Abstract

Ikan bawal merupakan salah satu komoditas dengan nilai ekonomis yang tinggi karena sebagai ikan konsumsi, ikan ini memiliki cita rasa daging yang gurih dan mempunyai harga yang relatif mahal serta banyak disukai oleh masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk menganalisa pengaruh Probiotik Nitrobacter terhadap pertumbuhan dan sintasan  ikan Bawal  dan mengetahui dosis probiotik yang paling baik untuk peningkatan pertumbuhan dan sintasan  ikan Bawal. Metode yang di gunakan adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) 5 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan sehingga di hasilkan 15 kali percobaan yaitu P1 (0,4 ml), P2 (0,8 ml), P3 (1,2 ml), P4 (1,6 ml), P5 (2 ml). Parameter penelitian ini yaitu sintasan, bobot mutlak, panjang mutlak, rasio konversi pakan dan kualitas air. Analisis data dengan menggunakan Uji ANOVA (Analysis of Variance), jika ada perbedaan antar perlakuan, dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Dosis yang efektif terhadap pertumbuhan, panjang dan bobot  ikan bawal terdapat pada perlakuan P4 (1,6 ml) dengan padat tebar 50 ekor.Kata Kunci: probiotik Nitrobacter, sintasan, pertumbuhan, ikan bawal

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the water physical and chemical parameters of Ie Sayang Lake for fish culture development area using floating net cages. The observations of water physical and chemical parameters were finds out from April to June 2021 at four stations. The recorded data of water physic-chemical parameters included temperature, current velocity, dissolved oxygen, water depth, pH and turbidity. The data obtained then scored by matching the data values with the criteria for the suitability of waters for fish culture in floating net cage. The results showed that the condition of the water physical and chemical parameters in Lake Ie Sayang is not suitable to be developed as a fish culture area using floating net cage. The water parameter values during research namely temperatur (30,1oC to 31,9oC), current velocity (15 to 19,5 cm/s), dissolved oxygen (2,86 to 5,25 mg/l), water depth (1,08 to 1,93 m), pH (6,13 to 6,35) and water tubidity (0,47 to 0,58 m).

Abstract

Chlorophyll-a has an important role in determining the trophic status and estimation of the fertility level of waters. The aim of this study was to analyze the variability of the concentration of chlorophyll-a on the coast of Southwest Aceh. This study uses remote sensing technology using Aqua MODIS imagery, the image used is an annual Level 3 Standard Mapped Image (SMI) chlorophyll-a image with a period of 7 years from 2015 to 2021 and has a spatial resolution of 4 km. The image is processed using software, namely SeaDAS and ArcMap. The results of this study showed that the distribution of the highest annual chlorophyll-a concentration was in 2019 at 0.29 – 2.27 mg/m3, and the lowest chlorophyll-a concentration was found in 2020 ranging from 0.29 – 1.02 mg/m3. The average concentration of chlorophyll-a in Southwest Aceh waters for 7 years (2015-2021) shows a low chlorophyll-a concentration ranging from 0.29 to 1.22 mg/m3 and belongs to oligotrophic and mesotrophic waters.

Abstract

Tujuan Pengabdian Berbasis Riset Universitas Teuku Umar ini adalah untuk mengaplikasikan hasil penelitian riset tim pengusul untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat di Kecamatan Beutong, Nagan Raya. Penerapan hasil riset dilakukan pada program kegiatan Teknologi milenial (Minapadi legowo dengan ikan lokal) yang merupakan sistem menanam padi dengan budidaya ikan di dalam satu areal persawahan secara bersamaan. Teknologi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan hasil petani dengan produktifitas hasil padi yang tinggi dan meningkatkan produksi ikan lokal. Kegiatan dilakukan selama 5 bulan bertempat di Kecamatan Beutong Nagan Raya. Hasil yang diamati meliputi produksi padi dan produksi ikan pada sistem minapadi. Produksi padi tanam legowo 2 : 1 memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter hasil produksi padi (ton ha‾¹) yaitu (3.04 ton ha‾¹). Sedangkan bobot ikan/petak sebesar (242.25 g) dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan /petak yaitu (65.27 %).

Abstract

Tujuan Pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengaplikasikan hasil penelitian riset tim pengusul untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat di Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan, Aceh Barat. Penerapan hasil riset dilakukan pada program kegiatan pemanfaatan ikan endemik sebagai aneka souvenir visit meulaboh aceh barat. Kegiatan dilakukan selama 1 (satu) bulan bertempat di Rumah Kreatif Desa Seuneubok Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan Kabupaten Aceh Barat Provinsi Aceh. Hasil yang diamati meliputi produksi gantungan kunci dengan pendapatan. Rp. 496.000 dengan total penjualan 62 pcs.

Abstract

Pakan merupakan komponen yang menunjang pertumbuhan dan sintasan dalam budidaya ikan. Salah satu bahan baku alternatif yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pakan ikan yaitu daun tarum (Indigofera zollingeriana). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan daun tarum (Indigofera zollingeriana) terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan pada ikan seurukan. Penelitian ini terdiri dari lima perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan penggunaan tepung daun tarum terdiri dari P0 (tanpa penambahan tepung daun tarum/kontrol), P1 (penambahan tepung daun tarum 5%), P2 (penambahan tepung daun tarum 10%), P3 (penambahan tepung daun tarum 15%), P4 (penambahan tepung daun tarum 20%). Hasil analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis tepung daun tarum pada pakan komersial berpengaruh nyata (P<0.05) terhadap performa pertumbuhan ikan serukan. Dosis terbaik untuk meningkatkan performa pertumbuhan ikan seurukan adalah perlakuan 4 dengan dosis 20%. Nilai P4 yang terdiri dari nilai sintasan 98.33%, pertambahan bobot ikan sebesar 3.98 gram, pertambahan panjang sebesar 3,36 cm, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 3.81%/hari, dan rasio konversi pakan sebesar 1.06. Kata kunci: Seurukan, daun tarum, pertumbuhan, sintasan.

Abstract

Mangrove crab (Scylla serrata), is one of the fishery commodities that has high economic value. This is because it tastes good and has high protein, around 52%. Mangrove crab cultivation is a cultivation technology that requires a relatively short time, which is around 15-30 days of maintenance with a low mortality rate of around (10 - 20). Diseases in mangrove crabs can be caused by fungi and bacteria. One of the obstacles in mangrove crab fattening activities is the occurrence of death during the maintenance process caused by bacterial disease attacks, so efforts are needed to prevent disease. Therefore, research is needed to determine the Identification and Prevalence of Pathogenic Bacteria (Vibrio sp.) In Mangrove Crabs in the City. This research was conducted in November 2023. Sampling was carried out when the crabs were molting based on the results of the study of mangrove crabs in Meuraxsa District, namely Vibrio sp. bacteria. The highest prevalence value of vibrio sp bacteria is isolate code A and C in Muraxsa District, Banda Aceh City, at 40% with the normal/moderate infection category. Water quality parameters at the cultivation location are still within the optimal range for cultivation.Keywords: Bacteria; Mangrove crabs; Identification; pathogenic; Prevalence

Abstract

The availability of white snapper seeds is still as a problem which is there are still limited in some places and only seals in certain areas in Indonesia. So proper seed handling techniques are needed to increase their survival. This research aims to obtain the optimal fasting duration for white snapper seeds before transportation. Transportation was conducted in closed system, transported using a car, for 7 hours. This research was conducted at Ujung Batee Brackish Water Aquaculture Fisheries Center (BPBAP). The research used a Completely Randomized Design with four treatments and three replications, namely: transportation of white snapper seeds with fasting period of 12 hours (A), 24 hours (B), 36 hours (C) and 48 hours (D). The data obtained was tested for statistical analysis of variance (ANOVA) using SPSS 25.0. The results showed that different fasting duration had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the survival rate either after transportation or five days post-transportation.Keywords: fasting; seed; survival rate; transportation

Abstract

The purpose of this community service was to educate the application of probiotics and immunostimulants in aquaculture. This activity was carried out in Cot Darat village, SamatigaDistrict, West Aceh Regency. This activity is divided into three steps, namely: (1) Introduction and socialization of probiotics and immunostimulant; (2) practice to produce probiotics and the application techniques; and (3) the monitoring of fish health and growth during cultivation. The type of bacteria used in this probiotic is Lactobacillus bacteria and the immunostimulant ingredients are turmeric and curcumin. Lactobacillus, turmeric and curcuma are known can improve fish health in aquaculture. The results of this activity indicate that group members have understood the definition of probiotics and immunostimulants, their benefits and how to make and apply them in aquaculture. In addition, fish health and growth are increase during fish culture compare before the probiotics was applied. The differences that occurred during probiotics application in fish cultivation were seen that the fish became healthier, the growth was better, and fish mortality decreased.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) powder application on artificial feed on feed quality and feed conversion ratio for bileh fish (Rasbora sp.) fry. This research was carried out from September to October 2022 at UPR Mina Mandiri Gampong Lhok Seumot, Beutong District, Nagan Raya Regency. This study used bile fish seeds measuring 2 - 2.25 cm in length as test fish. The experimental design used was a non-factorial, Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. The level of treatment applied in the feed formulation was control feed without fermented water hyacinth flour substitution (P0), 5% fermented hyacinth flour substitution in feed (P1), 10% fermented water hyacinth flour substitution in feed (P2), water hyacinth flour substitution fermented 15% in feed (P3). Feed is given at satiation three times a day. The test parameters observed were the quality of the feed produced and the feed conversion ratio of the seeds of bileh fish (Rasbora sp.). The results showed that applying water hyacinth flour (Eichhornia crassipes) on artificial feed gave the same response to the quality of the feed produced but had a significant effect on the feed conversion ratio for bileh fish. The lowest (best) feed conversion ratio was obtained in the P3 treatment.Keywords: feed quality; feed conversion ratio; hyacinth flour; Rasbora sp.
