taker Behavior on Financial Performance of Sharia Banking. Research limitations/ implications - Firstly, this paper focuses only on the sharia banking industry in Indonesia that adopts pro-active models, and therefore, expanding the investigation to include countries adopting different models may provide a better and more comprehensive view of the correlation between efficiency, risk-taking behavior and market share of Sharia Banking. Secondly, there is a need for more empirical data to be used, such as 7 years or more. This paper provides empirical evidence to regulators and policymakers in Indonesia, to understand how to increase the market share of sharia banking to the national banking industry. Furthermore, the sharia banking shareholder intends to increase the market share of sharia banking as one of the pillars of sharia finance in Indonesia which continues to grow. Previous studies have only discussed financial performance, efficiency and risk-taker behaviors without linking to market share levels. Abstract

The internet is one of the media needed in the Madura University Office, whether to find information or download and upload research files. The Peer Connection Queue (HTB) method used for bandwidth distribution in the Madura University Office LAN network is weak. It is not optimal in using the network when traffic is heavy, and there is a bandwidth leak, and the divided bandwidth is not following the rules. Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) is a method that can maximize bandwidth and manage bandwidth on the network hierarchically with a priority system based on the class on the network. This study aims to compare the previous method, namely PCQ, with HTB, which is implemented on a Linux CentOS server. The method will be compared using the calculation of QoS (Quality Of Service), which is a method of calculating network quality, in this study will calculate delay, jitter, throughput on the PCQ and HTB methods. In this study, the authors use the open-source HTB-Tools application to implement the HTB method, which is expected to maximize bandwidth usage and comfort users in the Madura University environment.Keywords: Bandwidth, Hierarchical Token Bucket, CentOS, HTB-Tools ABSTRAKInternet merupakan salah satu media yang dibutuhkan di lingkungan Kantor Universitas Madura, baik itu untuk mencari informasi, ataupun mengunduh dan mengupload berkas  penelitian. Metode Peer Connection Queue (HTB)  yang digunakan untuk pembagian bandwidth di jaringan LAN Kantor Universitas Madura memiliki kelemahan sehingga tidak optimal dalam penggunaan jaringan saat traffic sedang padat dan terjadi kebocoran bandwidth sehingga bandwidth yang terbagi tidak sesuai dengan aturan. Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) merupakan metode yang mampu  memaksimalkan bandwidth dan mengatur bandwidth pada jaringan secara hierarki  dengan sistem prioritas berdasarkan kelas yang berada pada jaringan. Tujuan dari penelitian membandingkan metode sebelumnya yaitu PCQ dengan HTB yang diimplementasikan di server Linux CentOS. Metode tersebut akan dibandingkan menggunakan perhitungan QoS (Quality Of Service) yang merupakan metode perhitungan kualitas jaringan, pada penelitian ini akan menghitung delay, jitter, througrput pada metode PCQ dan HTB. Pada Penelitian ini penulis menggunakan aplikasi open source HTB-Tools untuk menerapkan metode HTB yang diharapkan dapat memaksimalkan penggunaan bandwidth serta memberi kenyamanan bagi pengguna di lingkungan Universitas Madura.Kata Kunci: Bandwidth, Hierarchical Token Bucket, CentOS, HTB-Tools

Abstract

Village Fund Direct Cash Assistance (BLT-DD) is cash assistance provided by the government to eligible residents through Village Officials whose recipients are determined based on many criteria. The process determine who is the most eligible citizen to be the recipient of BLT-DD takes a long time because of the large number of residents and the existence of several criteria used. There is a need for a decision support system that can assist village officials in choosing who is entitled to receive BLT-DD assistance. In this study, the application uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Multi Attributee Rating Technique (SMART) methods. The criteria used are, get assistance, income, floor area, type of floor, type of wall, and education. By using the AHP method, it is possible to optimize the weighting of the criteria and the SMART method to produce a ranking of residents who are entitled to receive BLT-DD. The results of the study indicate that this application can be used to provide recommendations to village officials in determining BLT-DD recipients.

Abstract

In the competitive business world, companies are required to have an effective and objective performance appraisal system. One crucial aspect of employee performance appraisal is the annual bonus distribution. One effort to improve employee performance is by providing annual bonuses. For this reason, currently, many companies are implementing this bonus so that their employees are motivated to improve and increase the quality of their work. One of them is a CV. Laras Alam Pamekasan. CV. Laras Alam Pamekasan is a company operating in the tobacco sector specifically supplying PT. Djarum Tobacco. Every year, CV. Laras Alam provides annual bonuses according to employee performance. However, bonuses are still based on rough calculations. That's why research was conducted to produce a decision support system in determining employee annual bonuses based on performance. This research uses the Profile Matching method. Profile Matching is one method in performance appraisal systems that uses a comparative approach between employee profiles and predefined ideal profiles. The aspects used in determining employee annual bonuses are the Work Attitude Aspect including criteria, behavior, responsibility, and cooperation. Performance Aspects include criteria, discipline, absenteeism, acceptance of additional assignments, and loyalty. From this research, a trial was carried out on 22 employees and then calculations and rankings were carried out.

Abstract

Dynamic ARP Inspection (DAI) is a security feature that helps prevent Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) spoofing attacks, which can compromise the integrity and confidentiality of data in a network. This paper presents the implementation and simulation of DAI using Cisco Packet Tracer, a network simulation tool. The goal is to show how DAI can be configured and used to improve network security by verifying ARP packets in a switched network. The implementation involved setting up a network topology with switches and end devices, configuring DHCP snooping, and enabling DAI on the switches. Simulations tested various scenarios, including normal operation, ARP spoofing attacks, and the network response to these attacks with DAI enabled. The results show that DAI effectively mitigates ARP spoofing attacks, ensuring only legitimate ARP packets are forwarded, thus protecting the network from potential security breaches. The study concludes that implementing DAI is an important step in securing networks, especially in environments with sensitive data and high security needs. This paper serves as a practical guide for network administrators looking to improve their network security posture using Cisco Packet Tracer.

Abstract

This research highlights the detection of security vulnerabilities on websites using OWASP ZAP, a highly regarded open-source web security testing tool. Through a comprehensive literature review approach and systematic research methodology, this research emphasizes the urgency of addressing the ever-evolving security threats in web systems. Web security is a crucial aspect of information technology as more and more sensitive data is transmitted through web applications. OWASP ZAP, recognized for its reliability in identifying various security holes, was used to evaluate its effectiveness and efficiency in detecting vulnerabilities in web applications. This tool assists developers and security researchers in finding and fixing weaknesses that could be exploited by attackers. The results of the study show that OWASP ZAP is not only effective in identifying vulnerabilities such as SQL Injection, XSS (Cross-Site Scripting), and misconfiguration but also provides practical solutions to strengthen overall web security. Additionally, this research identifies several challenges faced when using OWASP ZAP and offers recommendations to address these issues. This study makes a significant contribution towards a better understanding of web security and offers recommendations for the implementation of better security testing tools in web development environments. Consequently, this research encourages the adoption of more proactive and systematic security practices in web application development.

Abstract

Monitoring water quality in fish ponds is essential to maintain fish health and productivity. In recent years, Internet of Things (IoT) technology has emerged as an effective solution to efficiently monitor and manage water quality. This article describes the application of IoT technology in monitoring the water quality of aquaculture ponds with the aim of improving fish productivity and welfare. Data on water quality parameters such as temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, ammonia levels, and turbidity can be monitored in real time through a network of connected sensors. The main advantage of using IoT for fish pond water quality monitoring is that it can provide accurate and fast information on water conditions. This allows fish farmers to proactively take appropriate actions to maintain an optimal water environment for fish growth. In addition, integration with data management and remote monitoring systems allows fish pond owners to continuously monitor water conditions, even in remote locations. This helps reduce the risk of environmental damage and fish loss due to inappropriate water quality conditions. Therefore, the use of IoT technology for water quality monitoring in fish ponds not only increases productivity but also ensures the well-being of fish and reduces negative impacts on the environment.

Abstract

In an era of rapid urbanization, the quality of network services in urban environments is becoming increasingly important. This article explores efforts to improve network service quality in several sampang cities through an evaluation of Quality of Service (QoS) and user perceptions of Quality of Experience (QoE). The research is based on a survey conducted at various locations in sampang city to collect data on the reliability, speed, and availability of network services. The survey involved a diverse sample of users, covering a wide range of ages, professions, and levels of technology usage. In addition, we also analyzed users' perceptions of service quality based on their experiences of using the network in an urban environment. The results highlighted several key challenges in improving QoS, such as user density, signal interference, and network infrastructure limitations. However, we also found that strategies such as the use of advanced network technologies, such as 5G and beamforming, as well as traffic prioritization based on application type, can help to significantly improve QoS. In addition, we found a strong positive correlation between improved QoS and improved QoE, suggesting that improved quality of service has a direct impact on improving user experience. These findings provide valuable insights for network operators and policy makers in their efforts to improve network services in dense urban environments. The research also recommends further investment in network technologies and the development of policies that support more effective management of network traffic to ensure optimal quality of service.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of distance on Wi-Fi signal quality in a home environment. With the increasing use of wireless devices and applications that rely on internet connectivity, Wi-Fi signal quality has become crucial to support daily activities such as streaming, online gaming, remote work, and smart home automation. This research employs an experimental method by measuring signal strength and data transmission speed at various distances from the Wi-Fi router. Measurements were taken at several points, ranging from 1 meter to 15 meters from the router, in different rooms and through different obstacles like walls and furniture.To conduct the analysis, a Wi-Fi analyzer was used to measure signal strength (in dBm) and a speed test was employed to determine data transmission speed (in Mbps) at each distance. The results showed that the greater the distance from the router, the Wi-Fi signal strength decreased significantly, leading to a corresponding decrease in data transmission speed. In addition, obstacles such as walls and electronic interference further degraded the signal quality.This study concludes that optimizing router placement and using signal booster devices, such as Wi-Fi extenders or mesh networks, can be effective solutions to improve Wi-Fi signal quality at home. It also highlights the importance of understanding and managing home network infrastructure to maximize Wi-Fi usage efficiency. By strategically placing routers and employing additional network hardware, users can ensure a stable and fast internet connection throughout their home, enhancing the overall user experience and productivity. Research provides valuable insights for homeowners and technology enthusiasts on how to achieve optimal Wi-Fi performance in various home environments.
